Race 4 (2,000m)
(7) FIELD MARSHAL is a promising gelding who won well last time.
He is 1.5kg worse off with (8) TROIS TROIS QUATRE, who was less than a length back. On paper, the latter should have his measure but Field Marshal has won on the Poly.

June 18 South Africa (Greyville) form analysis

Race 1 (1,400m) (8) PINETTI has finished close-up in both recent sprints. He has drawn widest and steps up in trip but is proven on the Poly. (5) BRUH showed promising improvement at his second outing over the trip. Andrew Fortune stays with the ride. (3) REJUVENATE takes on males but has some fair form over ground and is improving slowly. (4) ZIYAN'S PRIDE has had experience and the step-up in trip should suit. Race 2 (1,400m) (1) MS SAKURA showed up well on debut and should much prefer this trip. Has the best of the draws. (10) NAUTICAL LANDING has the widest draw and has been frustrating to follow. She has finished out of the money just once in a dozen starts and goes well this trip. (9) ECHO made sudden improvement last run at long odds but seemed to enjoy the extra. She has a chance of a repeat showing. (2) LATE BLOOMER makes her debut for a strong yard and is one to watch in the betting. Race 3 (2,000m) (1) PARLIAMENT SQUARE has mixed his form in seven starts, but could find his feet in this. (3) LIMELIGHT LEGEND has shown up well in fairly strong maiden company. He has to give weight to most of his rivals. (7) APACHE AG is lightly raced but nearly upset last run with first-time blinkers. A repeat effort will see him close again. (8) CALL ME HARRIET has improved at her last two and has a money chance. Race 4 (1,600m) (2) ONE PATH has improved with a tongue-tie and goes well on the Poly. This trip from a good draw is a lot in her favour. (1) PROM QUEEN got a five-point shunt up the handicap for her last win and now meets (9) FIREBURST on 1.5kg worse terms. But she does have the better draw. (6) PLUM PUDDING looks the pick of the Andre Nel pair, given jockey bookings. Won well in her local debut, can improve further. (4) GREENHOUSE is possibly held by Prom Queen on their last meeting. Race 5 (1,600m) (1) SEQUOIA has his first run for a new stable but comes with strong Fairview form and looks well in at these weights. (5) IMPERIAL POWER was narrowly beaten over course and distance last run and that form has since been franked. He meets (7) FEW DOLLARS MORE on the same weight terms as when they last met. Glen Kotzen's runner could turn the tables. (9) ICY BLAST has shown up well in two outings on the Poly and can feature again. Race 6 (1,400m) (5) MAGICAL VIEW has finished close-up in two features behind the useful Green Sapphire and should go close in this contest. A head split Magical View and (8) SCHOOL POLICY when they last met. She can turn the tables. (1) GOODNESSGRACIOUSME improved nicely at her second KZN start. She is down in trip but, from a plum draw, she is one for the exotic bets. (4) TWO G'S was a beaten favourite behind the useful Bevie's Delight last time. She faces a fair field her and is still improving. Race 7 (1,400m) (6) BANK STREET has a modest Cape Town record, but has never been far back. First run for Stuart Ferrie and Sean Veale stays aboard. (7) MAC HARDY is over his best course and distance and is seldom out of the money. (2) GIMME THE FLAME may be down for the Poly. One to watch. (10) COPACABANA won well when stepped up in trip and has a chance again. Race 8 (1,200m) (1) MR MASTER STARTER beat (3) THISISWHATITMEANS by a length when they last met in February. Thisiswhatitmeans has since won twice on the Poly. Little between them at level weights. (2) TWENTY ONE MAY makes his Poly debut. Quicker surface could see him home over the extra 200m. (4) COLD SHINE has his first run for a new stable. Not seen since December but may pay to follow. Race 9 (1,200m) (12) LADYBUG has a tricky draw to contend with, but she made a smart return from a break when going down narrowly over her favourite course and distance. If she beats the draw, she will go close. (2) ETHEREAL VIEW was back to her best last time when a close-up second. From a favourable gate, she can make a repeat showing. (5) AVERNIAN GODDESS has been a frustrating filly to follow. But she got it all right last run over course and distance. (8) BUTTERCUP BABY has patchy form but is smart on her day.

