BJ Penn claims family murdered, replaced by imposters in disturbing posts

Express Tribune11-04-2025

Former UFC champion B.J. Penn has made a series of alarming social media posts, claiming his family members have been murdered and replaced by imposters. The Hall of Famer urged Hawaii police to investigate, warning of a conspiracy targeting him and his property.
B.J. Penn, a former two-division UFC champion and Hall of Fame inductee, posted a series of concerning messages on Instagram alleging his mother and brothers were murdered and replaced by imposters.
In a direct plea to the Hilo Police Department, Penn named his mother Lorraine Shin and brothers Jay Dee, Reagan, and Kalani Mamazuka as victims, asking law enforcement to intervene.
'Hilo Police Department I need your help. My mother… my brothers… we're all murdered and I need you to investigate,' wrote Penn.
He continued to share his fears in multiple posts, stating that individuals he believes to be imposters are attempting to 'steal everything from his family.'
In one post, Penn expressed fear of legal consequences if he acts against these individuals, noting, 'If I harm any of these people… I go to jail… If they harm me, nothing will happen to them.'
Penn also called on former training partners and police officers within the martial arts community to assist, asking, 'Are you guys gonna help me?'
The 45-year-old last competed in the UFC in 2019, suffering a loss to Clay Guida at UFC 237. He was released from the promotion shortly after, having ended his career with seven straight defeats.
Despite a difficult final stretch in the Octagon, Penn remains a revered figure in MMA history, known for his lightweight and welterweight title reigns.
Authorities have not publicly commented on Penn's allegations. Concerns are growing online regarding his mental well-being as the situation develops.

Dodgers block ICE agents from entering stadium amid LA immigration raids

Photo: Police officers face off with demonstrators in downtown Los Angeles, California, U.S. June 8, 2025. REUTERS The Los Angeles Dodgers claim they denied entry to federal immigration agents who appeared at Dodger Stadium on Thursday amid growing tension over ICE raids in the city. According to a statement posted on social media, the baseball team said: 'ICE agents came to Dodger Stadium and requested permission to access the parking lots,' but were turned away. The post has drawn national attention as immigration protests escalate across Los Angeles. This morning, ICE agents came to Dodger Stadium and requested permission to access the parking lots. They were denied entry to the grounds by the organization. Tonight's game will be played as scheduled. — Los Angeles Dodgers (@Dodgers) June 19, 2025 ICE quickly denied the Dodgers' claim, posting on X that 'False. We were never there.' The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) later clarified that Customs and Border Protection (CBP) vehicles were briefly present in the parking lot but insisted it was unrelated to any enforcement operation. False. We were never there. — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (@ICEgov) June 19, 2025 This incident comes as the Dodgers are reportedly planning to announce new support for immigrants affected by recent federal raids. No official details have been released, but it would mark the team's first public stance on the issue. Dodgers player Kiké Hernández expressed his frustration on Instagram, calling the situation 'saddening and infuriating,' and defending the immigrant community of Los Angeles as his 'second home.' The citywide crackdown is part of a broader Trump administration effort to increase arrests and deportations, which has included deploying thousands of National Guard troops and U.S. Marines to the area. White House border czar Tom Homan confirmed on Thursday that worksite raids—including at farms and hotels—will resume immediately. The Dodgers' response adds a high-profile voice to the growing chorus of opposition to the administration's immigration enforcement tactics.

TikToker Emilie Kiser's husband reveals details of son Trigg's drowning as police seek surveillance footage

Newly released search warrant applications have provided additional insight into the circumstances surrounding the drowning death of 3-year-old Trigg Kiser, the son of social media influencer Emilie Kiser. According to affidavits obtained by The Arizona Republic, part of the USA TODAY Network, Trigg died on May 18, six days after being found unresponsive in the family's backyard pool in Chandler, Arizona. Brady Kiser, Emilie's husband, told Chandler police he was at home alone with Trigg and the couple's newborn son while Emilie was out with friends. He said that after Trigg finished eating, the toddler went outside to play — something Brady noted was not unusual. The pool normally had a protective cover, he told investigators, but on that day, it was not in place. Brady reported losing sight of Trigg for three to five minutes while attending to the newborn. When he looked outside and saw Trigg in the pool, he immediately jumped in to pull him out and called 911. Police submitted search warrant applications on May 13 to retrieve footage from two backyard surveillance cameras, aiming to corroborate Brady's timeline and actions. In the weeks following the tragedy, Emilie Kiser filed a lawsuit seeking to prevent the public release of police documents, including the 911 call and scene photos. Her attorneys argue that the materials are "exceptionally raw and graphic" and their release would violate the family's dignity and privacy. The family has largely remained silent. Emilie has not posted on social media since May 12 and has disabled comments on her platforms. Brady has made his Instagram private. At a June 3 hearing, a judge issued an interim order blocking the release of records while the case is reviewed. Emilie's attorney acknowledged that redacted versions of some documents may eventually be appropriate for release.

Bear Rinehart denies Bo Rinehart's abuse allegations in emotional response

NEEDTOBREATHE frontman Bear Rinehart has responded to serious allegations of childhood sexual abuse made by his brother and former bandmate, Bo Rinehart. In a June 12 Instagram post, Bo accused multiple individuals, including Bear, of sexually, physically, and emotionally abusing him during his childhood. On June 14, Bear addressed the claims via the Instagram account of his solo project, Wilder Woods. "I feel the need to comment on the deeply hurtful and misleading accusations that my brother Bo made," Bear wrote. He denied being an abuser and expressed concern for his family, stating, 'As a father and husband, I must protect my family from claims that misrepresent the truth.' Bear revealed that both he and Bo were sexually abused at a Christian camp as children by a teenage counselor. He said they never received proper support until adulthood, which led to lasting trauma. Bear acknowledged a difficult counseling session five years ago, where he took responsibility for causing any pain during their adolescence but denied being an abuser. 'To now label me an abuser in such a heartless way is not only deeply painful, but also wildly misleading,' Bear wrote. He emphasized his love for Bo and hopes for eventual healing and reconciliation. The allegations come years after Bo's departure from NEEDTOBREATHE in 2020. He has spoken publicly about his abuse history since then.
