Special OJEE on July 15-16 to fill vacant seats

BHUBANESWAR: A special Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) will be conducted for filling up vacant seats in BTech and other professional courses on July 15 and 16, informed the OJEE committee.
Committee chairman DP Satpathy said the process of registration and online application for the Special OJEE-2025 commenced from Friday and will continue till June 23.
Satpathy said the entrance test will be conducted for BTech, LE Tech (diploma), LE Tech (BSc), MBA, MCA and BPharm courses. Candidates who have appeared earlier in either of the exams are not required appear this time.
The results of special OJEE in BTech will be used to fill up the leftover seats in engineering colleges and technical institutes, after first phase counselling for BTech is completed on the basis of JEE Main ranking. Similarly, the ranks of the special OJEE in LE Tech (diploma), LE Tech (BSc), MBA, MCA and BPharm will be used for the seats that will fall vacant after admission to these courses based on the OJEE-2025.
Meanwhile, officials also clarified that candidates from outside the state are not eligible for admission in government colleges, but can enrol in private professional colleges and institutions.

Eligible candidates can participate in the counselling process by registering on the official website, The OJEE round 1 mock seat allotment list will be released on July 1, and the final seat allotment list will be released on July 8. Admissions to participating colleges will be based on JEE Main and OJEE ranks 2025. The Board will conduct separate counselling for JEE Main and OJEE exam qualifiers for normal and BTech lateral entry admissions. Here's a breakdown of the counselling process: 1. Registration: Candidates need to register themselves on the OJEE website. 2. Choice Filling and Locking: Candidates will have to fill in their preferred colleges and courses, and lock their choices. 3. Provisional Seat Allotment: Based on the candidates' ranks and choices, a provisional seat allotment will be made. 4. College Reporting: Candidates will have to report to the allotted college for verification and other formalities. 5. Fee Payment and Document Verification: Candidates will have to pay the fees and submit the required documents for verification. 6. Final Seat Allotment: After the verification process, the final seat allotment will be made, and candidates will have to report to the allotted college with a seat allotment letter. The choice locking process is set to begin on July 3, 2025. Following this, the registration and choice locking's last date is July 6, 2025. On July 7, there will be a reallocation of data, verification, and validation of allocated seats. The first seat allotment for Round 1 will be declared on July 8, 2025. From July 9 to July 15, candidates can complete online reporting, fee payment, document verification, and exercise their freeze or float options. The last date to respond to queries for Round 1 is July 15, 2025. Withdrawal of seats from the first allotment and choice editing for Round 2 can be done on July 16, 2025. Data reallocation, verification, and validation for Round 2 will occur on July 19, 2025. The seat allotment for Round 2 will be released on July 20, 2025. Subsequently, from July 21 to July 26, candidates must complete online reporting, fee payment, document verification, and opt for freeze or float options for the seats allotted in Round 2 or earlier. Withdrawal of seats from Round 2 will be permitted on July 26, 2025, and the last date to respond to queries for Round 2 is July 27, 2025. Registration for the 2nd OJEE (Special OJEE lateral entry/ JEE Main rank holders) will open on July 29 and close on August 1, 2025. The final seat allotment for Round 2 (final round) will be announced on August 1, 2025. From August 1 to August 5, candidates need to report online for the final admission round, pay admission fees, upload documents, undergo verification, and exercise their freeze/float options. The final date to respond to queries for this round is August 5, 2025. Finally, college reporting will start on August 6, 2025. A total of 90 institutions will participate in the OJEE counselling process 2025, including 8 government and government-aided institutions and 82 self-financing institutions. Candidates are advised to check the official website for the latest updates and schedule.

HYDERABAD: Over 30,000 candidates qualified TG EdCET-2025 (computer-based test), results of which were released on Saturday. Of 32,106 candidates who appeared for the test, 30,944 qualified, registering a pass percentage of 96.30%. The test was conducted online on June 1 in two sessions across 74 centres in 15 cities. The preliminary answer key was placed on TG EdCET-2025 website on June 5, and objections were received up to June 9. The results were processed with the final key and approved by the EdCET-2025 committee on Saturday.
