Fire breaks out at revenue building in ITO Office, quickly brought under control

New Delhi [India], June 6 (ANI): Fire broke out at the Revenue building, ITO office in Room no 238. The fire department received a call at 9.57 am, and it was doused in 10 minutes. Fire was in a room.
DFS has sent 6 fire tenders. Fire is under control. More information is awaited.
Earlier on June 2, a massive fire broke out in two buses on Pankha Road in the Janakpuri area of Delhi on Thursday, said the Delhi fire service officials.
In a separate incident, on Monday, a fire broke out in four to five jhuggis following a cylinder blast in the Wazirpur Industrial area.According to the Delhi Fire Services, 'The fire broke out in 4-5 jhuggis due to a cylinder blast in Wazirpur Industrial area. One woman was injured and was admitted to a hospital.'
The Fire Services said that two fire tenders reached the spot and the blaze was controlled.
In a separate incident, on May 31, a massive fire was reported at the Sunday Bazar in Budh Vihar Phase 2 of New Delhi, according to officials, and two to four fire tenders rushed to the incident spot.
The fire was in 10 to 12 huts, which the fire officials completely doused. The reason behind the accident is yet to be revealed. No casualties have been reported.
Earlier, two people lost their lives and four others were injured in a fire at an E-Rikshaw charging station at Moti Ram Road, in the national capital's Shahdara area. (ANI)

In a post on X on Sunday, the PIB Fact Check unit labelled the assertion as 'FAKE' and clarified, 'Indian Airspace was NOT used by the United States during Operation Midnight Hammer.' The misinformation alleged that US forces utilised Indian airspace to conduct military strikes on Iran's nuclear infrastructure. The fact-checking body cited a press briefing by the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine, who detailed the alternative routes taken by US aircraft, dismissing the claims as baseless. 'Several social media accounts have claimed that Indian Airspace was used by the United States to launch aircrafts against Iran during Operation Midnight Hammer. This claim is FAKE. Indian Airspace was NOT used by the United States during Operation Midnight Hammer. During the Press Briefing Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair Gen. Dan Caine explained the route used by US aircraft,' the Fact Check unit stated in its post on X. Earlier on Sunday, after the strikes on nuclear facilities in Iran, the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine, said Operation Midnight Hammer was designed to 'severely degrade Iran's nuclear weapons infrastructure'. While holding a press briefing at the Pentagon, General Caine presented a detailed map and timeline of the operation, which showed that none of the US aircraft entered the Indian airspace. Detailing the operation, General Caine stated, 'At approximately 6:40 PM EST, 2:10 am Iran time, the lead B-2 two dropped GBU 57 MOP (Massive Ordnance Penetrator) weapons on the first of several aim points at Fordow.' 'As the President stated last night, the remaining bombers then hit their targets as well, with a total of 14 MOPs dropped against two nuclear target areas. All three Iranian nuclear infrastructure targets were struck between 6:40 PM and 7:05 PM EST (2:10 AM local time Iran), with the Tomahawk missiles being the last to strike at Isfahan to ensure we retain the element of surprise throughout the operation,' he added. The US military employed 'several deception tactics', including decoys, to maintain tactical surprise, he said. 'As the Operation Midnight Hammer strike package entered Iranian airspace, the US employed several deception tactics, including decoys, as the 4th and 5th generation aircraft pushed out in front of the strike package at high altitude and high speed, sweeping in front of the package for enemy fighters and surface Air missile threats,' he added. Further, Caine stated that 'at midnight Friday and Saturday morning, a large B2 strike package comprised of bombers launched from the continental United States. As part of the plan to maintain tactical surprise, part of the package proceeded to the West and into the Pacific as a decoy, a deception effort known only to an extremely small number of planners and key leaders here in Washington and in Tampa.' 'The main strike package, comprised of seven B2 Spirit bombers, each with two crew members, proceeded quietly to the East with minimal communications,' he added. The operation was executed by US Central Command under the command of General Erik Kurilla. Earlier in the day, US President Donald Trump said the 'very successful' strikes had hit the Natanz, Fordow and Isfahan underground nuclear sites in Iran. Speaking from the White House, Trump announced that America carried out 'massive precision' strikes on Iran and warned Tehran of further retaliation if peace was not achieved. Iran condemned the attacks, calling them a violation of international law and vowed to continue its nuclear program. A statement issued by the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran (AEOI) confirmed that early on Sunday morning, Iran's nuclear sites were 'subjected to savage aggression--an act in violation of international laws, particularly the NPT.' NIA arrests one more accused in Maoists Northern Region Bureau terror revival conspiracy case
ANI 22 Jun 2025, 19:47 GMT+10 New Delhi [India], June 22 (ANI): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested another key accused in a CPI (Maoist) Northern Region Bureau (NRB) terror revival conspiracy case from Delhi, the probe agency said on Sunday. NIA also seized devices including hard drives, pen drives and mobile phones, as well as other incriminating material during a search in the West Delhi house of the accused, identified as Vishal Singh, originally hailing from Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. According to NIA, investigations have revealed that the accused, a member of the CPI (Maoist), had delivered a drone to leaders of the banned terror outfit in Chhakarbanda/Panchrukhiya forest area of Bihar to further its violent anti-national activities. He had imparted technical training to other cadres of CPI (Maoist) and had also attended meetings with its central committee members in the deep forest areas of Bihar in 2019. NIA in August 2024, had arrested another accused, Ajay Singhal alias Aman, in-charge of the State Organising Committee (SOC) Haryana and Punjab of CPI (Maoist). The case relates to the terror organisation's conspiracy to re-energise its decrepit influence in the Northern Regional Bureau (NRB) area, comprising UP, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. The conspiracy involves recruitment of cadres and strengthening of the organisation in the region through underground cadres working in urban areas, along with some Over Ground Workers (OGWs) operating in the guise of activists, the probe agency said. Several front organisations and student wings have been used to prepare the ground for promoting the conspiracy, aimed at waging war against the Government of India. They were receiving funds from the outfit's Eastern Regional Bureau (ERB), particularly from Jharkhand. Further investigation is underway. (ANI)

