Netflix's newest action thriller movie just got its first trailer — and it looks like a high-octane watch
Another adrenaline-pumping movie is making its way to Netflix soon, and the streaming service has just given us a taste of the action.
If 'Havoc', the streamer's recent Tom Hardy-led action thriller, is up there as one of your favorite recent Netflix arrivals, then you might want to add the upcoming French thriller 'K.O." to your watchlist.
That opinion's based on the 'K.O.' trailer that Netflix dropped yesterday (May 13), which gives us an idea of what to expect from Antoine Blossier's upcoming action flick, which you can find below.
The trailer begins by setting the stakes: our main man, ex-MMA fighter Bastien (Ciryl Gane), retired from the game three years ago, after he accidentally killed his opponent Enzo in the ring. Now, he's got to come out of retirement for an entirely new mission: Enzo's widow has tracked Bastien down to help find her missing son.
To do so, it looks like Bastien's about to need to be in way over his head, even with the aid of his newfound ally, Kenza (Alice Belaïdi), a committed cop also out to find the missing boy.
Cue the action, as the trailer descends into snapshots of clashes in nightclubs, abandoned buildings, and out on the streets of France, a shot of a menacing, machete-wielding thug, and much more.
'K.O.' might not necessarily look like it's breaking new ground for the genre, but it looks like it'll satisfy anyone looking for a new high-octane watch. And if 'K.O.' looks like your kind of movie, you'll be pleased to know that it's coming to Netflix soon.

The 'K.O.' trailer ends with confirmation that the new movie will be streaming on Netflix from Friday, June 6.
Netflix has already released a full synopsis for 'K.O.' that gives us even more details about the streamer's upcoming action flick.
It reads: 'Bastien (Ciryl Gane) has lived as a recluse ever since he accidentally killed his opponent Enzo in an MMA fight three years ago. Enzo's widow tracks him down and asks for his help: Bastien is her only hope of rescuing Léo (Maleaume Paquin), her teenage son who has gone missing in the northern districts of Marseille. Bastien sets off looking for him. Along the way, he meets Kenza (Alice Belaïdi), a young cop who is prepared to do anything to bring down the new crime lords of Marseille. Léo is in grave danger and time is of the essence.'
In addition to Gane, Belaïdi and Paquin, 'K.O.' also stars Faued Nabba, Anne Azoulay, Ibrahima Keita, Samuel Jouy, and Virgile Bramly, among others.

Spanning six galleries, the collection will feature a number of artifacts from the actual shoot, including zoom lens used for the iconic shot of Chief Brody on the beach, as well as several recreations of memorable locations, such as the dunes from the opening sequence. Jaws: The Exhibition will open on Sept. 14 and run through July 26, 2026. Squid Game Season 3: director promises a 'crazy, insane, nuts' finale
Director Hwang Dong-hyuk has said he wasn't sure he made the right choices while writing the finale of Squid Game. That's right: after billions of views, record-breaking audiences for Netflix and fuelling the Korean wave around the world, the show is finally coming to a close. 'I had to make a big decision at the end of the season, because it's a finale for the whole series,' he said during a virtual press conference for the show. 'That decision was so difficult to make. I was still thinking about whether it's good or not. But the audience and the viewers will see.' The cast and crew were speaking ahead of the launch of Squid Game Season 3, which launches on Netflix on June 27. A continuation of the second season – which saw main character Gi-hun (Lee Jung-Jae) rejoin the games in order to defeat them from the inside – it promises more iconic pink suits, more games and a looming showdown between Gi-Hun and the sinister Front Man. It may be the final instalment, but it's hard to imagine what an ending will look like for a show that delights in pulling the rug out from under its audience's feet. Fortunately, the cast have been dropping hints. During the press conference, they were asked to provide three words to illustrate the Squid Game finale. Hwang Dong-hyuk chose 'crazy, insane, nuts,' while Lee Jung-Jae chose 'Finale, forgiveness, harmony.' 'Director Hwang keeps saying it's a finale,' added Lee Byung-hun, who plays Front Man. 'But I when I first read it, I felt it could be a finale. At the same time it could be a new start.' The cast also talked about the emotional impact of saying goodbye – while at the same time, putting to bed rumours of another season after this one. 'From 2019 to 2025, it's been a long time,' Hwang said. 'It brought me a lot of memories, good memories. I never expected this level of success with Squid Game. I mean, how could I? 'Your show becomes a world phenomenon. It's crazy. But it's time to say goodbye, I thought. So, that's why I called it the finale. It's time to move on to my next project.' And it seems as though the cast agree. 'I believe that director Hwang came up with the most adequate, the most unpredictable, the most meaningful, and the most intriguing and entertaining ending possible,' Lee added. 'So, personally, I am very happy with the finale and you all are going to be able to see where it all ends soon, but I can guarantee you it's not going to be what you think.'
