Greg and Carrie Penner comment on Demaryius Thomas' Ring of Fame nod
Former Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas was elected to the team's Ring of Fame on Tuesday. The late, great receiver will be officially inducted into the Ring of Fame at halftime of Denver's game against the New York Giants in Week 7 this fall.
Broncos owners Greg Penner and Carrie Walton-Penner released the following statement after the news of DT's election: 'Demaryius Thomas' election to the Denver Broncos Ring of Fame — in his first year of eligibility — is a testament to the indelible mark he left on our organization and community.
"One of the most beloved players and greatest wide receivers in franchise history, Demaryius inspired our fans with breathtaking athleticism, record-setting performances and a joyful, infectious spirit. While we wish 'D.T.' was with us to celebrate this special moment, we look forward to honoring Demaryius alongside his Super Bowl 50 teammates during an unforgettable Alumni Weekend.'
A two-time All-Pro, five-time Pro Bowler and a Super Bowl 50 champion, Thomas was one of the greatest players in franchise history, and he will be added to the team's plaza of all-time greats on Oct. 19.

4 Broncos players, 1 coach make ESPN's All Quarter Century team
ESPN recently compiled a list of players to headline their NFL All Quarter Century team. The list, which detailed the best NFL players since 2000, featured the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady and Priest Holmes (yes, he's ranked over Adrian Peterson and Ladainian Tomlinson, in which the former is on their practice squad.) Nevertheless, the good news is four Denver Broncos players and a former coach made the Quarter Century Team. Of course, Peyton Manning, Champ Bailey and DeMarcus Ware would come to mind. But Brian Dawkins, who spent a majority of his career with the Philadelphia Eagles, also spent three seasons with the Broncos for the latter part of his career and still notched two Pro Bowls (2009, 2011) and an All-Pro nod (2009). Lastly, Wade Phillips, the architect of the 'No Fly Zone' defense of the 2015 Super Bowl champions, was named as the defensive coordinator for the team. Phillips had stints as a head coach, but his time as a DC with the Broncos will have him immortalized, just like with this list. Check out the complete list here. 3 Broncos made Pete Prisco's list of Top 100 NFL players
On the heels of the Denver Broncos' first playoff appearance since the 2015 Super Bowl season, CBS Sports writer Pete Prisco named his top 100 players going into the 2025 NFL season. Prisco named three Broncos players on his top 100 list. Reigning Defensive Player of the Year Pat Surtain came in the highest of the three, at No. 9. "PS2 has emerged as the top cover corner in the league," wrote Prisco. "His ability to lock down receivers impacts the Denver defense in a big way. He was the NFL Defensive Player of the Year for a reason." Coming in at No. 51, the next Denver player named was offensive lineman Quinn Meinerz. "The Belly" was named an All-Pro in 2024 after a dominant year. "He is adept as both a run blocker and in pass protection and is a big part of why the Denver offensive line improved last season," Prisco noted. The final Bronco player Prisco named was left tackle Garett Bolles, coming in at No. 74. "Bolles excels in pass protection playing on the left side of the Denver line," wrote Prisco. "He isn't a power player in the run game, but he gets by with his smarts. He's more known for his pass blocking." Prisco's list mostly matched up with PFF's list of Broncos, with the exception of wide receiver Courtland Sutton in place of Bolles. What other Broncos potentially got snubbed from Prisco's top 100 players ahead of the season? Give us your thoughts on Facebook and Twitter/X. Related: These 25 celebrities are Broncos fans.

Broncos roster: RB Audric Estime (No. 23) looking to win a role in crowded backfield
Broncos Wire's 90-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at second-year running back Audric Estime, No. 23. Before the Broncos: Estime (5-11, 277 pounds) was a three-year player for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish from 2021-23. Estime was the featured back in the Irish backfield in 2022 and 2023, after having a relatively quiet freshman year in 2021, with seven carries for 60 yards. In 2022, Estime had a great year, lugging the rock 156 times for 920 yards (leading all independents) and 11 rushing touchdowns, additionally catching nine passes for 135 yards and one touchdown. Estime's 12 touchdowns from scrimmage were the most among independents in 2022. In 2023, Estime got even better. Estime had 210 carries, leading all independents for the second year in rushing yards with 1,341 yards, as well as leading independents in yards per carry (6.4), and rushing touchdowns (18). Estime also had 17 catches for 142 yards. Estime's collegiate production was so appealing that he was selected by the Denver Broncos in the fifth round (147th overall) of the 2024 NFL draft. Broncos tenure: Estime's rookie year was a unique one in Denver. At first, Estime was backing up 2023 starter Javonte Williams and playing a reserve role in the backfield. Estime then had an injury stint, and the backfield later evolved into a three-back unit between Williams, Estime and Jaleel McLaughlin. Later in the year, Estime and McLaughlin got increasingly more carries, pushing Williams out of the limelight. Estime finished 2024 with 310 yards on 76 carries and two touchdowns. Estime also caught five passes out of the backfield for 27 yards. Chances to make the 53-man roster: Likely. Estime looks to compete for the No. 3 running back job behind RJ Harvey and J.K. Dobbins. Surprise cuts happen every year in the NFL, but Estime is likely to make the squad. Related: These 25 celebrities are Broncos fans.
