"We wanted Kush to depict Lord Krishna as he was born on Janmashtami. It was a beautiful setting and Kush cooperated so well in the entire shoot. We also experimented with other themes and settings," said Malini Saha, his mother, a resident of Pashan. With more parents wanting to capture early birth memories in unique, artistic manners, professional newborn photography has become highly sought after. Most of these shoots happen when the baby is 15-25 days old, and the photographs are taken when the baby is in deep sleep. "The photographers told us that older babies are tougher to handle during shoots as they get cranky. So we decided to take baby Anya for the shoot when she was only 20 days old. The photographers were professionally trained, so safety was not an issue for us," said Aditi Sharma, a resident of Wanowrie.
