This Monday, we're gearing up to watch 22 New Zealanders lie, cheat and betray their way to winning up to $100,000 (£44,000).That's right, it's time for series two of The Traitors NZ, filmed at Claremont Manor at the foot of Mount Horrible (no, really).As with the British version, the show is a study in human nature, as alliances form early on, and suspicions run rife.The series already aired in NZ, with the New Zealand Herald saying it could be 'the reality TV hit of the year'.But one thing it doesn't have is Claudia Winkleman and her epic wardrobe.Instead, it's hosted by New Zealand broadcaster Paul Henry. Don't worry, his outfits are just as fabulous.
Yungblud's shackles are off
Yungblud, the chart-topping singer who set up his own festival, is dropping his new album Idols on Friday.I was lucky enough to see him at a party in central London recently, where I got a sneak preview of the new album - a blend of his signature pop-punk and emotional depth.The 27-year-old artist - whose real name is Dominic Richard Harrison - was there alongside Florence Pugh, who stars in the music video for one of his new songs, Zombie.He said the new record, made in the north of England with his best mates, was his "most ambitious and exciting music to date".Yungblud is known for his committed young fanbase and, with his new album, he's said he wants to make that community even bigger.Harking back to the sounds of Queen and David Bowie, he told my colleague Mark Savage that it would "reclaim the good chords" (Asus4 and Em7, in case you're wondering). "The shackles are off," he said.
28 Years Later hits cinemas

Batten down the hatches and don't make a sound - this week sees director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland unleash 28 Years Later.It's a long-awaited return for the UK-based zombie horror series that first infected audiences in 2002 with 28 Days Later.The protagonist, 12-year-old Spike (Alfie Williams), lives with his parents Jamie (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Isla (Jodie Comer). He's only ever known life on an island connected to the quarantined British mainland by a single, heavily defended causeway.I've seen a sneak preview, and while I can't say much, the trademark realism and unrelenting tension persists. Fans of The Last of Us will love this.As for those fan theories sparked by the trailer? Despite speculation that Cillian Murphy appears as a zombie, Boyle has confirmed to IGN that the Oscar-winner, who made his name in the original film, will only reprise his role as Jim in the next instalment - already shot and due for release next year.

It is perhaps not so surprising that a video game created by two veteran voice actors opens with the main character at risk of losing their job to AI.But where Date Everything! goes next is somewhat more unexpected.Players don a pair of high-tech glasses called "Dateviators" that turn household objects including fridges, doors and lamps into potential love interests.Creators Robbie Daymond (Critical Role) and Ray Chase (X-Men '97, Jujutsu Kaisen) obviously raided their contact books, as each item is brought to life in the form of a human cartoon avatar created by a star from the worlds of gaming and anime.In a bit of fortuitous timing, this celebration of their craft arrives on consoles and PCs from Tuesday, just days after a months-long video game acting strike was suspended.
Flip out over Benson Boone's new album

King of the backflip Benson Boone had the most-streamed track in the world last year with Beautiful Things - earning enough money to buy his first house - but now he's ready to move on."I'm getting to the point where I just want people to know that there's more than just that song," he told Rolling Stone earlier this year.The results have been mixed. His comeback single Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else, a propulsive new wave anthem, peaked at number 20 in the UK charts, while Beautiful Things still continued to remain stubbornly lodged in the top 10.But his new album, American Heart, is worth your attention. The title track is a widescreen anthem about a near-fatal car accident he got into as a teenager; Mr Electric Blue is a spirited tribute to his dad (featuring the lyric, "Watch the way you talk to me/If you want to keep your two front teeth"); and the second single Mystical Magical features a falsetto so ridiculous its almost endearing.Repackaging the sounds of Queen and Elton John for the TikTok generation, it's efficient and catchy – though I'd avoid the saccharine Momma Song if you have an aversion to schmaltz.

