Dave Allen delivers knockout of the year with sickening finish
Dave Allen scored a knockout of the year contender to brutally finish his Johnny Fisher rivalry.
The 33-year-old Doncaster man was on the wrong end of a controversial decision against the Romford ticket seller, 26, in December in Saudi Arabia, The Sun reports.
But he snatched his career out of the hands of the judges at Stratford's Copper Box by smashing Fisher in the fifth round with a brilliant left hook, leaving his opponent needing oxygen.
Allen started the fight like a bull out of a gate as he came out slinging monster right hands in the direction of Fisher.
After a back and forth war through the opening four rounds, Allen delivered in the fifth when he delivered a monstrous shot that turned Fisher's lights out.

Allen looped in a peach of a right in the last minute of the fifth and battered the Essex man until he folded to the floor.
Fisher climbed to his unsteady feet and was about to be saved by the bell before Allen smashed him again.
Fisher then face planted and trainer Mark Tibbs' towel flew in.
Boxing journalist Dan Rafael wrote on X: 'WOW! Fisher takes a massive shot as rd 5 was ending, corner throws in the towel and Allen has the big TKO upset! That last shot and Fisher was out on his feet. Fisher had to have been well ahead at the time of the stoppage.'
Overjoyed Allen - who had Fisher's 7,000 local fans cheering him at the end - said: 'I put a bit of weight on to take the body shots, it was a risk but I got it done.
'I will have an ensuite bathroom for my kids now.
'I have been written off so many times but I am a handful at this level.
'I knew I would get the job done, I warned him not to box me from the start. But I am the fattest hard man - or the hardest fat man - you will ever see.
'Johnny Fisher is a very good friend of mine and I meant it all the way through.
'I will not let the trilogy happen because I like Johnny and it wouldn't be good for him.
'I like to box at my level, I will be a bit smarter now and maybe pick up a British title one day.'

India plunders runs against England after Ben Stoke sends them in to bat in first Test
England has been left to rue sending India in to bat at Headingley in the first Test of their five-game series, with the tourists dominating day one with the bat to finish 3-359. The retirement of icons Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in less than a year piled the pressure on the next generation to step up, and new skipper Shubman Gill (127*) and opener Yashasvi Jaiswal (101) immediately looked ready to fill the void. The additional absence of Ravichandran Ashwin and his 537 Test wickets left India facing a daunting task during the tour of England. With England missing several frontline bowlers through injury for the series opener in Leeds, India was keen to make an early mark. Jaiswal and Gill proved there was still plenty of depth left in the Indian batting line-up as the visitors piled on the runs to reach stumps on top after Ben Stokes won the toss and chose to field. Former England captain Michael Vaughan said he was "staggered" by the decision to send India in on a dry pitch in sunny conditions, despite England's penchant for audacious run chases under Stokes and coach Brendon McCullum. "Just because you've won a year ago, two years ago or three years ago, it can't really affect what the decision is today. And they've allowed India with a youngish batting line-up and a new captain to just go and play," Vaughan said in commentary for the BBC. The next 10 Tests could define how the "Bazball" combination of Stokes and McCullum are viewed, after plenty of highs and lows over the past few years, with the Ashes series in Australia following India's visit. Each of the previous six Test matches have been won by the side bowling first, including Australia's losses in the 2019 and 2023 Ashes, but only once in that stretch (New Zealand in 2022) did the opening innings exceed 300 runs. Opener Jaiswal was not overawed by any stretch, as he became the first Indian batter to score centuries in his first match in both Australia and England with a flawless display of off-side batting. Three of the 23-year-old's five centuries have come against England, having amassed a colossal 813 runs in 10 Tests when facing McCullum's side. While Jaiswal dealt with the heat on a scorching Leeds day, Gill could not have been under more scrutiny. Without a Test century outside Asia, Gill came to the crease in Kohli's number four position in the order, with quick wickets before lunch swinging the momentum in England's favour. After back-to-back fours in the 32nd over settled his early nerves, Gill sprayed boundaries to all corners, bringing up his hundred with a glorious drive through the covers. All-rounder Stokes, for his part, was the best of England's bowlers as he took 2-43 from 13 overs. It is the 34-year-old's second Test this year after tearing his hamstring while playing against New Zealand in December. Reuters/ABC

Premier League champions Liverpool have completed the £100million club-record signing of Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen. The deal for the 22-year-old Germany international could potentially become a British record as there are £16m of add-ons included, which would surpass the existing mark of £115m which Chelsea paid for Moises Caicedo in 2023. It is understood Liverpool will be happy to pay these 'aspirational bonuses' as it will mean they have enjoyed considerable success at elite level.

Emma Raducanu stalker's scary Wimbledon act before security stepped in
British tennis star Emma Raducanu's stalker horror has continued after the same man was caught trying to apply for Wimbledon tickets. The All England Lawn Tennis Club's security system had red flagged the man's name after the tennis star reported him to her team. It comes after the horror incident that saw Raducanu, who 'couldn't see the ball through tears', hide in fear from her stalker at the Dubai Tennis Championship in February. An All England Club source told The Sun that the man who followed Raducanu to four countries had applied for the ballot last year before the Dubai stalking incident. Watch footage of the Dubai incident below After the incident the club removed his name from the ballot for the tournament starting June 30. He reportedly didn't try to apply for a ticket once he was given a restraining order. Raducanu suffered an apparent panic attack in Dubai earlier in the year after spotting a man in the crowd during her second-round match with Karolina Muchova. The same man had previously followed her to separate tournaments across the globe in Singapore, Abu Dhabi and Doha. British star Raducanu hid herself behind the umpire's chair after spotting the individual in the crowd displaying 'fixated behaviour'. Raducanu's reaction sparked concern among spectators, before the man was removed from the crowd and taken from the stands to be detained by local police. It was revealed he had also given Raducanu a letter and asked for a photo in a coffee shop at the player hotel the day before, which reportedly left her unnerved. The US Open champion reported the man to her team but the information was not passed on to the Women's Tennis Association until the following day. The Dubai Tournament was also not notified of the individual's presence or Raducanu's concerns until the following day. He was handed a restraining order from the Dubai police and his name was circulated among tennis authorities. 'I saw him in the first game of the match and I was like, 'I don't know how I'm going to finish',' Raducanu told reporters at the time. 'I literally couldn't see the ball through tears. I could barely breathe. 'I was like, 'I need to just take a breather'.' Wimbledon security is routinely reviewed with roughly 1,000 people working in security at the Championships. As well as the screening around the ballot, which caught Raducanu's stalker out, there are checks and balances employed to screen those in the queue. Anyone who gains entry to the championship has to be registered with Wimbledon and hand over personal information. Raducanu's stalker was never named publicly by the authorities following the incident in Dubai. The tennis star's horror experience has shone a spotlight on the issues faced by female tennis players. The grand slam winner has had a hellish stalking experience before, revealing in 2022 that she was 'constantly looking over her shoulder' after stalker Amrit Magar, 35, walked 37 kilometres to her home in South East London. Magar had a five-year restraining order put in place after stealing her dad's shoe and leaving gifts and notes for the young tennis star.
