Dave Myers' wife opens up on 'guilt' as she reflects on late husband's cancer battle
Dave Myers' wife Lili opened up about her late husband's cancer battle on Friday's Lorraine
Liliana Orzac, the wife of Hairy Bikers star Dave Myers, was visibly moved as she discussed feelings of guilt following her husband's passing.
Dave Myers sadly passed away last February at 66 years old, after revealing his cancer diagnosis in 2022.
On ITV's Lorraine this Friday (June 20), a year on from his death, Lili spoke with Ranvir Singh about her new book that delves into her life with the Hairy Bikers legend.
The couple first crossed paths in 2005 while Dave and his best friend, Si King, were filming the inaugural series of the Hairy Bikers in Romania.
In her heartfelt memoir, Dave and Me, Lili recounts their initial encounter, the growth of their romance, and their shared escapades as they established their lives together in Britain, reports the Mirror.

Her book, which is now on sale, also explores the struggles they endured during Dave's battle with cancer, detailing his experiences with treatment and the precious moments they cherished towards the end.
During her appearance on today's Lorraine, Lili expressed: "It's an enormous thing to hear that word, cancer. But when you hear that, you don't fully understand the consequences of the treatment or the journey that's coming after that word.
"The steps on hospital corridors, the shattered dreams, the plans you had for the future that are not going to be there anymore."
She added: "Afterwards, you're beating yourself up for thinking, 'I should have, I would have'. And the guilt you haven't done enough, and, 'How could I let this happen in my care?'"
Ranvir shared a touching comparison between Lili's experience with Dave and her friend Kate Garraway, whose husband Derek Draper sadly passed away last year after a long fight with Covid-19.

"I followed her journey, and I can totally feel for what she went through," Lili empathised.
In a remarkable tribute last year, 45,000 bikers - led by Si - rode from London to Dave's birthplace of Barrow-in-Furness in a moving homage known as Dave Day.
Lili and Dave's friend Jason Woodcock have now confirmed the return of this heartfelt event to Barrow this weekend.

"Thousands of bikers are going to join us [tomorrow] and we have a full weekend of celebrations in Barrow-in-Furness. The community is coming together, the biking community, the community in Barrow-in-Furness coming together," Lili concluded.
Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV1 at 9am
