'We may have lost our home, but not our hope. We're moving forward with love, humour, and a little elbow grease … and we're incredibly grateful for every ounce of support,' Joss said in a May 14 Facebook post in which he indicated he was in Los Angeles looking for a new home.
By the end of May, Joss was back in Texas, and on Saturday, he took part in a live music performance in Austin, about 130 kilometres north-east of San Antonio.
Who is accused of fatally shooting Joss?
Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez, 56, is accused by police of confronting Joss and his husband as they were checking their mail at the burnt-down home on Sunday night.
In a statement, Gonzales alleged that when Alvarez opened fire, Joss pushed his husband out of the way and saved his life.
Alvarez was charged with murder. Court records indicate he was freed on Monday on a $200,000 ($309,000) bond.
Robert Rios, a friend of Joss', told TV station KSAT that Joss and Alvarez were neighbours and the two had argued for years.
How is Joss being remembered by friends, actors?
Actor Chris Pratt, who worked with Joss on Parks and Recreation, fondly remembered the actor in an Instagram story. Both actors had also appeared in the 2016 remake of The Magnificent Seven.

Amy Poehler admits to starring in 'inappropriate' sketches
Amy Poehler has appeared in some "inappropriate" sketches on Saturday Night Live. The 53-year-old actress starred on the hit comedy show between 2001 and 2008 - but Amy now acknowledges that some of her sketches haven't aged well. During an appearance on the Good Hang podcast, Will Forte - Amy's former co-star - explained: "There are so many things I look back now and I go — you think, 'Oh, it's all about getting a laugh.'" Amy then said: "Agree. The part about getting older and being in comedy, is you have to figure out everything has an expiration date." The actress subsequently acknowledged that she made lots of mistakes during her time on Saturday Night Live. ‘Forever 17:' Funeral for teen Pheobe Bishop
A funeral service for Bundaberg teenager Pheobe Bishop will be held 16 days after her remains were found in bushland following her disappearance. The 17-year-old was last seen on May 15, on her way to Bundaberg Airport to board a flight to visit her boyfriend in Western Australia. She was reported missing the following day. The pair were arrested on June 5 following a failed search to find the missing teen. They were charged with murder and two counts of interfering with a corpse. 'We want her legacy to live on and by paying it forward to the amazing volunteers and community.' Her mother Kylie Johnson said at the vigil she never expected a situation like that would happen to her. 'Now, unfortunately, we know that she is not going to come home to us,' she said. 'I have no words that could ever, ever describe what the last three-and-a-half weeks … it's just weighed us down.' 'Phee was more than glorious, she was compassionate, she was caring, she was resilient, she was relentless at times.'
