Warburg Pincus in talks to sell stake in India's SBI General Insurance, Bloomberg News reports

(Reuters) -U.S.-based private equity firm Warburg Pincus is in talks to sell its stake in State Bank of India's general insurance unit, Bloomberg News reported on Monday, citing people familiar with the matter. Warburg Pincus is negotiating with Premji Invest, the investment unit of Indian billionaire Azim Premji, and SBI, the country's largest lender, to divest its 10% stake in SBI General Insurance, the report said. The transaction could value SBI General Insurance at as much as $4.5 billion, Bloomberg News reported. Reuters could not independently verify the report. Premji Invest and SBI did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for comment, while Warburg declined to comment. Premji Invest and a Warburg Pincus affiliate bought stakes of 16.01% and approximately 10%, respectively, in SBI General in 2019, in a deal worth $432.38 million. SBI currently owns about 70% of SBI General Insurance. REVEALED - Plans for Domino's takeaway in Somerset

Domino's Pizza is looking to open a takeaway on the outskirts of Wellington - near to a McDonald's restaurant, writes Phil Hill. If the proposal goes ahead, the pizza outlet would also be in competition with nearby food and drink suppliers KFC, Costa and Subway. Domino's has applied to Somerset Council for planning permission for a pod on seven 'under-utilised' parking spaces at Westpark 26 business park, Chelston. Greggs last year won permission for a 'food to go' pod on the intended site at Wellington Service Station, but no longer wishes to operate there, according to the Domino's planning application. Eight electric vehicle charging points and three jet wash bays already on the site would not be impacted by the proposed development. Domino's Pizza's plans are for a grey 'container-type unit' of approximately 14 metres by 4.8 metres, featuring a customer waiting area for collections, a kitchen, cold and ambient storage and staff welfare facilities. An air conditioning and a cold room condenser, along with three bins will be contained to the rear of the premises, while five car parking spaces will be created. Referring to potential customers, the planning application says: 'Domino's has an extensive menu which includes lighter meals and lunchtime offerings that would be ideal for those visiting the charging hub, as well as their pizzas which will be available for collection when ordered in advance or for delivery to the local area. 'Furthermore, the site is within an extensive mixed-use business park, with excellent links to local employment uses and local residential areas whereby it will provide a service to the local area. 'The proposed development is located in a mixed-use area with a wide range of commercial and business uses including retail and restaurant uses such as the McDonald's drive thru' to the north and Costa, Subway and KFC in the surrounding area. "As such, there is already a range of town centre uses in the immediate vicinity. Despite this, in planning policy terms, the site is in an out-of-centre location.' It adds that the oven baking operation will be 'low-odour in nature', with no grilling or frying, but 'extract gases' will be discharged one metre above the single-storey pod. The application adds: 'The proposal will provide an additional service to the local area and will provide a number of employment opportunities (both full-time and part-time) for local people.'
