ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AeroVironment, Inc. ('AV') (NASDAQ: AVAV) delivered company-owned, company-operated (COCO) maritime intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) services in support of the U.S. Navy's 4 th Fleet as part of Operation Southern Spear. AV's JUMP® 20 medium uncrewed aircraft system (MUAS) was deployed across the Caribbean and southern Atlantic region, providing persistent ISR where it actively tracked potential illicit activities within the 4 th Fleet's jurisdiction.
What sets the JUMP 20 apart from other Group 3 UAS in its class is its superior payload capacity, unmatched modularity and exceptional endurance – all delivered without the need for launch or recovery equipment.
Share
JUMP 20 is a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) MUAS designed for rapid deployment, with fully hands-free autonomous launch and recovery capabilities on moving vessels—even in challenging maritime conditions, including sea state level 5 and winds exceeding 20 knots.
'Advancing and refining the JUMP 20 maritime offering has been a major focus and investment for AV during the past 18 months,' said Shane Hastings, AV's vice president and general manager of medium UAS. 'This contract represented the culmination of that work and marked the first of what we hope are many operational maritime deployments of the JUMP 20. What sets the JUMP 20 apart from other Group 3 UAS in its class is its superior payload capacity, unmatched modularity and exceptional endurance – all delivered without the need for launch or recovery equipment enabling fully hands-free operations and maximizing operational safety.'
According to the Navy, 'Operation Southern Spear was a successful operation designed to advance the Navy's Hybrid Fleet Campaign, operationalizing Robotic and Autonomous Systems (RAS) through manned-unmanned teaming. In addition to meeting operational objectives, this operation transitioned from short-duration experimentation into long-duration operations aiding in the development of critical techniques and procedures designed to advance the global integration of RAS into the maritime environment. AV's JUMP 20 served as a key ISR asset, operating alongside joint and interagency assets in the area.'
JUMP 20 has proven its reliability with over 130,000 land-based flight hours supporting U.S. Special Operations Command combat deployments. JUMP 20's expanded operations into these shipboard environments further extends its reach, enabling multi-mission multi-domain capabilities on a global scale, wherever and whenever needed.
AV's JUMP 20 was ship-based and deployed for approximately six months during Operation Southern Spear under the Monitoring, Analysis, Reconnaissance, Logistics, Intelligence, and Network Services (MARLINS) Task Order as a subcontractor under the prime contractor, SMX.

Rosen Law Firm, a global investor rights law firm, reminds purchasers of securities of Open Lending Corporation (NASDAQ: LPRO) between February 24, 2022 and March 31, 2025, both dates inclusive (the 'Class Period'), of the important June 30, 2025 lead plaintiff deadline. SO WHAT: If you purchased Open Lending securities during the Class Period you may be entitled to compensation without payment of any out of pocket fees or costs through a contingency fee arrangement. WHAT TO DO NEXT: To join the Open Lending class action, go to or call Phillip Kim, Esq. at 866-767-3653 or email [email protected] for more information. A class action lawsuit has already been filed. If you wish to serve as lead plaintiff, you must move the Court no later than June 30, 2025. A lead plaintiff is a representative party acting on behalf of other class members in directing the litigation. WHY ROSEN LAW: We encourage investors to select qualified counsel with a track record of success in leadership roles. Often, firms issuing notices do not have comparable experience, resources, or any meaningful peer recognition. Many of these firms do not actually litigate securities class actions, but are merely middlemen that refer clients or partner with law firms that actually litigate the cases. Be wise in selecting counsel. The Rosen Law Firm represents investors throughout the globe, concentrating its practice in securities class actions and shareholder derivative litigation. Rosen Law Firm achieved the largest ever securities class action settlement against a Chinese Company at the time. Rosen Law Firm was Ranked No. 1 by ISS Securities Class Action Services for number of securities class action settlements in 2017. The firm has been ranked in the top 4 each year since 2013 and has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for investors. In 2019 alone the firm secured over $438 million for investors. In 2020, founding partner Laurence Rosen was named by law360 as a Titan of Plaintiffs' Bar. Many of the firm's attorneys have been recognized by Lawdragon and Super Lawyers. DETAILS OF THE CASE: According to the lawsuit, throughout the Class Period, defendants made materially false and/or misleading statements, as well as failed to disclose materially adverse facts about Open Lending's business, operations, and prospects. Specifically, defendants: (1) misrepresented the capabilities of Open Lending's risk-based pricing models; (2) issued materially misleading statements regarding Open Lending's profit share revenue; (3) failed to disclose Open Lending's 2021 and 2022 vintage loans had become worth significantly less than their corresponding outstanding loan balances; (4) misrepresented the underperformance of Open Lending's 2023 and 2024 vintage loans; and (5) as a result of the foregoing, defendants' positive statements about Open Lending's business, operations, and prospects were materially misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages. To join the Open Lending class action, go to or call Phillip Kim, Esq. at 866-767-3653 or email [email protected] for more information. No Class Has Been Certified. Until a class is certified, you are not represented by counsel unless you retain one. You may select counsel of your choice. You may also remain an absent class member and do nothing at this point. An investor's ability to share in any potential future recovery is not dependent upon serving as lead plaintiff. Follow us for updates on LinkedIn: on Twitter: or on Facebook: Attorney Advertising.
