Henry Lau arrived at Changi Airport late last night (May 28) where eager fans were waiting with bouquets to welcome him to Singapore.
Videos of the Canadian singer-songwriter's arrival were shared on Xiaohongshu.
The 35-year-old is here in Singapore to attend the grand opening of Lacoste's first concept store in Southeast Asia at Ion Orchard at 4pm today.
Henry debuted as a member of the K-pop boy group Super Junior-M in 2008 before his departure in 2018. He is now based in South Korea and China. Rowoon to enlist on July 21
Korean actor Rowoon will enlist soon, beginning his mandatory military service on July 21, according to a report by MyDaily.
His management agency FNC Entertainment confirmed the news and said he will be an active-duty soldier in the army.
The 28-year-old will hold his Before Blooming fan-meet in Seoul on May 31.
In 2016, Rowoon debuted as part of boy group SF9 which he left in 2023. He began his acting career in 2017 in School 2017 and his Disney+ project The Murky Stream is set to premiere later this year. Cha Eun-woo to enlist on July 28
Earlier this month, actor-singer Cha Eun-woo was reported to have applied for the Republic of Korea Army band. Today, his management agency Fantagio confirmed that the 28-year-old has been accepted.
The statement said he will enter the training camp on July 28 to undergo basic military training before joining the Army Band.
"To prevent safety accidents due to crowding on the day of enlistment, we would like to inform you that Cha Eun-woo's enlistment location and time will be kept private and no separate events will be held." the agency added.
Last month, it was reported that Eun-woo, who's also a member of the K-pop boy band Astro, will be taking on his first leading role in a movie, titled First Ride. He is also expected to finish filming the Netflix series The Wonder Fools with Park Eun-bin this month.

BTS member Suga discharged from South Korean military service

K-pop group BTS member Suga finished his military tenure as a social service agent on June 21. PHOTO: AGUSTD/INSTAGRAM SEOUL - K-pop group BTS member Suga was discharged from the South Korean military on June 21 , the seventh and final member to complete the country's mandatory national service amid expectations of the band's comeback from a hiatus. Suga finished his military tenure as a social service agent on June 21 with little fanfare as fans looked forward to his reunion with the rest of the band, a K-pop sensation since it started up in 2013. 'We confirm that Suga effectively completed his alternative service on June 18 by using his remaining leave. His official discharge date is June 21,' BTS' label, Big Hit Music, said in a statement. Unlike with his BTS bandmates, there was no public event planned to mark Suga's release because of overcrowding concerns. The seven members of the group put their global music careers on hold in 2022 to begin their military service, starting with Jin in December that year. South Korea's mandatory national service can be for terms of up to 18 months. Shortly after his official discharge, Suga posted a message on fan community platform Weverse, saying he was 'sorry for the disappointment and concern caused by what happened last year', and also apologising to his bandmates. In 2024, Suga was fined 15 million won (S$14,037) by a court for drunk driving while on an electric scooter. The group is expected to hold its largest-ever world tour in 2026, an NH Securities entertainment analyst said in a report. Entertainment group HYBE, which manages BTS, is closely monitored by securities companies. Details of a reunion have not been released. NewJeans' Danielle attends Omega event in Japan with Ador staff

SEOUL – K-pop girl group NewJeans' Danielle was spotted at an event in Japan accompanied by staff from her agency Ador, a first since the girl group took legal action against the company. The 20-year-old Korean-Australian singer was in Kyoto, Japan, on June 18 to attend Swiss luxury watchmaker Omega's product launch for its new Aqua Terra 30mm collection. Also at the event were celebrities such as American model Ashley Graham, Nigerian singer Tems, American singer-actress Ariana DeBose and British actress Marisa Abela. Danielle, whose full name is Danielle Marsh, appeared at the event as a global ambassador of the brand, which she has endorsed since 2024. According to officials quoted by South Korean news outlet Sports Chosun, the event was part of Danielle's endorsement commitments, which had been planned way in advance by Ador. NewJeans also comprise Minji, 21; Hanni, 20; Haerin, 19; and Hyein, 17. The girl group have been in conflict with Ador since November 2024, when the members unilaterally declared they had terminated their contracts with the agency, citing a breach of trust. Since then, the group have attempted to operate independently under the name NJZ. The Seoul High Court on June 17 rejected an appeal filed by NewJeans , which challenged an injunction that barred them from independently signing advertising contracts or pursuing entertainment work without Ador's prior approval. The court's decision upheld a previous ruling in favour of Ador, a label under K-pop conglomerate Hybe, reinforcing its claim that the girl group's exclusive contracts remain valid. July marks three years since NewJeans' debut. THE KOREA HERALD/ASIA NEWS NETWORK Join ST's Telegram channel and get the latest breaking news delivered to you.
