DOHA: Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Ambassador Faisal bin Abdullah Al Hanzab has met with Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General in Afghanistan Georgette Gagnon, and Director of Political Affairs at the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) Scott Smith, during their visit to the country.
During the meeting, they discussed relations between the State of Qatar and the United Nations, the latest developments in Afghanistan, and preparations for the 4th International Meeting on Afghanistan, which will be held in the State of Qatar under the auspices of the United Nations.

QNA Berlin Qatar participated in the meeting of the International Follow-up Committee on Libya, which was held in the German capital, Berlin. Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Ambassador Faisal bin Abdullah Al Hanzab represented Qatar at the meeting. In his speech at the meeting, Al Hanzab reaffirmed Qatar's steadfast commitment to continue to work with regional and international partners to achieve sustainable peace in Libya and support Libyan national institutions in a manner that serves the aspirations of the Libyan people, achieve national reconciliation, and build the Libyan state. He also emphasised Qatar's full support for Libya's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, along with the importance of creating appropriate conditions for holding fair and transparent parliamentary and presidential elections based on a consensual constitutional framework. He added that Qatar values the United Nations-led process, the efforts of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, and the role of the Special Representative of the Secretary General.
