Nelly and Ashanti admit to 'HATING' each other in new trailer for Peacock reality series
Nelly and Ashanti admitted to 'hating' each other following their first breakup in a new trailer for their upcoming Peacock reality series Nelly And Ashanti: We Belong Together.
The Dilemma rapper, 50, and Foolish songstress, 44, officially tied the knot in December 2023 and welcomed their first child together in July 2024.
The latest teaser - which officially dropped on Thursday - gave a glimpse into the couple's life as newlyweds and parents while also balancing their busy careers.
At one point, the pair could be seen sitting down during a confessional as they reflected on their 2013 split.
'I hated her,' Nelly said, while Ashanti also chimed in with, 'I hated him.'
She continued, 'I didn't think that we would get back together,' while Nelly jumped in with a smile to say, 'She got me y'all.'
Additional snippets continued to show the two stars and their lifestyle in the industry, such as attending events and parties.
'We have grown. We're adults,' Ashanti told the cameras, while Nelly added, 'But we're still trying to have fun.'
As the trailer came to an end, the pair could also be seen having difficulty deciding where they should settle down.
The rapper expressed in a voice over towards the end of the clip, 'With our lives moving so fast...It's not perfect. But we can work our way through it.'
The mom-of-one then said in a confessional, 'Til death do us part,' as her husband added, 'We belong together.'
The upcoming show 'follows the electrifying journey of this beloved couple as they reignite their love, navigate the ups and downs of newlywed life, and the challenges of parenthood while juggling their thriving careers.
'Can this unstoppable duo prove that their love truly can conquer all? A fun-filled exploration of love's second chances,' per an official synopsis.
The first season of Nelly And Ashanti: We Belong Together will contain a total of eight episodes which will start airing later this month on June 26.
She continued, 'I didn't think that we would get back together,' while Nelly jumped in with a smile to say, 'She got me y'all'
Fans quickly shared their thoughts over the new teaser by jumping to social media - with some expressing excitement in the comment section of the trailer on Peacock's Instagram page.
One penned, 'I'm here for it All! I like them both,' while another typed, 'I haven't watched a reality show in a long time but I might have to watch this one.'
An Instagram user shared, 'Now this I would watch,' and one added, 'This is actually looks really good!'
'This was the best spin the block ever that no one saw coming. I love them together,' one wrote, and another penned, 'We have been invested all the 20 years. We are watching.'
A fan said of Ashanti, 'She seems so fun!! I love them together,' while one also commented, 'Baby I'm watching every episode.'
Back in 2003, Nelly and Ashanti sparked up a relationship which came to an end in 2013.
But 10 years following their split, the two stars rekindled their romance and it was confirmed that they were dating once again in September 2023.
During an interview with Love and Hip Hop stars Rasheeda and Kirk Frost at the time, Nelly revealed, 'Yeah, we cool again.'
One penned, 'I'm here for it All! I like them both,' while another typed, 'I haven't watched a reality show in a long time but I might have to watch this one'
An Instagram user shared, 'Now this I would watch,' and one added, 'This is actually looks really good!'
He also explained, 'I think it surprised both of us though. It wasn't anything that I don't think was planned.'
The star added that their time apart was beneficial and had a positive impact on the two. 'We both were pretty much doing what we do.
'But sometimes being separate, you understand one another more. You could be like, "Well yo, let me exactly see maybe what they see."
'We all can be defensive sometimes in our own relationships. We know we wrong but we going to stand on it, you know what I mean? But we all a victim to that,' he stated.
While talking to Entertainment Tonight, Ashanti also opened up about her relationship with Nelly.
'It's priceless, honestly, just to have my soulmate, like my person, my best friend, my protector,' she gushed. 'It's an amazing feeling. The universe doesn't make mistakes.'
The Hot In Herre rapper also joined in on the conversation and sweetly said that his wife is a 'great person' and a 'great mother.'
And while also talking to ET in June of last year, the songstress admitted that she never thought she would get back with Nelly.
'Never in a million years did I think we would be here,' the star explained. 'Ten years ago - maybe yes - but after our breakup, you know, I didn't even think we'd ever have a conversation again.
'I guess when you go through a breakup, for me personally, I kind of just shut that person out... It's kinda like, okay, that chapter is closed and you just move on, you know, and there's nothing there.'
In regards to how their relationship differs from a decade ago, Ashanti stated that they have both experienced a lot of 'growth.'
'We are both at a place where like before, sometimes we would argue and walk out, slam the door, and not talk for a few days.
'Now, it's kind of like, "All right, you good?" You know, give me a kiss goodbye and it's over...'
She continued, 'It's not like holding on and bickering and we find out what the resolution is. We apologize... It used to take me a little longer to apologize.'
Last summer, it was also revealed that the couple welcomed their first child together - a son named Kareem 'KK' Haynes - who will ring in his first birthday next month in July.
