Céline Dion Provides New Health Update

Yara Sameh
Canadian music icon Céline Dion has been bravely battling Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) since her diagnosis in 2022, and her life has changed in many ways as a result.
The "My Heart Will Go On" hitmaker has stayed positive throughout, and on March 19, she took to Instagram to share a joyful update with her fans.
The award-winning singer posted footage of herself dancing while playing golf with her three sons, René-Charles, Eddy, and Nelson.
In the caption, she wrote: "I had a beautiful day with my boys out on the course…. Getting back into the swing of things!! Celine x."

Fans were quick to send Dion their well wishes, with many delighted to see her progress. "So happy to see you like this," one wrote, alongside a love heart emoji, while another commented: "Great to see you back on the golf course!" A third remarked: "Seeing your smile and energy is pure joy! This moment with your children is so heartwarming. And that Freddie Mercury impression? Iconic."
Dion documented her battle with SPS in a documentary, "I Am: Celine Dion", which premiered in 2024. When the news was first announced of her documentary, the singer shared a personal message with regards to bringing her story to the screen.
She said: "This last couple of years has been such a challenge for me, the journey from discovering my condition to learning how to live with and manage it, but not to let it define me.
"As the road to resuming my performing career continues, I have [realized] how much I have missed it, of being able to see my fans. During this absence, I decided I wanted to document this part of my life, to try to raise awareness of this little-known condition, and to help others who share this diagnosis."
She also opened up about her decision to go public with her health diagnosis after initially dealing with it in private during an interview in 2024 with the Today Show.
Talking to Hoda Kotb, Dion said: "I could not do this [lie] anymore. What do you want me to say? We did not know what was going on. I did not take the time. I should have stopped. Take the time to figure it out."
Dion had first started noticing signs when she was on the Taking Chances World Tour in the late 2000s. Her late husband, René Angélil, was also battling cancer at the time.
"I had to raise my kids. I had to hide. I had to try to be a hero [while] feeling my body leaving me, holding on to my own dreams," she told Hoda.
"And lying [to my fans], for me, the burden was too much. Lying to the people who got me to where I am today, I could not do it anymore." Dion's sons have been a great strength during her illness and featured heavily in her documentary.

FOMO and Comparison: Are They the Reason We Can't Rest?

A strange discomfort creeps in when we decide to do absolutely nothing. It's not boredom, it's that familiar hum of FOMO, the fear of missing out whispering in your ear, reminding you that somewhere out there, someone is having a better time than you. Someone's dancing at a beach party, someone's soft-launching a relationship with aesthetic candids in a different time zone. Meanwhile, you're in your pajamas, trying to enjoy your comfort show for the 12th time (as you should!) but lowkey checking stories every 15 minutes to ensure you're not missing something major. Sadly the reason for this is that we're constantly exposed to everything all at once, from Instagram dumps and travel reels to many events and birthdays. And even if you wanted to unplug, your brain's been trained to expect a notification every few minutes and again you can't help but to look. The truth is, we've been conditioned to chase the high of 'more.' More plans, more achievements, and more memories we can post about. So when we pause our brain panics, it's not used to the quiet. It starts scanning for things we could be doing, should be doing and worse, it starts measuring our lives against someone else's highlight reel. Rest becomes suspicious, stillness feels wasteful and suddenly, we're losing in some invisible competition we didn't even sign up for and it's all just too much. But here's what we forget: some of the best moments don't come with updates and they don't have to be productive or photogenic. They don't have to be anything at all. Spending a slow day with your family, taking a nap in the middle of the afternoon, and laughing with your best friend about absolutely nothing are the kind of moments that fill you up without needing an audience. So the next time FOMO starts creeping in while you're doing 'nothing,' remember: you're not falling behind. You're not missing out. You're just finally tuning out the noise. And maybe just maybe that slow pace is what real living sounds like. Do you agree?

"Thunderbolts" Sets Digital, 4K & Blu-ray Release Dates

Yara Sameh The New Avengers are coming home. Marvel's latest adventure, "Thunderbolts*", will hit video on demand on July 1 and get a 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD release on July 29, with preorders coming soon. "Thunderbolts*" stars Florence Pugh as Yelena, David Harbour as Red Gaurdian, Wyatt Russell as John Walker, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, a ragtag team of antiheroes who are pitted against each other by Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. While "Thunderbolts*" underperformed at the box office, it was well-received by fans and critics, and seen as a return to form after Marvel's at-best uneven Phase Five. The July 1 streaming date means fans who missed it in theaters will be able to rent or buy it at home, although there's no word yet on a Disney+ release date. The 4K Ultra HD digital and physical release will feature Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, as well as bonus features like deleted scenes, a gag reel, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and commentary by director Jake Schreier. Marvel is also releasing collectable versions of the Blu-ray, including a SteelBook version featuring custom artwork, plus a Walmart-exclusive Blu-ray featuring pop-up artwork. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream News Shell Unveils Cost-Cutting, LNG Growth Plan Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean News 3 Killed in Shooting Attack in Thailand
