Dallas Goedert and the Philadelphia Eagles are hungry for another Super Bowl.
The 30-year-old tight end and his teammates are only four months removed from winning a Super Bowl, easily defeating the Kansas City Chiefs, 40-22, in Super Bowl LIX. However, they're back at work again, recently completing minicamp and eager to repeat as back-to-back champs.
'I think the biggest challenge is the sustained success part of it, and I think we've been doing a really good job of talking to different people and figuring out how they were able to continue to have success after they won a championship,' says Goedert in a one-on-one interview. 'The biggest thing is just being where your feet are, not relying on what you did in the past, but what are you currently doing to improve?'
Goedert says the team is 'more hungry' despite avenging their Super Bowl loss against the Chiefs from Super Bowl LVII. It's a big reason why the veteran tight end was so eager to return to the Eagles after Philadelphia entertained trade offers for him in the offseason. The two sides were eventually able to agree to a reworked deal that ensures Goedert will be back for the 2025 season.
'As a team, we've been doing a great job this off season, it doesn't seem like anybody's staying on the Super Bowl, the fact that we won it,' says Goedert. 'Everybody's almost more hungry, because we did get there, because we did win it, we know what it takes to get back. I think we've been doing a good job in that aspect.'
It won't be easy considering the Eagles face the fourth-toughest schedule in the NFL, with 11 of their 17 games during the 2025 season being against playoff opponents.
'The hardest part is, every team we play every week, they want to beat the last year's Super Bowl champion, and that's what they're trying to do,' says Goedert. 'That's what we're going to have to focus on, is just making sure we're where our feet are, and that we have the same process that got us to where we were last year.'
As they look to repeat as Super Bowl champs, Philadelphia will literally match up against the NFL's best from last season. They'll face four playoff teams in the first five weeks, including the Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They'll also match up against the 14-3 Minnesota Vikings, the 13-4 Buffalo Bills and the 15-2 Detroit Lions during the 2025 season.
'We can't look ahead and we can't say we're going to go back, because that's when you're going to get bit in the butt,' says Goedert. 'We just got to make sure we go through our process the same way we have in the past and continue to improve and evolve and do the things that are important to winning.'
Goedert mentions how Jalen Hurts – who won Super Bowl MVP – was already back on the field almost immediately after winning the Super Bowl because he's that determined to win it again. Both Hurts and Goedert spoke to six-time NBA champion Michael Jordan about what it takes to keep winning.
'Jalen went back to throwing right away, and he said it was for his own sanity,' says Goedert of Hurts. 'He hung out with Michael Jordan, and I asked him about the same thing to sustain success, about how he was able to do it multiple times, multiple years in a row. When you have leaders like that that don't care about what happened last year, they're looking forward to it. They believe their best is yet to come.'
The former second-round draft pick says it makes 'everything easier' when your teammates are all hungry to continue winning.
'It makes everything easier, and it makes you want to be right there with them,' says Goedert. 'Continue to improve, get better, get stronger, get faster. It's looking good for us this year, and we just got to make sure we keep taking it day by day.'
The South Dakota native is partnering with Amgen to speak on behalf of his experiences with plaque psoriasis. Goedert has dealt with the skin condition since he was 10 years old and says using their topical cream has helped alleviate the symptoms.
'I've been dealing with plaque psoriasis ever since I was 10 years old, and it causes rough, flaky patches on your skin, but it actually starts from within your body," says Goedert. 'For me, being a football player, you want to put all your focus on the game, the game plan, and you don't want to be distracted. which plaque psoriasis kind of does When they show up, I put topicals on them, and I found something that treats from within. It's worked for my lifestyle."
Goedert has been using Amgen since last year and will be speaking about it at Tight End University in the coming days in Nashville, Tennessee.
'I'm on an Amgen medicine, and I'm trying to spread the word about plaque psoriasis,' says Goedert. 'It's been an incredible partnership with Amgen, and it's been working for me. I'm just happy to raise a little bit of awareness for something that has impacted my life so much.'

