Free PS Plus Essential Games for April 2025
Sony revealed the April PlayStation Plus lineup Wednesday. All three free titles go live next Tuesday, April 1st. It's a pretty fun lineup, following an equally strong offering last month, which included (much to everyone's surprise) Dragon Age: The Veilguard, as well as Sonic Colors Ultimate and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection. You have until March 31st to claim those titles.
April's lineup includes three games with almost identical Metacritic scores. All three will be availabe until May 5th.
I've never really gotten into the Digimon universe, but if you like collecting Digimon while solving a dire mystery this one's for you. Digimon are basically digital Pokemon, more or less, though not part of that franchise.

An asymmetrical horror-survival game pitting members of the Slaughter Family against their hapless victims. Victims are forced to use stealth and their wits to evade the terrifying hunters. The game is based on the classic 1974 film and while I still have yet to play it, I've heard great things.

A violent, futuristic first-person shooter based on the classic films, you take on the responsibilities of the part man, part machine cyborg super-cop in Old Detroit. While the game is a bit janky, it's actually quite fun especially if you're a fan of the movie franchise.

All About David Corenswet's Wife, Julia Warner

And she and Corenswet share a Cavalier King Charles spaniel named Ira: 'He's less of a doggy, more of a toddler,' Corenswet told People, adding that the seven-year-old dog 'has a wonderful mohawk, a natural tuft of hair right between his eyes, which is the reason he's disqualified from being shown [making him] adoptable.' According to an interview with People in June 2025, the pair met as teenagers at a Pennsylvania summer theater program and had a 'slow-burn' romance. They were married in March 2023. In 2022, Warner shared a carousel of pics that included Corenswet. Corenswet and Warner welcomed a daughter in 2024, though they have kept her name private. In his interview with People, Corenswet said, 'I feel like I've been a dad for a long time, and just waiting for a kid to prove it. My dad was an enthusiastic father and stayed home with my sister for a period when she was very little, and was very good with kids. And so I think I just inherited that. I liked being a camp counselor, and I have terrible jokes that nobody laughs at.' The baby arrived in close conjunction with the beginning of his Superman journey, prompting him to add, 'Two big unknown things at the same time. And they were both great things.'

Jon Bernthal reported to join Tom Holland in upcoming 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'

Jon Bernthal could be set to return as the Punisher in "Spider‑Man: Brand New Day," the next installment in the Sony/Marvel Spider‑Man franchise, according to " The Hollywood Reporter." Directed by Shang‑Chi filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton, the film is scheduled to begin production in England this summer and is set for release on July 31, 2026, Sony announced via Instagram back in March. Bernthal previously portrayed Frank Castle in Netflix's "Daredevil and The Punisher," later reprising the role in "Daredevil: Born Again" on Disney+. While details remain under wraps, it is reported that the movie picks up after the events of "Spider‑Man: No Way Home," where the world's memory of Peter Parker's identity as Spider‑Man was erased. Tom Holland will return as Peter Parker, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon expected to reprise their roles as MJ and Ned. The extent of their involvement has not been confirmed. "Stranger Things" star Sadie Sink and "The Bear" actress Liza Colón-Zayas are also joining the cast in undisclosed roles, according to IMDB. "Spider‑Man: Brand New Day" will be the fourth solo Spider‑Man film starring Tom Holland and the first directed by Cretton.
