Harry Kane looking forward to facing Boca and their fearsome fans at Club World Cup

Harry Kane had an early taste of the great American outdoors ahead of next summer's World Cup as Bayern Munich's plane to Miami was delayed by Florida thunder storms ahead of Friday's game against Boca Juniors at the Hard Rock Stadium.
On arrival Kane was still his familiar mild and temperate self in response to repeated questions, mainly from the Argentinian press, about the volatility of the reception he can expect from Boca's fans, who have been the most vivid spectacle of the Club World Cup so far.
'The Boca fans are obviously loud and they're passionate. A big part of their game is to have the fans behind them, to use them as the energy and to take them into tackles and to battle.
'Their fans are going to be passionate. They're going to be trying to push their team to win the game. So, yeah, I'm looking forward to the atmosphere. You know, sometimes it brings out the best in you as a player.'
Kane is also prepared for the physical battle the Boca defenders will offer. Boca's tournament opener against Benfica was marked by concussive challenges, three red cards and a distinctive style of heavy-contact defending,
'It's going to be heated, it's going to be hot, it's going to be a physical game. And they have some quality players as well, so we need to be ready for that. We have to be ready for the battle tomorrow.
'They're a team who like to like to battle, like to make it difficult, like to counter press the opponent. We need to be ready for that.
'To be honest, I've not played against many South American teams in my career so far. So I think any game, any new team you play, is another experience. It's hard to really say how the game is going to go tomorrow, but like I said, I know they'll be very passionate, very hungry to get the result.

'There's a lot of top quality teams all around the world. It's not just Europe where football is played and you see that at national level as well. So it doesn't surprise me that some of the teams who are maybe not looked upon as some of the favourites, are doing well in this tournament. I don't think any anyone needs to be taken lightly.'

June 20 - Pittsburgh Pirates reliever Dennis Santana was involved in an incident in which a fan was ejected from the nightcap of a doubleheader against the host Detroit Tigers on Thursday night. A spokesperson for the Tigers confirmed the fan was removed from Comerica Park after the altercation, which happened by the visitors' bullpen and caught on video. A Los Angeles Dodgers fan was reportedly removed from their stadium by security on Thursday night for holding a sign that was allegedly protesting ICE's presence in the city. Footage posted to social media by a Dodgers beat writer showed the fan being led out as Shohei Ohtani and his teammates played against the San Diego Padres. The female fan could be seen in the clip with a sign in her hand, which reportedly read 'ICE out of LA'. The fan was given a huge round of applause by fans sitting near her as she held the sign aloft while being led up the steps and out of the stadium. Daily Mail has reached out to the Dodgers for comment. It came after the Dodgers said earlier on Thursday that they had asked ICE agents to leave their stadium grounds after they arrived at a parking lot near one of the gates. 'This morning, ICE agents came to Dodger Stadium and requested permission to access the parking lots. They were denied entry to the grounds by the organization,' the team said in a statement posted on X. However, ICE later posted on X that its agents were never there. Tricia McLaughlin, a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security, said the agents were with Customs and Border Protection and that they were not trying to enter the stadium. 'This had nothing to do with the Dodgers. (Customs and Border Protection) vehicles were in the stadium parking lot very briefly, unrelated to any operation or enforcement,' she said. Television cameras showed about four agents remained at the lot Thursday afternoon while officers with the Los Angeles Police Department stood between them and dozens of protesters, some carrying signs that read 'I Like My Ice Crushed' and chanting 'ICE out of LA!' Council member Eunisses Hernandez arrived at the stadium and said she had been in communication with Dodger officials and the mayor´s office. 'Because of the events earlier today, we continue to work with groups that were involved with our programs,' Dodgers President Stan Kasten told a small group of reporters. 'But we are going to have to delay today's announcement while we firm up some more details.' The Trump administration has activated more than 4,000 National Guard members and 700 Marines over the objections of city and state leaders. Dozens of troops now guard federal buildings and protect federal agents making arrests. The demonstrations have been mostly concentrated downtown in the city of around 4 million people. Thousands of people have peacefully rallied outside City Hall and hundreds more protested outside a federal complex that includes a detention center where some immigrants are being held following workplace raids. Despite the protests, immigration enforcement activity has continued throughout the county, with city leaders and community groups reporting ICE present at libraries, car washes and Home Depots.
