Peter Snowden on the hunt for massive day out with multiple stakes chances at Scone
Exciting colt Beadman delivered Peter Snowden one of the most emphatic winners of his career last weekend so it bodes well that his heavy-handed Scone assault this Saturday includes a filly with form around his explosive juvenile.
Beadman scored by 'one of the biggest margins' Snowden has ever trained when the well-named colt score by an astonishing 8-1/4 lengths in the Group 3 Ken Russell Memorial at the Gold Coast last Saturday.
Snowden has since sent Beadman for a spell but his trainer will unleash the only horse that has beat him when Akaysha makes up part of a two-pronged attack with Miss Freelove in the Listed $200,000 Woodlands Stakes (1100m).
Akaysha prevailed over Beadman on debut before only getting gunned down late by a flying Grand Eagle last start over the Randwick 1100m.
'She has got some good form behind her that's for sure,' Snowden said.
'I've always thought she was a nice filly.'
Bookies rate Akaysha ($3.90) as Snowdens' better chance in the Woodlands Stakes but stablemate Miss Freelove ($7.50) is certainly no slouch.

Miss Freelove wasn't far away on debut and backed up the performance with an impressive all the way victory on a heavy track over 1100m at Canterbury Park last time.
'Miss Freelove is good and handled the track really good the other day,' Snowden said.
'She is a real wet tracker and I think she is doing a good job.
'She always showed us good ability so it's no surprise to see her doing as well as she did.'

Miss Freelove has the superior draw in barrier one while Akaysha is drawn out in gate 13 but Snowden expects every horse should get their chance on the Scone track.
'It's a really good start there with about three furlongs to the first corner,' he said.
'The barriers aren't that big of an advantage but it's always good to draw close and no doubt it should help Miss Freelove as well.'

Snowden has Scone's two-day carnival on his radar throughout the preparation for lightly-raced filly Wave Breaker.
Wave Breaker, a drifter from $11 to $17 shortly after markets opened, gets the opportunity to snare valuable black type in the Listed $200,000 Denise's Joy Stakes (1100m) with Kerrin McEvoy booked.
The daughter of Pierata heads into the race a month between runs following a narrow second behind One Destiny at Warwick Farm first-up.
'This has been the target race for her all prep,' Snowden said.
'She is in good order and is going to go up there in really good shape.
'She has a nice gate to get a good run and is as fit as we can get her.'

Snowden is expecting a bounce-back performance from Fire Star ($26) in the Listed $200,000 Ortensia Stakes (1100m) after the gelding failed to fire in the Hawkesbury Gold Rush last start.
Fire Star, a winner of four straight city races last preparation, never went a yard in the heavy conditions and didn't beat a runner home.
'It's a total forget run,' Snowden said.
'He was out of the race and just did nothing but there is nothing wrong with this horse.
'He is going great and Andy Adkins knows him well and will be with him on Saturday so I think you will see a different horse on Saturday.'
Snowden won the Ortensia Stakes in partnership with son Paul with That's A Good Idea a decade ago.
He's yet to win the Listed $200,000 Luskin Star Stakes (1300m) and will rely outsider Ka Bling ($31) to change that.

The son of Capitalist was last seen finishing fifth in the Tamworth Cup (1400m) and jumps from barrier 12.
'The draw is OK but it's a very good field,' Snowden said.
'Again it's not a bad start there from the 1300m so he will get his chance if he is good enough despite the wide draw.'
Snowden's only runner not in a stakes race is Zealously ($3.70 favourite) in the Gro Events Benchmark 78 Handicap (1100m) with the gelding set to appreciate a drier track than he's faced in recent starts.