Delhi Police arrest absconding accused in attempt to murder, robbery case of Jind
New Delhi [India], June 22 (ANI): The Delhi Police's Special Cell has arrested an absconding accused individual wanted in a sensational extortion, robbery and attempt to murder case that occurred in Jind, Haryana. The accused, Naseeb, was caught with a firearm, a Beretta pistol with live cartridges, and a scooty used in committing the crime. Speaking to ANI, DCP Special Cell Amit Kaushik, said that the accused was apprehended near Khanda Chowk, Chander Vihar, near Vikas Puri, Delhi, on June 21. The team of Special Cell, South-Western Range, led by Inspector Sandeep Dabas acted on specific intelligence and laid a trap to catch the accused. The case was registered dated June 14, 2025, under relevant sections at Narwana City Police Station, in Jind, Haryana. The complainant was shot and robbed of Rs 2.5 lakh at his grocery store in Choupda Patti, Narwana. One Beretta pistol, three live cartridges, one scooty were used in the crime. Naseeb (32) is an illiterate resident of Sultanpuri, Delhi. He came into contact with criminal elements in search of quick money and was involved in an armed robbery in Narwana. 'The accused, Naseeb, is a resident of Sultanpuri, Delhi. On 13th June, four men entered a grocery store in Jind, held the owner at gunpoint, demanded Rs 50 lakh, and looted Rs 2.5 lakh,' said the DCP. 'Three of the accused were arrested by Haryana Police. We received information that the fourth accused was in Delhi. Naseeb was arrested yesterday evening. A pistol and the scooty used in the crime have been recovered from him,' he added. The accused has been arrested under relevant sections of law, and further interrogation and investigation are in progress. (ANI)