Noel Edmonds' Kiwi Adventure review – Mr Blobby meets crystal healing in this ‘rocking' TV return
He's the same! He's the same! Noel Edmonds is the same! Even if he wasn't quite your cup of tea back in the day, I promise you'll be happy to see him. Fixed points in a universe changing unstoppably for the worse have that effect on you. Edmonds bestrode the world of 80s and 90s light entertainment like a Tiggerish colossus, presenting everything from Top of the Pops to Multi-Coloured Swap Shop to Telly Addicts – oh, how well I remember watching the latter as a woman proposed to her boyfriend and how beautifully Noel covered the deafening silence where the horrified man's acceptance was supposed to go – to Noel's House Party (let us hope Mr Blobby is ageing as well as his mentor), and more, including his last big hit Deal Or No Deal. He became a bit of a laughing stock when he tried to share with the world his discovery, via his reflexologist, of cosmic ordering (an iteration of positive thinking woowoo) but never – I think at this point uniquely among his peers – coming a vilely scandalous cropper at any stage. He was last seen on our screens being voted off 2018's I'm a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here. After that, he used some of the money restored to him after he won a huge case against bankers who had deliberately bankrupted his company group to buy an 800-acre estate in New Zealand and relocate there with his wife ('my earth angel') Liz. Noel Edmonds' Kiwi Adventure marks his return to television and chronicles their life running what he hopes will become a popular retreat, complete with vineyard, watering hole the Bugger Inn, spectacularly good views and spectacularly bad puns. 'I am rocking!' he says, and is eager to share with us the secrets of his youthful mien; 'tranquil power' workouts in the gym, crystal healing (vibrations at 5-8Hz, obviously, or it doesn't work), structural water (post-electromagnetised, in case you are not au fait), twice weekly stints in a hyperbaric chamber, and a big statue in the garden that watches over him. 'All we are is body energy systems,' he … is 'explains' the word? 'They touch everything around us. Which is how you move into the bigger matrix, the universal energy system.' You know what? I loved Noel's House Party. And nothing has ever made me cry happier tears than Noel's Christmas Presents, perfectly-pitched every year on the side of 'warm glow' rather than 'mawkish sentiment'. He's earned this. He remains unassailably himself – emotional, childlike, open (the curiosity/credulousness that lets you embrace cosmic ordering is also what allows you to connect with people and find something interesting about them all), confident and professional. The last isn't an add-on but a part of what made him great. As he puts it at one point, he worked hard and took it seriously. He has an old-school respect for his audience and isn't about to let them down. To watch him now is to be reminded how much contempt there is threaded through our entertainment, our culture now and what we have been reconditioned to accept as the norm. He also remains unafraid of the long march towards a terrible joke, as attested by the scene in which he lowers himself into a cold plunge bath. 'It should have been three degrees! Because when will I see them – Mr Happy and the twins! – again?' If you were anything other than a wholly committed hater of the man before, you will follow him just as willingly as you did decades ago, this time through bad Kiwi weather instead of ill-fated proposals, money troubles instead of swaps, and chaos caused by tabloids instead of Mr Blobby (though we are promised a visit from the latter). When the estate reopens for the season, a local customer is asked for his opinion on the new landlord. 'Seems like a good bugger,' he replies. So he does, so he does. Noel Edmonds' Kiwi Adventure airs on ITV1 on 20 June and ITVX.

The Strictly Come Dancing co-host was flooded with support as she shared a candid update with her fans on Friday night. Posing next to a medical professional, Claudia, 53, looked unrecognisable without her usual heavy fake tan and smokey eye make-up as she donned a hospital gown for the picture. Captioning the image, The Traitors host told her Instagram followers: "This amazing human makes me see. He's operated on my eyes before and he did it again today. No eyeliner for weeks and I sleep in goggles (no words) but I'm eternally grateful. "Do NOT zoom in on my left eye - it's wonky. Thank you Julian. I paid for the treatment, this isn't an ad. I just love him. It's very possible I'm still a bit sedated. Night, night." Gogglebox star Izzi Warner was one of the first comment on Claudia's post, writing: "We still have the costume and Bobby is willing to wear the eye liner for you if you need a stand in Claudia! Happy healing." "You look beautiful Claudia," Drag Race UK star Baga Chipz told the TV star, with a fan adding: "He did my eye surgery about 8 years ago! Played rock music as he did it. He told me it would be life changing and he was right. Amazing man!" Claudia's health update comes just days on from the popular star being made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the King's Birthday Honours. The mum-of-three presenter was honoured on last week alongside her Strictly Come Dancing co-host, Tess Daly, for services to broadcasting. Claudia said: "I am incredibly grateful to receive this honour. It's a real privilege to work with extraordinarily talented people and I have only got this because of them. "So this is for the BBC, the traitors and the faithful, for pianos and for the cha cha. I will buy a hat and am taking my mum. I am ridiculously lucky and will celebrate with Tess by doing a paso doble." Born and raised in London, she studied history of art at Cambridge University and after graduating began her career as a TV and radio presenter, fronting a range of BBC TV shows including Comic Relief and The Great British Sewing Bee. She also presented on BBC Radio 2 until 2024, hosting different programmes on the station including the comedy quiz series Hot Gossip, the Claudia Winkleman Arts Show and Claudia On Sunday. In 2004, she joined BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing, presenting its weekday companion show It Takes Two until she passed it to broadcaster Zoe Ball, with her taking on the Sunday night results show alongside Tess Daly. The presenter joined Tess for the main show every Saturday from 2014, after Sir Bruce Forsyth stepped down. The Bafta-winning presenter is also behind the hit BBC game show The Traitors and won best entertainment performance at the 2023 awards. She will be fronting its charity spin-off series, The Celebrity Traitors, in which 19 famous faces will enter the castle in the Highlands, including comedian Alan Carr, actor and broadcaster Sir Stephen Fry and retired diver Tom Daley.
