Five arrested for robbing ₹50 lakh cash from angadia

According to the police, the victim, Yogesh Patel, 37, works in an angadia firm in Bhuleshwar. On Saturday when he was delivering ₹ 50 lakh cash, three people caught him by the collar and, pretending to be policemen, snatched his phone and made him follow them to a nearby hotel. The accused made him get into a car and sit between two of them in the back seat.
Patel told the police that when he resisted, one of the accused threatened him with a knife. The accused later snatched the bag containing money, drove to Kharghar in Navi Mumbai, and threw him out of the car telling him to leave Mumbai or they would find him and hurt him. However, Patel noted down the car's number, borrowed a phone from a passing biker and informed his manager Sameer Patel about the incident, and filed a police complaint. Patel told the police he had been carrying 9,800 notes of ₹ 500, and 1,000 notes of ₹ 100, totalling ₹ 50 lakh.
The police tracked the car to Pune, and with the help of local police caught two of the accused, Ajay Lokhande, 32, Revansiddha Javale, 27. The two confessed to the crime and the police recovered the chopper knife and ₹ 26 lakh cash from them. Further investigation led the police to the other two accused Sagar Jadhav, 29, and Vikas Dabde, 36, from whom the police recovered ₹ 2 lakh cash. The fifth accused, Dilip Dhekale, 43, was caught at his residence in Thane, and when the police searched his house they found ₹ 96,000. According to the police, Dhekhale also had a press identity card and the forged identity card of a police constable from Thane.
The police have recovered ₹ 29 lakh and are trying to trace the remaining amount. The five accused have been booked under sections 204 (personating a public servant), 205 (Wearing garb or carrying token used by public servant with fraudulent intent), 140(2) (kidnapping or abducting), 309(4) (robbery), 61(2) (criminal conspiracy) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) along with relevant sections of the Maharashtra Police Act.

Case Filed Against Jeweller For Cheating Gold Supplier Of Rs 93.5 lakh
Thane: Police have registered a case against a jeweller for allegedly cheating a gold ornaments supplier of Rs 93.5 lakh in Maharashtra's Thane district, an official said on Monday. The accused, who has a shop at Khardi in Shahapur area, purchased 950 gms of gold jewellery from the supplier over the last three years. Despite several reminders, the accused failed to pay Rs 93.5 lakh to the supplier for the purchases, the official from Bazarpeth police station in Kalyan said. Based on the victim's complaint, the police on Sunday registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the accused under sections 316(2) (criminal breach of trust) and 318(4) (cheating) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, he said.

Case against Jagan Reddy after party supporter dies under convoy vehicle in Andhra
The Andhra Pradesh Police have registered a case against former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, former MP YV Subba Reddy, former minister Vidadala Rajini and several others in connection with the death of a man who was reportedly hit and run over by a vehicle in Jagan's convoy during a recent visit to Guntur to the Guntur district police, the incident occurred on June 18, during a tour programme undertaken by Jagan Mohan Reddy from Tadepalli to Sattenapalli. Police said permission had been granted for only three cars to accompany the former chief minister's convoy. When the convoy reached the Anjaneya Swamy statue near the Etukuru bypass within Nallapadu Police Station limits, information was received that a man had been seriously injured in a road victim, identified as Cheeli Singhaiah, a member of the Scheduled Caste community from the Madiga sub-group, was admitted to hospital with severe bleeding but was declared dead. Following a complaint filed by his wife, Cheeli Lourdhu Mary, police registered a case under section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Officials confirmed that horrifying video footage of the incident has surfaced, showing the man trapped beneath one of the convoy vehicles. Police have initiated a detailed investigation, including the collection and examination of various forms of evidence such as CCTV footage, drone recordings, and witness testimonies. Based on initial findings, the case is expected to be reclassified under sections 105 and 49 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which deal with culpable homicide and endangerment to said that legal proceedings will be initiated against those who were in the vehicle involved in the incident. Techie crashes brother's BMW in Hyderabad; high-speed mishap caught on camera, biker escapes unhurt
HYDERABAD: A criminal case has been registered against a software professional working in Germany for allegedly driving his brother's BMW at high speed and in a dangerous manner, causing an accident in Madhapur. The incident happened on June 17, but came to light on Sunday after a video of the car crashing into a bike went viral. Based on the video and CCTV footage, the vehicle was identified. Further inquiry revealed that 23-year-old Mohd Umar Khalid, a Hyderabadi working in Germany, was behind the wheel. Raidurgam SHO Ch Venkanna told TOI that when he went over the rumble strip, Khalid lost control. In the process of bringing the vehicle under control, he swerved to the left and crashed into the bike near Niloufer Cafe in Madhapur, police said. The biker escaped unhurt in the crash. BMW driver paid damages to biker & left It was also found that immediately after the crash, he paid damages to the biker and left the spot in the BMW. Police said Khalid, a resident of NMDC area, had come home for vacation during Ramzan. He had moved to Germany after completing engineering. A case was filed against him under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Motor Vehicle (MV) Act. A notice has also been served to him and investigation is underway, the official added. The vehicle was also seized.
