Askren was in a critical condition and "unresponsive" in a Vegas hospital, according to his wife Amy.
But according to the 40-year-old's good friend, Daniel Cormier, he's now been moved to a different hospital.
The former two-division UFC champion said of his podcast host: 'Ben Askren, our good friend from 'Funky and the Champ', is having a hard time.
'That night that we did the last episode of 'Funky and the Champ', Ben was complaining about some issues.
"He had some infections. He had a really tough time when he went to that convention in Vegas, he was stuck there for a while.
'I wanna report to you guys that he's now back home in Wisconsin. He's with his family, his beautiful wife, Amy.
'Everybody is just kind of praying that Ben gets better and we can start moving forward with life for Ben.
'It's so sad. I don't know how things like this happen to someone who is so good because Ben Askren is a good guy.

'Pray for Amy, guys. Pray for the kids. Ben, we love you, buddy. We are constantly thinking about him every single day.
'I cannot wait for the next 'Funky and the Champ' because we'll talk about that so much more.'
Ben Askren says he will not be back again after knockout loss to Jake Paul
Cormier's update came just hours after Amy was forced to deny swirling social media rumours that her husband had passed away.
She told TMZ her other half is "definitely still fighting".
Askren retired from mixed martial arts in November 2019 after going 1-2 in his three fights in the promotion.
But he briefly ended his combat sports retirement in April 2021 for a lucrative boxing match against Jake Paul, which he lost via first-round KO.

Earlier this week Tyler Perry was sued for sexual assault and harassment by fellow actor Derek Dixon, which Perry's team has denied as "a scam". Now, royal experts believe Meghan will turn her back on her former friend amidst a sexual assault claim. Speaking on The Sun's Royal show, expert Samara Gill has suggested that the allegations against Perry could damage the Sussexes' brand. Samara said: "There's nothing very Christian about a sexual assault claim and I think it's just one other damaging thing to add to their now-war chest of things that have been a problem for them." She added: "I think it shows the type of people that Meghan likes to surround herself with and I think it is damaging to their brand yet again because he was meant to be their closest friend." Samara also pointed out that the couple had made the most of Perry's wealth - including his home, and his plane - when they left the royal family in 2020. Now though, she thinks the couple will be keen to distance themselves from the alleged abuser. She added: "Just watch how quickly they go." Samara criticised the couple's hypocrisy, as they cut off toxicity "even though they're the ones who are really toxic." It's part of a pattern of behaviour that Samara said reflects their eagerness to use people before throwing them aside. Meghan's kids will be SO angry when they grow up & realise how they were used by her Perry previously let the couple stay in his $18 million LA home after they left the UK in 2020. At the time, he spoke on Today with Hoda and Jenna about his decision to let them stay at the lavish property. Perry said: "It was a very difficult time for them. What I know about the two of them, and I wish the world knew, how much these two people love each other." More recently, Tyler appeared in the Meghan's new Netflix show. Earlier this week Tyler Perry was sued for sexual assault and harassment by fellow actor Derek Dixon. The lawsuit claims $260 million in damages for harassment that occurred over several years. Dixon alleges that Perry repeatedly sent sexually suggestive texts, despite Dixon making it clear he wasn't interested. This later progressed to Perry groping Dixon in July 2021, the lawsuit alleges. Finally, Dixon filed a complaint with the Equal Employment and Opportunity Commission in June 2024, before leaving his role in The Oval. Matthew Boyd, an attorney for Perry, gave the following statement to PEOPLE. He said: "This is an individual who got close to Tyler Perry for what now appears to be nothing more than setting up a scam. "But Tyler will not be shaken down and we are confident these fabricated claims of harassment will fail."

The two-time Wimbledon singles champion is conscious of appearing in front of millions and saying something that current British No.1 Draper, 23, disagrees with. Asked by GQ magazine if he feels the need to stay in the public eye, Murray replied: "I'm not thinking daily that I need to tweet something or somehow remain relevant. "That's why I'm much more interested in the idea of coaching because I feel like I'd actually really be helping someone. If I go and work at, let's say Wimbledon, you start getting asked questions about British players like Jack Draper. 'I know when the British ex–tennis players would talk about my tennis and what I should be doing.
