Huawei will soon become one of the several brands to release a very powerful phone
Although the flagship market is oversaturated with devices that more often than not offer the same hardware configuration every year, there's still room for brands that really want to stand out to introduce innovative products.When it comes to hardware, there are two ways a company can make its flagship product stand out. Either it uses hardware that's more powerful than almost every other flagship available on the market, or it uses advanced technology that offers its product the upper hand in the battle for supremacy.Huawei is already one of the biggest phone makers in the world. However, just like many other brands just as big, it doesn't have a phone that packs at least 20GB RAM.
According to a new tip coming from reliable leaker Digital Chat Station , Huawei will soon join the very short list of companies that have already released a phone with 20GB+ RAM.
Currently, there are seven companies that have experience in launching such powerful phones: Asus, Honor, Infinix, Nubia, OnePlus, Realme, and Xiaomi. None of the 'big' names like Apple, Motorola, Samsung or any other of the 'established' brands are on the list, so the fact that Huawei indeed plans to release a 20GB+ RAM phone seems important.

That new smartphone will feature a new flagship chip with improved energy efficiency, as well as 20GB+ RAM.
Huawei's new flagship with 20GB+ RAM might be part of the Mate 80 series, which is expected to arrive later this fall, but this is just a guess based on previous history.

Honor reveals Magic V5 foldable phone's thickness, and it barely beats the Galaxy Z Fold 7
Honor is skipping the Magic V4, and is instead jumping straight to the Magic V5 foldable. The company has now exclusively revealed the phone's thickness to Apple insider Mark Gurman for his newsletter Power is looking to usurp the Oppo Find N5 — which measures at 8.9 mm when folded — as the world's slimmest foldable. The company has revealed that the Magic V5 will be 8.8 mm when folded, making it the slimmest closed foldable to date. Despite this, the Honor Magic V5 will also apparently come with a 6,100 mAh battery. That, to me, makes it the obvious choice for those who value both slimness and battery life. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to ship with the same 4,400 mAh battery as the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to measure at 8.9 mm when folded, so the Honor Magic V5 will beat it by just 0.1 mm. Honor is also launching the Magic V5 next month, around the same time Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 . We may even get to finally see a budget foldable by Samsung, as it's very likely that next month will also see the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. While it can be argued that the battery capacity on the Fold 7 is laughable, I do think that Samsung has finally caught up in the foldable market. The Fold 7 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is the same powerful processor that is found across the entire Samsung Galaxy S25 series. Samsung has also made the crease less noticeable, and will likely provide seven years of software support. For those users who swear by One UI and care about long-term support, the Fold 7 is a no-brainer. Huawei has not detailed plans for a global rollout of the new Pura 80 series, but given that the Pura 70 models are available in places like Europe, Indonesia and others, it's hard to imagine that the new generation will be available only in China. So, assuming the Pura 80 phones are available near you soon, would you buy one – and which one? Huawei Pura 80 • Huawei Pura 80 Pro • Huawei Pura 80 Pro+ • Huawei Pura 80 Ultra Starting with the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra, that has a crazy complicated camera system that moves the same 50MP 1/1.28' sensor between two lenses – 3.7x/83mm and 9.4x/212mm. The phone also has a 1'-type 50MP main sensor and a 40MP ultra-wide camera. The 6.8' LTPO display is backed by a 5,700mAh battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. The Huawei Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Pro+ mainly differ in areas like memory and satellite connectivity. Both keep the 1'-type main camera from the Ultra, but settle for a single telephoto camera – a 48MP 4x/93mm module. The ultra-wide is still 40MP. The display and battery are the same as the Ultra too. The vanilla Huawei Pura 80 has a smaller 6.6' display, still an LTPO OLED, and a 5,600mAh battery with 66W wired and 50W wireless charging. The camera system is more basic, but still quite capable with a 50MP 1/1.3' main, 12MP 5x/125mm tele and 13MP ultra-wide. Note that the Pura 80 launch is still pending. Huawei is keeping chipset details under wraps, but we think it's the same chipset as on the Mate X6, at least at the top of the Pura 80 range. And these phones don't run Android but HarmonyOS. The global variants should get EMUI instead, though.
