Zeekr appoints Carro as authorised dealer in M'sia
Zeekr, a global leader in premium electric vehicles, has appointed Carro as its latest authorised dealer in Malaysia. The strategic partnership was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding signed at Carro's flagship store in Puchong.
This collaboration signals Zeekr's deepening commitment to Malaysia's fast-growing EV market. The two companies plan to open four new Zeekr showrooms and three Carro Care workshops to strengthen retail access and aftersales support.
Stronger Sales and Support Ecosystem
Carro, Southeast Asia's leading online automotive marketplace, will provide a full suite of services to Zeekr customers—including financing via Genie Financial Services, insurance through Coverro, and aftersales support via Carro Care.
This marks Carro's second market expansion into brand-new vehicle sales, following its move into Singapore earlier this year.

New Showrooms and Models Available Now
Zeekr currently operates three 'Zeekr Space' showrooms in Petaling Jaya and IOI Mall Puchong, with new locations set to launch in Juru Autocity, Klang Valley, and Seremban.

BUTTERWORTH: The Public Service Commission of Malaysia (PSC) expects continued strong interest among Malaysians, including youths, to join the civil service this year, with applications projected to reach up to 1.3 million. The programme aims to raise awareness and provide exposure to PSC services, to help individuals chart a career path in the public service. Ahmad Jailani said the Kembara Kerjaya programme has been held in Sabah, Sarawak, Terengganu and Penang during the first half of this year, attracting more than 10,000 visitors. Besides physical events, the programme is also conducted virtually and has drawn significant traffic to the PSC website. He said the next edition will be in Kelantan next month, followed by Putrajaya, Melaka, Perak, Johor and Kuala Lumpur, to provide the public with a platform for direct and interactive engagement with PSC personnel. "Visitors will also receive guidance on application procedures, status updates and recruitment consultations through SPA briefing sessions during the programme," he said. Malaysia exploring new palm oil markets amidst geopolitical conflicts
KOTA BARU: The government is exploring new markets for Malaysia's palm oil in an effort to reduce the nation's reliance on major exporting markets affected by geopolitical conflicts. Plantation and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani said the ongoing Israel-Iran crisis and the Russia-Ukraine conflict have disrupted export shipments to certain zones. "Malaysia currently exports goods worth RM186 billion annually to global markets, including palm oil, but part of these markets are now considered high-risk due to armed conflicts. "As such, we are exploring new markets, namely, countries that have yet to purchase Malaysian palm oil or cooking oil. "This is crucial to ensure that our export levels remain stable," he said, adding that the country is currently trading with nearly 80 nations, with plans to expand its reach even further. Speaking to reporters after attending the 'Dialogue with KPK' programme at the Mara Poly-Tech College, Kota Baru here today, the minister also urged plantation operators and smallholders to work closely with the government to ensure the resilience of the national commodities sector on the global stage. He said planters and operators must work with the government to address challenges at the international level. "The European market is increasingly emphasising environmental sustainability and biodiversity-friendly practices in palm oil procurement. "To enter their markets, we must prove that our plantations meet their standards, comply with sustainability principles and preserve biodiversity," he said. Johari said that providing good service and meeting buyer requirements should be a priority to help turn new buyers into long-term customers. "We are asking them to buy more from us, but the service we provide is just as important," he said. — Bernama
