The
Rail Land Development Authority
(RLDA) had accepted Bagmane's bid to lease the land in 2023, but the deal was delayed due to the need to relocate trees from the site. The company has now identified a land parcel in Delhi for the relocation, the sources said.
The acquired land can be used for both residential (55%) and commercial (45%).
A new railway passenger terminal coming up adjacent to the site is expected to generate significant footfall in the area.
The Delhi-NCR market has traditionally been driven by sustained investor interest across both traditional and emerging real estate segments. Amid all-time high residential demand, several large and listed developers and other entities continued to snap up land. Other than residential, commercial, retail, industrial and logistics and warehousing are also driving prime land deals in key locations across India.
Anshuman Magazine, chairman and CEO, India, Southeast Asia, Middle East, and Africa at real estate services firm CBRE, said the deal underscored deepening investor confidence in the sector. "We anticipate this momentum to strengthen through 2025, reinforcing India's position as one of the most resilient and opportunistic realty markets globally," he said.
Bagmane Group, a leading developer of
commercial real estate
with strong focus on technology parks and built-to-suit campuses, currently manages over 18 million sq ft of operational assets, with an additional 10-15 million square feet in various stages of planning and development.
With a growing presence in key cities including Bengaluru, Chennai, and Delhi-NCR, Bagmane is steadily building a diversified portfolio to position itself for a potential
Real Estate Investment Trust
(REIT) listing.
In March, Bagmane acquired
Cognizant Technology Solutions
' former India headquarters in Chennai for about '612 crore.

Ivory Coast Sees Oil Output Increasing More Than Fivefold by 2035

(Bloomberg) -- Ivory Coast expects its oil output to increase more than fivefold in the next decade, boosted by recent discoveries and the start of production at two offshore fields. 'By 2035, crude-oil production is expected to reach at least 500,000 barrels per day, placing our country among the top five oil-producing countries on the continent,' Minister of Petroleum, Energy and Mines Mamadou Sangafowa-Coulibaly said. 'Natural gas will account for 1 million cubic feet per day.' The world's leading cocoa producer aims to position itself as a major regional oil-and gas-player and energy hub, the minister said at the inauguration of a new wharf owned by state petroleum company Petroci, in Abidjan, the commercial capital. Increased production will straddle a period of surging oil prices after Israel launched a surprise attack on Iran, which retaliated with waves of ballistic missiles and drones, raising fears of a wider regional conflict and disruptions to flows of the fuel. Eni SpA has made significant offshore hydrocarbon discoveries at Baleine and Calao. Ivory Coast is in talks with Eni over a new oil-exploration block after the Italian major in December started a second phase at Baleine aimed at increasing output to 60,000 barrels a day. A third phase will more than double production to 150,000 barrels a day. Houston-based Vaalco Energy Inc. and Brazil's Petrobas are in talks with Petroci to invest in as many as 10 offshore oil blocks. The nation expects more than $16 billion of investments in its oil sector by 2030, including infrastructure such as pipelines, tankers and railways, Sangafowa-Coulibaly said. Washington-based Yaatra Ventures recently reached an agreement with state-owned Société Ivoirienne de Raffinage to build the country's second petroleum refinery, with a potential investment of 3 trillion CFA francs ($5.3 billion). Dubai man slammed for offering unpaid project to top Indian B-school students

A Dubai-based professional's attempt to offer a 'live project' to MBA students was slammed online, and not without reason. Sahil Deshmukh, an Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow graduate and current Manager in the Global CEO's Office at Erba Mannheim, posted a call on LinkedIn inviting students from India's top business schools to work on a strategic project, without his post, Deshmukh specified he was looking for MBA students from institutes such as IIMs, FMS, SPJIMR, XLRI, and MDI for a remote project lasting 3–4 weeks. The catch? It comes with no stipend. 'Looking for MBA students from IIMs, FMS, SPJIMR, XLRI, MDI, or other top B-schools for a short-term live project,' he said. 'There's no pay, but it's a good opportunity to work closely with the leadership team on strategic initiatives,' Deshmukh wrote, adding that the role would suit someone seeking 'real-world exposure.'Take a look at the post here:In an update later, he said that the opportunity is closed as he has received 'more than enough response'. 'Closed. Have gotten more than enough responses. Will selectively reach out to relevant profiles/DMs. Thanks,' he said. advertisementThe response online was far from supportive. Professionals and students alike criticised the offer, calling it exploitative and tone-deaf, especially considering the rising cost of elite management education in India.'Let's put an end to the exploitation of unpaid internships. It's time we stop normalising this toxic work culture,' a user said, while another added, 'You want someone from a top B-school to work hard, add value, and walk away with nothing? That's not an opportunity, that's audacity.'One of the users said, 'Pay. It's not a difficult thing to do.'Several users pointed out that terms like 'contribute meaningfully' and 'work closely with leadership' often translate to full-time commitment, and without a stipend, it sends the wrong Deshmukh's offer may have been well-intentioned, but it soon turned into an example of what not to post in the name of Reel
