Mbappe skips training again, set to miss Pachuca game

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Florida - Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe skipped Saturday's collective training session and was set to miss the 15-times European champions' Group H game against Pachuca at the Club World Cup as he recovered from illness, the club said.
Mbappe, who was admitted to a Miami area hospital earlier this week with acute gastroenteritis, had stayed at the team hotel and would not be travelling to Charlotte, North Carolina, for Sunday's match, a Real spokesperson said.
Mbappe was ruled out of Real's opening game against Al-Hilal, which ended in a 1-1 draw and left RB Salzburg top of the table with three points after they beat Mexican side Pachuca 2-1.
Mbappe had been isolated from his team mates since Tuesday before being taken to hospital on Wednesday, and was discharged on Thursday.
A club source said earlier this week that Mbappe was not expected to take part in any group game at the Club World Cup. REUTERS

Resuming on 359-3, India captain Shubman Gill quickly moved past his highest test score. He was supported by the flamboyant Rishabh Pant as India took control in the morning session. Pant was sweeping and scooping to his heart's content, often ending up on his knees, fittingly moving to his seventh test ton with another six into the crowd, celebrated with a forward somersault. Gill fell for 147 chasing another maximum, while Pant's thrilling innings came to a halt when he was trapped lbw by Josh Tongue for 134. The wicket-keeper's dismissal sparked an Indian collapse as the visitors lost their last five wickets for just 18 runs. Bumrah then did his best to swing the test back in India's favour. After Crawley was caught in the slips, Duckett was dropped on 15 and survived a DRS review, both off the bowling of the Indian talisman. Another fine sweep shot took Duckett to his 14th test half century just before tea, before Bumrah got his reward for keeping England under pressure. Root was given out lbw on seven, a decision that was overturned following a DRS review, while Pope was dropped by opening day centurion Yashasvi Jaiswal when on 60. The joy from Pope's ninth test century was short-lived as Bumrah continued to cause problems. Root edged another ferocious bolt through to the slips, before Brook's fortunate reprieve after his poor shot looped into the air. Toulouse, despite missing injured talisman Antoine Dupont and fellow French international Peato Mauvaka, were always ahead in the contest with two tries scored in the first half by Romain Ntamack and Paul Graou, while fullback Thomas Ramos put over six penalties and two conversions for a match-winning 22-point haul. Joris Segonds struck six penalties for Bayonne, while substitute Lucas Martin scored a consolation try with the final move of the match at the Groupama Stadium and Camille Lopez added the conversion. Ntamack finished off a sweeping move through the middle of the field for the first try in the 12th minute, with lock Thibaud Flament breaking through before popping the ball to wing Juan Cruz Mallia, whose blind behind-his-back pass put the flyhalf over.