And during an interview with E! News earlier this year in February, Ashanti revealed that both she and Nelly want to continue growing their family.
'I am feeling amazing, incredibly pleased, humbled. My life has completely changed for the better. I feel full, you know? My cup is full,' she said in regards to being a mom.
'We're going to add some more,' the performer then said, adding that she is hoping to have a baby girl in the future.
'Definitely a girl to balance it out. I'm outnumbered in the house right now. So, a girl would be great.'

Celebrity chef Anne Burrell's death is being investigated as a possible drug overdose after she was discovered on the floor of her bathroom surrounded 100 pills, police said. The beloved Food Network star, who hosted Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-hosted Worst Cooks in America, was found dead inside her Brooklyn apartment on Tuesday. New details revealed the 55-year-old was found 'in the shower unconscious and unresponsive surrounded by approximately (100) assorted pills', according to NYPD documents seen by The New York Times. Emergency medical teams had responded to the home that she shared with her husband Stuart Claxton. She was pronounced dead at the scene. A spokeswoman for the city's medical examiner's office confirmed that Burrell's autopsy had been completed. Findings on the exact cause of her death were still pending. Claxton reportedly last saw his wife alive at approximately 1AM the night prior before discovering her unconscious between six to seven hours later in their bathroom. It was reported earlier this week that EMS crews had attempted CPR on Burrell but could not resuscitate her. Her family said in a statement: 'Anne was a beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend — her smile lit up every room she entered. 'Anne's light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world. Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal.' A Food Network spokesperson added, 'Anne was a remarkable person and culinary talent – teaching, competing and always sharing the importance of food in her life and the joy that a delicious meal can bring. 'Our thoughts are with Anne's family, friends and fans during this time of tremendous loss.' Just hours before her passing Burrell had performed at improv show at a comedy club in Brooklyn, after having taken classes at the venue's training center. In a podcast earlier this year she spoke with Tori Spelling on taking the classes and how she planned to expand her horizons. She said: 'I just started taking acting classes. I started yesterday, actually... It's like an improv for actors' class. 'I got there and it's like eight people in the class. I'm the oldest one. Every other person has like, "Oh, I have a master's in fine arts in theater."' Burrell showed off her self-awareness and sense of humor that her fans were familiar with as she joked about the age gap between she and her fellow students. She said: 'I'm like, "okay, I've never taken an acting class. I don't know, this is new to me." 'I wonder if these delightful and super talented kids look at me and they're like, "What's this old lady doing here?"' The television personality had taken a break from her show Worst Cooks In America for season 28 which baffled many fans and Spelling, 52, asked at the time what led her to that decision. Burrell answered: 'I can cook, yes, I can do TV, but also, what else? I've got more to do in my life, I feel like.' She also admitted that she was just 'dipping my toe' when it came to the pivot to acting. Burrell explained: 'I feel very excited about it. The SAS franchise is in the midst of a major makeover, with a slew of stars now touching down in Morocco to begin filming the new season. Daily Mail Australia can reveal six 'Aussie celebrities' have secretly arrived in Marrakesh to film an 'all-new version' of the hit survival series. Dubbed SAS Hotel, the hush-hush series is said to be unlike anything fans have seen before. Described by insiders as part military boot camp, part luxury mind game, the series is slated to air in the UK first but could very well land on Channel Seven late next year. 'It's a wildcard version of SAS with a twist,' one well-placed source said. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'It's still brutal, still physically and mentally demanding but with an added psychological edge that really messes with the recruits. 'It's Who Dares Wins meets The White Lotus.' Among the stars spotted arriving in Morocco are 'reality Queen' Jessika Power, singer and actress Natalie Bassingthwaighte, and Neighbours legend Ryan Maloney. All chosen for their recognisability in both the UK and Australia. 'There's a definite strategy here, everyone has to be a big name in both markets,' the insider reveals. Brendan Fevola had Ant and his brother Dan disqualified from the Celebrity Edition of the show following an off-camera incident overseas. The drama unfolded during a day off from filming when Dan allegedly got into a heated argument with TikTok stars Luke and Scott O'Halloran. Dan reportedly yelled at the brothers and used inappropriate language late at night when most of the cast had already gone to bed. Ant was not directly involved in the incident but was disqualified along with his brother. Brendan, who was competing on the show with his daughter Leni, is reportedly said to have confronted Dan over the behaviour. He allegedly gave producers an ultimatum: remove the Middleton brothers or he and Leni would walk. Shortly after, Ant and Dan were sent home and cut from the series. SAS Hotel location sources say Ant has not appeared in Morocco and therefore it would be fair to say he is not a part of the project. Meanwhile, sightings of sports stars, TV personalities and actors from the UK have been seen coincidentally arriving on the same day. The official list will be announced in the coming weeks. Filming is expected to wrap in just four weeks, with stars returning home by August 2 – win or lose. And if SAS Hotel strikes a chord with British audiences, insiders say it could pave the way for a full SAS Australia revival - with a whole new look and feel. New Hampshire city in 'Jumanji' marks 30th anniversary with animal costume race
