Is ‘I, Jack Wright' returning for season 2? Everything we know so far
By Aman Shukla Published on May 3, 2025, 19:30 IST Last updated May 3, 2025, 11:17 IST
The British drama series I, Jack Wright captivated audiences with its gripping mix of family feuds, murder mystery, and dark comedy in its debut season. Premiering on April 23, 2025, on U&Alibi in the UK and BritBox in the US, the six-episode first season left fans eager for more. With its star-studded cast, including Nikki Amuka-Bird, John Simm, and Trevor Eve, and a cliffhanger-filled finale, many are asking: Is I, Jack Wright Season 2 happening? Here's everything we know so far. Has I, Jack Wright Season 2 Been Confirmed?
As of May 3, 2025, no official confirmation has been announced regarding I, Jack Wright Season 2. UKTV, the network behind the series, and streaming platforms like BritBox have not yet renewed or canceled the show. The lack of an announcement isn't unusual, as networks often take time to evaluate viewership data, critical reception, and production feasibility before committing to another season.
While I, Jack Wright Season 2 hasn't been officially confirmed, the show's open-ended finale, strong cast, and positive reception make a compelling case for its return. For now, fans will need to wait for an announcement from UKTV or BritBox, likely in the coming months. When Could Season 2 Premiere?
Assuming I, Jack Wright Season 2 is renewed by mid-2025, production would likely begin later in the year or early 2026, given the typical timeline for British dramas. Filming for Season 1 took place in 2024 in Hertfordshire and London, with a release in April 2025. A similar schedule could see Season 2 premiere around spring or summer 2026, likely on U&Alibi and BritBox, with weekly episodes airing on Wednesdays at 9 PM in the UK.

A Joint Museum Acquisition of a Rare British Self-Portrait
The British Baroque artist William Dobson (1611–1646) is not a household name, but that may be changing with the international news that London's Tate and the National Portrait Gallery (NPG) have jointly acquired one of his rare self-portraits. The purchase Among modern scholars, Dobson's paintings have been critically acclaimed, especially after two 20th-century exhibitions. Art historians have found similarities between his work and that of such illustrious figures as Caravaggio and Rembrandt, two artists who also have important self-portraiture legacies. However, Dobson has long been forgotten by the general public due to personal and historical circumstances.

Is there a post credit scene in 28 Years Later?
The newest sequel in the 28 Days Later franchise hit theaters on Friday, with audiences heading to see what the rage virus had done to the United Kingdom in the nearly three decades since it began. The story picks up with Spike (Alfie Williams) and his dad (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) heading onto the mainland from the safety of their island refuge for a coming-of-age hunting trip. Warning: Spoilers for 28 Years Later follow! Eventually Spike and his mother Isla (the wonderful Jodie Comer) go on a search for a doctor (Ralph Fiennes) that can hopefully help her migraines and bouts of confusion. They, of course, run into a lot of trouble with hordes of infected and a particularly difficult Alpha (the more evolved and stronger infected). After finding Dr. Kelson, Spike has to come to grips with grief and death in a new way, and he decides to stay out on the mainland to learn more about himself. So, is there a post-credit scene in 28 Years Later? The short answer is no, you can leave when the credits start to roll. The longer answer is that there should have been one. Director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland ended the movie with a bizarre scene that involves track-suited, karate fighting killers in blond wigs, led by ringleader Jimmy Crystal (Jack O'Connell). It's a deep cut reference to disgraced British television host Jimmy Savile, but it's also a drastic tonal shift from the rest of the movie. The newest movie is actually the launching point for a hopeful new trilogy, starting with 28 Years Later and continuing with the January 2026 release of 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. Since the final scene seems to be more of a lead-in to that follow up film, it would have been less of a vibe shift had it followed a wave of credits.

Is ‘Industry' returning for season 4? Everything we know so far
By Aman Shukla Published on June 21, 2025, 19:30 IST Last updated June 21, 2025, 14:37 IST HBO's Industry is a wild ride through the high-stakes, cutthroat world of finance, and after Season 3's jaw-dropping finale in September 2024, fans are buzzing with one big question: Is Industry Season 4 on the way? Let's dig into the renewal status and when we might see it, and what's next for our favourite scheming bankers. Has Industry Season 4 Been Greenlit? Good news, folks— Industry Season 4 is a go! HBO gave the thumbs-up on September 19, 2024, just before Season 3 wrapped. The show's been killing it, pulling in 1.6 million viewers per episode and a 40% jump in ratings from Season 2. HBO's bigwig Francesca Orsi called it a 'marquee drama' that nails the messy mix of ambition and class. Creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay are pumped, promising to crank things up a notch. So, yeah, we're getting more of this addictive chaos. Industry Season 4 Potential Release Date No exact premiere date yet, but let's do some quick math based on the show's track record. Season 1 hit screens in November 2020, Season 2 in August 2022, and Season 3 in August 2024—roughly a two-year gap each time. If that holds, we're looking at 2026, maybe August or November. Filming kicked off in the UK in March 2025, which lines up with that timeline. That said, past seasons got delayed by strikes, like the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA mess, so there's a chance it could shift a bit. I'll keep my ear to the ground for updates. What Will Industry Season 4 Be About? Season 3 ended with a bombshell: Pierpoint & Co. got sold to an Egyptian firm, Al-Miraj Pierpoint, and its London office is toast. That's sent our main characters scrambling. Harper's eyeing a big move to New York, pitching a high-risk short-only fund with Otto Mostyn—could we see the Big Apple as a new backdrop? Yasmin's engagement to Henry Muck feels more like a chess move than a love story, setting her up to navigate London's elite while dodging her dad's legal mess. Eric's sitting on a fat payout but no clear path forward, and Rishi's life is a wreck after his wife's death. Mickey Down and Konrad Kay have dropped hints about leaning into a corporate thriller vibe, maybe channeling Michael Clayton . They're doubling down on themes of money, power, and class. While London's gritty finance scene is the show's heart, Harper's New York tease has fans wondering if we'll split time across the pond. Down insists London's vibe is non-negotiable, so expect that to stay central. Reddit's buzzing with theories—some think we'll see UK politics, like Labour's rise or a far-right twist, or maybe new characters riffing on real-life figures like Elizabeth Holmes. For now, though, the plot's locked tight. Ahmedabad Plane Crash Aman Shukla is a post-graduate in mass communication .
