A major search for the "vulnerable" youth was launched when she was reported missing but has so far failed to locate her.
Now, cops have found clothing belonging to the missing 18-year-old at Redcar beach.
The items of clothing have been confirmed to be Serren's by her family members, said Cleveland Police.
Previous CCTV footage showed Serren walking towards Redcar beach alone at around 9pm.
Serren's family is currently being supported by specially trained officers as enquiries continue.
Serren is described as 5'6' tall with brown hair and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing a brown coat with fur on the hood, a black skirt, black tights and black shoes.
Cleveland Police Superintendent Emily Harrison said: 'From CCTV, we can see Serren headed towards the beach alone on the evening of Sunday, June 8.
"Clothing has been recovered from the beach which has been confirmed by family as belonging to Serren.
'We have no other missing people reported to us in this area. We have specialist officers supporting Serren's family and providing them with updates on police activity during this extremely difficult time.
'Our enquiries are now centred around the beach as we continue to do everything possible to locate Serren as quickly as we can.'
Cops previously shared CCTV footage showing Serren leaving her home address.
The 18-year-old was spotted by a CCTV camera heading to the De Brus Way area at around 7pm on June 8.
She then appeared to make her way towards Redcar beach around two hours later.
Cops have become more and more concerned for her welfare as the frantic hunt for the "vulnerable" teen reaches the seven day mark.
The youth's disappearance was described as "out of character" for her.
The force have re-issued an appeal for information that could help locate her, asking members of the public who may have seen Serren to come forward.
Specialist officers have been drafted in to comb areas that the teen is known to frequent.
Any members of the public who may have seen Serren have been asked to urgently contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting ref 105161.
Superintendent Emily Harrison previously said: 'A week has now passed since the last confirmed sighting of Serren, and as time goes on we become increasingly concerned for her welfare, particularly given that she is vulnerable and this is out of character for her.
'Search-trained officers have been in areas where Serren was last seen and where she frequents, as we do everything possible to find her as safely and quickly as we possibly can.
"I would continue to ask members of the public to share the appeals to help us generate information and any sightings of Serren, and anyone who may have information is asked to contact us on 101 as a matter of urgency.'

North Carolina resident killed in Puerto Rico for flashy jewelry

SAN JUAN, June 20 (Reuters) - A North Carolina resident vacationing with his family in Puerto Rico was killed overnight in a robbery, leaving him stripped of the luxury jewelry he was wearing, police said on Friday. Noa Joshua Ameson, 38, was on vacation in Manati, to the west of capital San Juan. Police told Reuters the beachside neighborhood where the incident took place is usually quiet and robberies of this nature are uncommon, marking a rare outbreak of violence in the area. Ameson and his family were returning to the vacation home they were renting when armed, masked attackers intercepted them, Axel Valencia, spokesperson for the Puerto Rico police, told Reuters. Valencia added that Ameson may have tried to fight back when one of the attackers shot him. He was taken to hospital, where he died. Police are working to obtain security footage and to identify a vehicle which the attackers may have escaped in, Valencia added.

BREAKING NEWS Court case against Man City star Khiara Keating DROPPED - after she was arrested and charged with possession of 'laughing gas'

England goalkeeper Khiara Keating has had a court case dropped a year after pleading not guilty to possessing canisters of nitrous oxide, often known as 'laughing gas'. The 20-year-old Manchester City star was arrested and charged with possession of a Class C drug on June 18 last year after an investigation by Greater Manchester Police. Keating appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court alongside her mother, Nicola, last July. Nicola also denied the same offence and both her and Khiara were granted unconditional bail. Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that the case was discontinued by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). The Lioness, who was recently called up to Sarina Wiegman 's 23-player squad for the upcoming European Championship, told BBC Sport: 'I'm relieved the charges have been dropped. As I've always said, I did nothing wrong. Keating, 20, was arrested and charged with possession of a Class C drug last year 'It's been a difficult time, but I've always known the truth. Now I'm just looking forward to focusing fully on the Euros and spending time with my family.' Possession of nitrous oxide where someone intends to inhale it for a psychoactive effect became an offence after it was made a Class C drug in November 2023. It is still legal to use it in specific circumstances – including as pain relief during labour as well as for catering.
