Two former UFC fighters shared a kiss during BKFC 76 pre-fight faceoffs, though one was not happy.
While fighters occasionally get physical during their final opportunity to mean-mug their opponent, it's not usually in the way Mariya Agapova did it Friday when she kissed Jessica Eye on the mouth.
Eye was not a consenting party in the lip-locking. She appeared caught off guard by the action and vented some frustration toward Agapova moments later.
The maneuver could add an additional layer of heat to Saturday's matchup, which takes place on the main card at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

Attorney: Albuquerque police fell for allegation, wrongly targeting Jon Jones

In the wake of the latest criminal allegations against Jon Jones, his attorney says his oft-embattled and oft-legally embroiled client has been falsely accused and is being targeted by police. Saturday, UFC CEO Dana White said Jones (28-1 MMA, 22-1 UFC) called him to announce his retirement the night before, and Jones posted on social media to confirm he has decided to walk away from the sport. But not long after that post, news broke online from the Albuquerque Journal, the largest news outlet in the city Jones has lived and trained in for years, that Jones once again is in legal trouble. According to the report, there is a criminal summons accusing Jones of leaving the scene of an accident. He is scheduled for a bond arraignment July 24, the Journal reported. Jones' attorney, Christopher Dodd, provided a statement to UFC Canadian broadcast partner Sportsnet to say his client is innocent. "As Jon's lawyer, I am stunned by the Albuquerque Police Department's decision to charge him in this new case. In the thousands of cases I have handled in my career, I have never seen a case as strange and unwarranted as this one. "Jon was not driving that night; he wasn't in the car. It appears that an intoxicated woman used a false allegation against Jon to avoid being arrested for DWI, and the police fell for it. Based on the criminal complaint, it looks like they went so far as to seek a warrant for Jon's cell phone records while conducting a misdemeanor traffic investigation. "I have never heard of such a thing. It is truly unbelievable that the police would waste this amount of resources on such a case. The only thing I can think of is that the police were targeting Jon for improper purposes. We will get to the bottom of it and make sure that this baseless case is dismissed." The details of the criminal complaint reported by the Journal include accusations that Jones left the scene of a crash with a half-naked and intoxicated woman in the car, and when reached by phone, a man thought to be Jones made "allusions to violence" to multiple police officials. After the crash, according to the police complaint, Jones called the woman's phone more than a dozen times and also sent text messages. The woman said she drank at Jones' house and took mushrooms there, then next recalled being in a car crash after Jones allegedly was driving. He had a DWI conviction in 2012. In 2015, he failed a drug test for cocaine – but a loophole kept him from being suspended for it, and he passed a second test. Later that year, Jones was arrested for a felony hit-and-run involving a pregnant woman. He pled guilty to leaving the scene of an accident. He had another DWI in 2020 that came with gun charges, later dropped in a plea deal, in the early days of the COVID pandemic. The first time Jones was stripped of a title was for his hit-and-run while he was light heavyweight champion. The second was for his first doping violation the following year. In a rematch win over Daniel Cormier in 2017, he failed a drug test for steroids in California and was suspended again – and stripped of a title again. In 2019, he pled no contest to charges of battery against a strip club waitress. In 2021, several weeks after a domestic violence arrest in Las Vegas the night after he went into the UFC Hall of Fame, his longtime team at JacksonWink MMA in Albuquerque gave him the boot and no longer wanted to be associated with him. He later said he was done with alcohol for good. He was sentenced to anger management classes in 2024 after an alleged altercation with a drug sample collection agent.
