Cardi B Was Left Seriously Upset After Her 6-Year-Old Daughter Drew On Her $60,000 Hermès Birkin Bag, And People Are Divided Over The Whole Thing
Cardi B is definitely no stranger to an extravagant bag or two.
The rapper has long been open about her lavish lifestyle, reminding everyone last year that she spends an estimated $3 million per month.
However, Cardi is also financially responsible for many people in her life. Last year, she revealed that she pays six people's rent, and she also makes a point to spoil her three kids, all of whom she shares with her ex-husband, Offset: Kulture Kiari Cephus, 6, Wave Set Cephus, 3, and a baby girl born in September 2024.
If you don't remember, Cardi came under fire on Kulture's second birthday after Offset gifted their daughter a pink Hermès Birkin bag that retails for around $8000. Folks online criticized the couple for the amount of money spent on a 2-year-old, to which Cardi responded, 'If I'm fly and daddy's fly, then so is the kid.'
Well, while Kulture may not have been super interested in a Birkin at 2 years old, she's definitely made her mark on one now. On Sunday, Cardi took to Instagram to show off a dessert that she and Kulture had made together, and it was super cute. But immediately after, Cardi uploaded a video showing Kulture's latest work, and it's safe to say from the tone of her voice, she was trying not to completely crash out.
In a now-expired Instagram story, Cardi showed off a yellow crocodile-skin Birkin. 'I literally spent 60,000 [dollars] on this purse. Look what my daughter did to my purse. Look what my daughter did to my purse,' she repeated in disbelief. As she zoomed in, a tiny heart drawn in ballpoint pen became visible.
'Look what my daughter did to my fucking purse. Look—' she said, cutting herself off with a suppressed sigh. And if you have kids, you probably know exactly what that 'Mmm' means: the sweet sound of swallowing your anger so you don't go ballistic on a first grader.
Fans online had lots to say, with many suggesting that Kulture's addition to the bag just made it all the more valuable. 'am I the only one that thinks it's lowkey so cute 😭 like now it's worth even more because her daughter drew a little heart on it and she'll always be w her when she goes out with this purse, 🥺🥺🥺' one person wrote.
Others pointed out that a little heart scribble was probably exactly what Jane Birkin would have wanted. 'That's kind of the point of the Birkin,' another added. However, a lot of users criticized Cardi for spending $60,000 on a bag in the first place. 'Proves just how ridiculous it is to spend 60k on a purse,' one said, before another chimed in, 'Every time I see a birkin I get mad, why would that be 60k and why would you be okay with that price?'

Before traveling to Hawaii for the first time, I spent hours browsing through Instagram and TikTok foodie posts. Gathering ideas for all the delicious meals I'd eat, I had high expectations for the food in Poipu Beach, located on the south shore of Kauai. As it turns out, this island's food scene impressed me even more than expected. From nicer, more sophisticated spots like Red Salt Restaurant to quick bar bites at Kalapaki Joe's, check out these best Kauai food and drink spots on your next visit. These must-visit restaurants in Kauai won't let you down. I love Indian food and will make a point to grab it during any trip. This tucked-away restaurant, "That Indian Place", has excellent food and will adjust to your spice preferences. I ordered the butter chicken (mild) and the chicken sagwala (mild), along with some garlic naan bread. The local atmosphere and outdoor dining patio really made this place stand out as one of my favorite spots to eat throughout the whole trip. Top menu items Mango LassiButter ChickenChicken Tikka MasalaChicken SagwalaPaneer Tikka Stop by Brennecke's Beach Broiler as you stroll along Poipu Beach for a lively, vibrant atmosphere. Morgan Wallen marked the opening night of his "I'm The Problem" Tour with a fiery performance at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, including what seemed to be his reaction to recent news headlines. According to multiple videos from fans in attendance at the June 20 concert, Wallen displayed a montage of negative headlines − including one that read "Morgan Wallen breaks COVID mask protocols" − during his performance of "I'm the Problem."
