'Bhaiya Yaar': Hilarious Mix-Up Between Yashasvi Jaiswal-Shubman Gill Goes Viral

Last Updated: Yashasvi Jaiswal's funny reaction to Shubman Gill denying a single has the internet laughing. Star India batter Yashasvi Jaiswal's hilarious reaction after skipper Shubman Gill denied him a single after a long consultation has left the internet in splits, with the duo's chat regarding handling each other and taking safe singles between the wickets making the scenario even funnier. Jaiswal made a characterful century and Gill crafted a graceful half-century as India punished a lacklustre England to reach a formidable 215/2 at tea on the first day of the opening Test of the five-match series in Headingley. England might see this innings as an ominous sign from Jaiswal that he might just replicate that 712-run series against them in India in 2024. ' Bolte rehna bas. Call. Meri aadat hai aage jaane ki (Just keep saying. Call. I have a habit of going forward)," Jaiswal said while speaking to Gill across the crease. Watch the video here: ' Bhaag mat jaiyo bas (Just don't run)," Gill replied. ' Mereko zor se no boldo chalega, meri aadat hai lekin (Just loudly shout no, that would work for me, I just have a habit of walking out)," Jaiswal reiterated. Soon enough, off a delivery from Josh Tongue, the duo had a chance to run a single and Jaiswal started running, only to be refused by Gill. ' Aarey aajao yaar. Bhaiya yaar (Thoda aage thha ye, sorry (It was a bit ahead, apologies)," Gill replied. ' Bahut dur hai (It was far)," Jaiswal said. The southpaw was dismissed off deliveries outside off twice while playing for India A against the England Lions in the recent tour games, but in Headingley, Jaiswal didn't repeat the errors. Jaiswal was assisted by the England bowlers, who struggled to discover the right line and length on a placid pitch. Their profligacy meant that the Indian batters received ample scoring chances. Gill's languid grace wowed the crowd when he essayed an off-drive off Chris Woakes and followed it up with a dreamy clip off the pads for a boundary as England's second most experienced bowler went for almost five runs an over across the first two sessions. Watch: Yashasvi Jaiswal Celebrates First Ton On English Soil In Hedingley Opener

Last Updated: Jaiswal opened the innings for India after being put to bat first by England and came up with a blistering ton to help the tourists take control of the opening day of the series. Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal produced a masterful knock to bring up his first century on English soil on Friday in the opening Test of the five-match series between India and England at the Headingley Stadium. Jaiswal opened the innings for India after being put to bat first by England and came up with a blistering ton to help the tourists take control of the opening day of the series. The century marked the southpaw's fifth in the longest format of the game as he also became the first Indian opener to notch up a ton in Leeds. Jaiswal began the innings alongside KL Rahul and the duo put up a 91-runs stand for the first wicket before the latter was removed from the crease by Brydon Carse for 42 runs. Debutant Sai Sudharsan had a forgettable day as he departed for a duck as English skipper Ben Stokes scalped the southpaw. India racked up 215 runs for the loss of just 2 wickets as the players headed to their dressing room for tea. Jaiswal and Gill resumed the innings following the conclusion of the break as the hosts captain Stokes got another breakthrough for his side with the dismissal of Jaiswal as the all-rounder castled the Indian southpaw for 101 runs.
