Rekha
's iconic film 'Umrao Jaan' is set to re-release in theatres on June 27. It's considered one of her best works and was directed by
Muzaffar Ali
. As the film brings back memories with its re-release, here's recalling what Muzaffar had spoken about Rekha and
Amitabh Bachchan
which was mentioned in the biography of the actress written by Yasser Usman.
'Umrao Jaan' had originally released in 1981 and incidentally, it was the same year that saw the release of 'Silsila' starring Big B, Rekha and Jaya Bachchan. In her biography called, 'Rekha: The Untold Story' by Yasser Usman, the author wrote about what Muzaffar had told him about Bachchan and the actress. In the book, it was written that Muzaffar told Yasser, "Rekha is a very sensitive woman... Amitabh Bachchan used to come and sit on our sets, during the Delhi shooting of Umrao Jaan.
That's a fact. Whenever referring to Amitabh, she always spoke using 'inko, inhone', like women do who consider themselves married. I think she considered herself married."
The author further wrote, "Unlike many of Rekha's and Amitabh's colleagues in the
film industry
, Muzaffar Ali was not cagey. He was direct and unequivocal: 'She is and she was in love with him. He should have definitely given her an identity. Amitabh should have married Rekha.'"

'Silsila' director Yash Chopra had also spoken about casting this trio for his film and mentioned, "I was always on tenterhooks and scared because it was real life coming into reel life. Jaya is his wife and Rekha is his girlfriend; the same story is going on. Anything could have happened because they are working together."
Bachchan and Rekha never shared screen space post 'Silsila'.

'Blake Monroe has caught my eye': WWE legend Bubba Ray Dudley praises Blake Monroe following NXT arrival

(Image) WWE 's Bubba Ray Dudley, one-half of the legendary Dudley Boyz tag team, recently spoke to Fox News Digital about the bold arrival of Blake Monroe in WWE's NXT brand and made a prediction that could shake up the women's division. Blake Monroe, who made her WWE debut earlier this month for the NXT brand as the company continued its tear of free-agent signings, shook up the pro wrestling landscape. Monroe, who was formerly known as Mariah May, made a name for herself in Stardom and was a women's champion at All Elite Wrestling and ended her time there after an epic feud with Toni Storm. Now, she has her sights on NXT women's champion Jacy Jayne and the rest of the Fatal Influence faction, hoping to add another feather in her cap very soon. Bubba Ray Dudley makes bold predictions Pro wrestling legend Bubba Ray Dudley told Fox News Digital in a recent interview that Blake Monroe has maximized her potential in her previous role and that coming to WWE was the right move. During his interview, Bubba Ray Dudley said, "Blake Monroe has caught my eye, caught my attention over the last couple of years, for the body of work she was involved with in another company.' He further added, "She did a phenomenal job and maxed out her potential there. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like What She Did Mid-Air Left Passengers Speechless medalmerit Learn More Undo I don't think Blake Monroe could have gotten better at where she was. I don't think there was enough talent that was better than her for her to work up to.' FULL SEGMENT: Fatal Influence smash Blake Monroe through a table: NXT, June 17, 2025 Praising Monroe Bubba Ray added, "I don't know if there were enough minds that could have worked with Blake Monroe to have her be the sports entertainer she could be. I didn't use the word pro wrestler, I used sports entertainer because when you look at Blake Monroe's body of work the last couple of years, it's more sports entertainer than pro wrestler to me, and at the end of the day it's World Wrestling Entertainment." "So, I think Blake Monroe coming into NXT was a very smart move on her behalf, working with all this new talent, I believe working with Shawn Michaels and working with all the talented creative people he has under him and the producers," he said. "Blake is truly going to shine in the system. And I think she will go on and be a big star in the WWE," he said about her. Cardi B sets the summer on fire with bold comeback single ‘Outside'

Cardi B is officially back, and she's not easing into the spotlight. With her new single 'Outside,' released on June 20, 2025, the rapper delivers a blazing anthem that blends summer heat with lyrical fire, marking her first solo drop of the year. Cardi's post for the track To tease the new track, Cardi wrote on her social media page, 'We OUTSIDE this Friday!!' She also shared the song's photo art, which features the remains of a summer block party in New York City, including an overflowing fire hydrant and red Solo cups, dominoes, and blunt wrappers spread across the ground. The track production The track is produced by 'Charlie Heat,' 'HeyMicki,' and DJ 'SwanQo,' and it turned into a bold re-entry into the rap scene after a really quiet 2024. From the opening beat, 'Outside' pulses with Cardi's signature bravado. The chorus '(I'm goin' out) On the pop out (Side) 'Cause it's hot out / (I'm goin' out) You was playin' gamеs, (Side) Now you on time-out,'—sets the tone for a song that's equal parts party starter and personal statement. Cardy aims at her ex Lyrically, Cardi doesn't hold back. She takes aim at her ex-partners and double standards with lines like, 'When I tell you these ns ain't st, please believe me / They gon' f** on anything, these n***s way too easy.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like What She Did Mid-Air Left Passengers Speechless medalmerit Learn More Undo The verses are raw, unapologetic, and covered with the kind of punchy one-liners that have made her a cultural force. The single's cover art is a visual love letter to New York City summers, red cups, random food, and the glamour of a party in full swing. It's nostalgic, aggressive, and undoubtedly Cardi. 'Outside' also arrives with a wave of expectation for her long-awaited sophomore album about the sophomores, the follow-up to 2018's 'Invasion of Privacy.' While Cardi has hinted that delays are due to pending collaborations, this solo release proves she doesn't need anyone else to make a statement. The live show Fans got a sneak peek of the track earlier this week when Cardi performed it live at an experience hosted by the most used song application during the Cannes Lions festival in France. The performance, paired with her social media teaser—'We OUTSIDE this Friday'—sent her fandom into a pure madness. With 'Outside,' Cardi B isn't just dropping a song—she's reclaiming her throne. It's a reminder that when she steps out, she does it loud, proud, and on her own terms.