June 16 South Africa (Scottsville) form analysis

Race 1 (1,000m) Many first-timers but, of those who have raced, (8) HOLY STAR was a beaten favourite last time and has two promising runs under the belt. (1) RAGING MOON raced greenly on debut at long odds and was not far back, while (7) RATTLE THE PEACE and (6) CARDINAL CHIEF may be worth following in the betting. Race 2 (1,000m) (1) BELLIGERENT has started at long odds in her two starts but improved nicely the second time. (3) ENGELANDPARK comes from a very much in-form stable and was not far back in her Hollywoodbets Kenilworth debut. She is sure to have come on from that. Duncan Howells' fillies (7) PERFUME POWER and (10) OLIVE GROVE have the benefit of experience and should come on from their last efforts. Race 3 (1,200m) (2) PRIORY TERRACE was well fancied in the betting on debut and finished a close-up second. That run should have brought her on. (5) LUCIENNE has yet to run a bad race and will be a big threat. She was touched off on this course last run in soft ground. (4) ARE YOU SURE has run her best race over course and distance. She has been consistent and should run another good race. (7) CAPRICIOUS MISS will have come on from her debut effort and Gavin Lerena stays with the ride. Race 4 (1,100m) (8) ULTRA QUICK has a wide draw in a small field. He gets 4kg off his back and should be competitive in this line-up. (3) ARVERNI PRINCESS takes on males but has been consistent and is down in class. (2) FATE OF FORTUNE has useful recent form but mostly on the Poly, which is a concern. (4) WHEREVERILAYMYHAT has been close-up at recent starts and has a strong money chance. Race 5 (2,400m) (6) BAD MEDICINE has run two smart races since shedding his maiden. If he can repeat his penultimate start behind July runner Okavango, then he should be good enough in this line-up. The filly (7) ARTIC SILVER cruised home in her maiden win. She looks promising and does not meet a strong field over this trip. (2) ESCAPOLOGIST is not the easiest and gives weight to all, but is down in class and goes well for Cole Dicken. (1) KING BAVARIAN was a runaway winner on the Poly last outing but got a six-point rise in the handicap. He has a light weight. Race 6 (1,400m) (8) PLAZA ACCORD has come well of late and goes well this course and distance. He should put in another honest effort. (7) LOCK AND KEY takes on males but has improved with each outing since arriving in KZN and looks primed for this. There should be very little between (4) TIRPITZ and (5) IMPOSING, given their last meeting, while (6) MOJO MAN steps up in trip and the extra can suit. Race 7 (1,000m) (10) CYMRIC has some smart form in useful company. He has a handy weight and could well be the horse to beat. (4) LUHAMBA PHAMBILI has been in good form since returning from the Cape. He was close-up in a strong field last time. (7) UN BEL DI just needed his last run when making his local debut. He has only 48kg to shoulder. (6) LION RAMPART makes his local debut and comes with some useful Cape form. Race 8 (1,000m) (12) BLACK CHEETAH looks to be a promising juvenile who could prove too classy for this field. (6) MAJOR TOMMIE returns from a lengthy break but shed his maiden at the second time of asking after making a smart debut. If not ring-rusty, he looks capable of a forward showing. (1) TRIPPI T took an age to shed his maiden but, once the ice was broken, he followed up nicely. He has been rested but is consistent. (9) IBHELE is down in class but knocking at the door. One to watch.

June 4 South Africa (Greyville) form analysis

Race 1 (1,200m) (2) HOLY STAR made a smart debut at long odds behind Gold Medallion hopeful Little Boy Blue, who runs this Saturday. (3) INDIGENOUS has been a beaten short-priced favourite in his two local starts. Both were over further and he may prefer this shorter trip. (6) QUINN'S TIME has been fairly well beaten in both starts but has had experience on the Poly and can improve. Keep and eye on first-timer (5) DIGITAL ASSET. Race 2 (1,400m) (1) OPERA FAN has consistent Highveld form. She was close-up over a mile last time, and this trip from the best of draws could see her home. (9) ALAKAZAM ran second on debut and this trip should suit. But, she has the widest draw to contend with and Muzi Yeni has jumped ship to ride Opera Fan. Yeni will be replaced by Andrew Fortune on (4) SPLASH OF LOVE, who ran on well over the distance last time. (6) TULIP FIELDS is a regally bred first-timer and one to watch in the betting. Race 3 (1,000m) (3) PINETTI has improved steadily in her three outings and looks well primed for this. She was narrowly beaten last time and has the in-form Gavin Lerena aboard. (2) MISS KANSAS made a smart debut but pulled up fatigued at her next start. She can improve. (6) LARIUS LACUS raced green on debut but should benefit from that. Debutante (4) THIRD WINTER is one to watch in the market. Race 4 (1,600m) (10) CHERRY OH BABY has finished second in her last five starts. She was caught late over 1,400m last time, but has a massive winning chance over the longer trip. (6) O SPACE O makes his Poly debut and does seem better than his last two with his best recent effort in the soft. (2) SANBEENEE was narrowly beaten into second over the course and distance last time and should feature again. (7) TAKEYOURBESTSHOT looked held by Cherry Oh Baby on their last meeting but he does appear to be coming to hand. Race 5 (2,000m) (6) RICHARDTHEFEARLESS found good market support last time but lacked finish. He wears blinkers for the first time and can improve. (1) FUTURE SAINT was a well beaten favourite last start. He has been knocking at the door and this trip should suit. (7) BALLY MAGIC has improved with cheek pieces and ran second last time on the Poly. Must include in all exotic bets. (5) KING BAVARIAN looked held by Richardthefearless on their last meeting but he now gets a 4kg claimer aboard. Race 6 (1,400m) (3) ONE PATH improved with tongue-tie last time. This will be her third run after a long break and she goes well on the Poly. (2) MERITORIOUS was rested after a poor run. She has since changed stable and will be at her first outing for Alyson Wright. (5) SKYTRIX was narrowly beaten last start and appears to have come to hand. (9) WE WILL ROCK YOU showed signs of a return to form last time. With a 1.5kg claimer aboard, she could be dangerous on her Poly debut. Race 7 (1,400m) (1) MY TRUE LOVE and (11) SKY VELOCITY meet again. Sky Velocity romped home in her first start for her new stable and had consistent Fairview form before that. However, My True Love is 2.5kg better off and has the better draw, so she can turn the tables. (3) MISS PAGET ran third in that same race and, with a 4kg claiming apprentice aboard, she is 5.5kg better off with Sky Velocity. (2) NOODSBERG finished fifth last time and is 2kg better off with Sky Velocity. Race 8 (1,000m) (4) FUTURE FLO has hardly put a foot wrong since his maiden win and coming back to sprints. He is on his best distance and should put in another bold showing. (8) CONNERY was back to his best when he won last time. He can go in again. (1) IBHELE can surprise. He has a light weight and the best draw. (3) JET LEGACY finished fourth in the race won by Connery last time. They meet on the same terms.