Hawthorn's powerhouse premiership team from 2013-15 has celebrated the 10-year anniversary of its famous threepeat, with legends from far and wide joining the special event at Melbourne Town Hall on Friday night. Fans were thrilled to see AFL great Lance Franklin — who joined Sydney after the 2013 premiership and then faced his old teammates in the 2014 grand final — at the function, and lesser lights such as Matt Spangher (2014 premiership player) and Ryan Schoenmakers (2015) were also celebrated. Hawthorn's social media account posted images of the event, saying, 'Aura levels are off the charts.' And a flood of comments followed as fans quickly noticed a heartbreaking detail. 'Someone missing,' one fan said. While another asked: 'Where's Cyril?' Of course, the sad fallout between Cyril Rioli and his former club has been well documented, but it still impossible to fathom for many idolising fans. Rioli was an electrifying Hawthorn fan favourite, a four-time premiership hero, and a 2015 Norm Smith Medal winner. 'Where is Cyril? @jrboyrioli we miss you a lot! Please forgive us for any mistake we have done. We want you to join us as well,' one fan said. And another: 'I do miss Cyril. Hopefully under Mitchel he'll feel comfortable enough to come back.' 'Wish Cyril would go 😢,' another fan said. The fact is, the rift between Hawthorn and Rioli is so significant that it seems the former superstar will never embrace the club again. And that cold hard reality is now starting to be realised by fans. 'Cyril will never come back. It's sad,' one fan said. Former captain and Channel 7 star Luke Hodge said earlier this year that Rioli was not 'comfortable' with the idea of returning to the football club 'just yet'. Hodge caught up with Rioli in Round 10 this year when Gold Coast played Hawthorn in Darwin. And cameras spotted Rioli cheering a Gold Coast goal. 'He had a fair smile on his face when Gold Coast kicked that goal,' Hodge said. 'I haven't seen him since about 2018. I saw (Gold Coast CEO) Mark Evans talking to him so I just wanted to go across and say g'day. 'It was just good, he was looking great, he had a smile on his face, he said his cousin was flying out there and has made a real difference to the Gold Coast Suns. 'It was great to see him and Shannyn over there.' Rioli's cousin Daniel plays for the Suns, moving north at the end of last year after a premiership-winning career with Richmond. 'I just got told that he was here. I didn't see him, I haven't been in contact with him yet,' Daniel told Channel 7 after that game. 'It's good to see him out here still watching the footy. I love him. 'The fans probably got around him, he's so well known here in the Top End and he was a Hawks player himself. It's good to see him here watching the footy.'

Then you really appreciate how good those teams that were able to stay at the top of their game and win multiple premierships in a row.' Murwillumbah preview, tips: Ethan Ensby's Rainbow Lass chases hat-trick

In-form mare Rainbow Lass isn't just chasing a hat-trick of wins, she is on trial for a possible feature race target at next month's Grafton carnival. Following two solid wins over 1000m and 1200m on her home track at Casino, trainer Ethan Ensby feels to time is right to test Rainbow Lass over a longer distance in the Benchmark 58 Handicap (1550m). 'She is going enormous at the moment,' said Ensby. 'She is obviously stepping up to the 1500m for the first time and being by Pariah, she probably isn't bred to get that far but at home, my partner rides her work and she is showing us she is that 1400m to a mile type. 'She sat three-wide working up the hill at Casino over the 1200 metres last start which is like running 1300 or 1400 metres. 'She does like a wet track so the Soft 7 will suit her. My only concerns are the weight, she carriers 58.5kg after Izzy's (Neale) claim, and the gate if she happens to blow the start like she has been known to do. 'If she gets out and into a good position, she should be very competitive. 'If she happens to win this race, I might aim her at the Grafton Guineas.' Ensby is looking forward to seeing Mahuika Maroi make her race debut in the Country Boosted Maiden Handicap (1200m). The three-year-old has been safely beaten in both her barrier trials but Ensby said things didn't go as he'd hoped on either occasion. 'When she trialled at the Gold Coast, it was supposed to be on the B Grass but they switched to polytrack which I wasn't very happy about. 'I didn't want to trial on the poly but with the weather the way it was, she had to go around and use it as a bit of a gallop and hope for the best. 'She wasn't put under any pressure that day. 'We then went to Grafton for her next trial and she slipped coming out of the gates on the wet track and tweaked a muscle hence while it's been a while until her first start. 'She finds a really nice race start off in and although the 1200 metres will be short of her best, I think she will run a nice race with the expectation she will be better for it.' Trainer Ethan Ensby expects Shez Mysterious to bounce back. Picture: supplied Ensby has Shez Mysterious and Gold Puma in the Maiden Handicap (1550m) but is leaning towards splitting the pair and saving the later for either Port Macquarie or Lismore during the week. Shez Mysterious failed on her home track on May 30 but Ensby feels it is worth forgetting that run and judge her on her first two starts. The daughter of So You Think debuted with a fourth to Rainbow Lass on a Heavy 10 at Casino before coming from a conspicuous last when beaten just over a length in fourth place at Inverell on May 23. 'I think the heavy track and the quick back-up went against her last start. She just didn't handle it,' he said. 'I think it would pay to forgive her for that. 'I've given her a bit of time since then and the beauty of training at the farm is it allows me to put her out during the day. 'He first-up run at Casino was encouraging then second-up, she stood like a deer in the headlights in the barrier at Inverell and came out a clear last. 'She really closed of strongly though.