How to watch Seattle Sounders vs Paris Saint-Germain: TV channel and live stream for Club World Cup today
Paris Saint-Germain will close out their Club World Cup group stage campaign today, meeting the Seattle Sounders at Lumen Field. The Parisiens have had mixed fortunes in the United States, producing a formidable 4-0 win over ten-man Atletico Madrid in their opener before falling to a frustrated 1-0 loss to Botafogo. Advertisement Igor Jesus, reportedly set to join Nottingham Forest this summer, was the goalscorer in the Botafogo defeat. Luis Enrique, though, highlighted the efforts of their back-line as a defining factor in the result. 'Botafogo was the team that defended us best all season, obviously in our League and in the Champions League,' he said. 'They made a low block from the start and were very efficient, united. We didn't generate as many chances as usual.' The champions of Europe could not muster a response to his first-half strike, failing to convert any of their 16 shots, 10 corners, and 75% possession. Despite enjoying home pitch advantage for much of the competition, Seattle sit bottom of Group B with zero points. They are not yet eliminated, though, thanks to the middling fortunes of Atletico and PSG, and could still qualify with a win. Advertisement Goal difference is not an issue, either, as any win would see them surpass Atletico's tally of -2. How to watch Seattle Sounders vs PSG Live stream: Viewers can watch the action live online via the DAZN website. Kick-off is at 8pm this evening. DAZN is the global broadcaster of the new-look Club World Cup. Steelers fans may soon get a glimpse at the 50th anniversary edition of the Terrible Towel — as a special announcement is coming next week. The official Steelers Pro Shop teased that a reveal is coming, posting an image on social media of what appears to be a close-up of the 50th anniversary 2025 Terrible Towel. Back in May, Steelers President Art Rooney II claimed a new throwback jersey was set to be revealed in July, and also hinted at a 'little celebration' for the 50th anniversary of the Terrible Towel. Advertisement The Steelers debuted the Terrible Towel on December 27, 1975, in a playoff matchup against the Baltimore Colts, and it has since become a larger-than-life symbol of Pittsburgh sports — evident by its journeys to unbelievable locations such as Mt. Bills Praised For 'Home Run' Offseason
Bills Praised For 'Home Run' Offseason originally appeared on Athlon Sports. When it comes to assessing the Buffalo Bills' offseason, most gravitate to the things they haven't done - like extend James Cook. Advertisement However, it is worth noting that the franchise has done a great deal of good over the past couple of months, both by signing key free agents and by re-signing their young talent. Yes, we get it with Cook, but we also can't overlook how this roster is constructed and that a lot of young, promising talent have seen their futures be pledged to Buffalo. For SI's Matt Verderame, in his good, bad, and ugly from the 2025 offseason, Beane's ability to get most key players re-signed is definitely a positive. "This offseason, general manager Brandon Beane extended a slew of his younger, homegrown players, including corner Christian Benford, receiver Khalil Shakir, linebacker Terrel Bernard and edge rusher Gregory Rousseau," Verderame writes. "There's not a single Pro Bowl or All-Pro nod between the quartet, but each is a rising star at his position and Beane got them all on good deals. Advertisement "The only remaining question in this realm is running back James Cook, who has a year left on his rookie deal. Cook led the league with 16 rushing touchdowns in 2024 but is still slated for free agency. If Cook re-signs at some point, that's another home run for Beane and the Bills." © Tina MacIntyre-Yee/Democrat and Chronicle / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images With a host of key players now locked away, the Bills can look forward to what they hope will be a 2025 season that ends in Josh Allen hoisting the Lombardi Trophy. Yes, Cook and his contract saga have taken the edge off what has been a fruitful offseason, but there have been good strides made elsewhere with the roster. Advertisement None of the contract extensions were ridiculous in terms of money, so the Bills will be in a good spot, salary cap-wise, down the line. But while those deals were "home runs," there is still one more that must be done. Somehow, someway, figure out a deal for Mr. Cook, and this 2025 would have been as close to perfect for Buffalo as you can get.