Madeline Murphy remembers the instructions she was given on the set of 'Jumanji' when she was an extra some 30 years ago: 'Pretend you're frightened and you're screaming because an elephant's coming after you.' So, that's what she did in the Central Square of Keene, New Hampshire, running back and forth, over and over, on a long day in November 1994. 'I was pretty tired by the end of the day, and it was cold," said Murphy, 61. She got a check for $60.47 — and several seconds of screen time. Murphy was one of about 125 extras cast in the classic Robin Williams film, which is marking its 30th anniversary. It's spawned several sequels, including one planned for next year. The city of about 23,000 people in the southwestern corner of the state is celebrating its ties to 'Jumanji' this weekend. A featured event is a 'Rhino Rumble Road Race' saluting the film's stampede scenes of elephants, rhinos and zebras on Saturday. Runners in inflatable animal costumes are sprinting about a quarter mile (less than half a kilometer) around the square. There's also a cast party, a parade, and a scavenger hunt, among other events. Keene gets picked thanks to coffee craving Based on the 1981 children's book by Chris Van Allsburg about a mysterious jungle adventure board game, the movie version of 'Jumanji' is set in the fictional small town of Brantford, New Hampshire. Veteran location manager Dow Griffith was crisscrossing New England in search of the right spot. A coffee lover who grew up in Seattle, he recalled feeling desperate one day for a good brew. He was a bit east of Keene at the time, and someone suggested a shop that was near the square. 'I took my cherished cup of double dry cappuccino out to the front porch, took a sip, looked to my left — and by God — there was the place I had been looking for!" he told The Associated Press. 'So really, we have coffee to thank for the whole thing.' Scenes were filmed at the square that fall and the following spring. The fall scenes show a present-day town that had declined. Extras played homeless people and looters, in addition to panicked runners fleeing from the jungle animals. Joanne Hof, now 78, had needed her son's help to spot herself behind the elephants, running with her hands up. Hof, a reading specialist, bought a videotape of 'Jumanji' and showed it to the kids she worked with. 'They were very impressed that I was in the movie,' she said. The spring scenes, appearing early in the film, depict the town in 1969. Extras drove classic cars around the pristine-looking square and others walked around, dressed for that time period. 'I told the makeup person, 'Do you know how to do a French twist?'" recalled Kate Beetle, 74, of Alstead, who said she can be seen for "a micro-second" crossing a street. 'They just found me the right lady's suit and right flat shoes, and then the hair is kind of what I suspect did it.' The city helped transform itself The 'Jumanji' crews worked well with the city in getting the permits to transform Central Square into a dilapidated, neglected piece of public property, recalled Patty Little, who recently retired as Keene's clerk. 'They brought in old, dead shrubbery and threw it around and made the paint peel on the gazebo,' she said. Items such as parking meters and lilac bushes were removed and a large Civil War-era statue was brought in to cover a fountain. Graffiti was on the walls and crumpled vehicles in the stampede scene were anchored in place. Everything was restored, and fresh flowers were brought in the following spring, she said. Crews spent a total of about a week in the city for both settings. Little, whose classic 1961 Ambassador is caught on camera, could see everything happening from her office window. 'Did I get a lot of work done? I don't know during those days,' she said. Locals watch and meet Robin Williams A crowd turned out to watch a long-haired, bearded Williams run down the street in a leaf-adorned tunic. In the movie, he had just been freed from the game that had trapped him as a boy for years. 'He's shorter than I thought he was!' one viewer said, according to local chronicler Susan MacNeil's book, 'When Jumanji Came to Keene." Others said, 'He has great legs — muscular, isn't he? But so hairy!" and 'Isn't he freezing dressed like that?" The mayor honored him with a key to the city. Williams, noticing the mayor was a bit shorter, suddenly announced at the presentation, ''I am the mayor of Munchkinland,'' with a voice to match, City Councilor Randy Filiault recalled. He stayed in character for 15 to 20 minutes, 'just bouncing off the walls," approaching people in the audience and pulling their hats over their eyes. Eventually, he stopped, ending with a solemn 'Thank you,' Filiault said. 'I am really seeing something cool here,' Filiault remembered thinking. 'How fortunate we were.' When Williams died by suicide in 2014, people left flowers and photos beneath a painted 'Parrish Shoes' wall sign advertising a fictional business left over from 'Jumanji." Former Keene police officer Joe Collins, who was assigned to watch over then-child actors Kirsten Dunst and Bradley Pierce, also died by suicide, last year. Festival organizers planned a discussion about mental health and suicide prevention to pay tribute to Williams and Collins. 'I think Robin would have been impressed with that,' said Murphy, who met Williams and shook his hand. ___
