Ithra Celebrates Eid Al-Adha with 31 Festivities
The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) is set to celebrate Eid Al-Adha through 31 events over three days, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Ithra will provide visitors of all ages with a vast array of entertaining and cultural activities such as music, storytelling, games and workshops.
Several activities will be in Arabic but are accessible to all people under the theme of 'Ribbons of Giving.' Ithra
Interestingly, the center will host a concert at Ithra Theater by Egyptian oud virtuoso Islam Al-Qasabgy, who is known for mixing classical Arabic music with modern styles.
Meanwhile, Ithra Cinema will display the Japanese manga character Chibi Maruko-chan and the Japanese animated fantasy movie 'Kiki's Delivery Service' with Arabic subtitles.
Moreover, visitors will have an unmissable opportunity to visit various stunning exhibitions at Ithra Museum, which focus on handicrafts and align with the 'Year of Handicrafts'. Ithra
Other festive offerings involve a 96 km trek along the historic Hajj trail that shares many stories about persistence and generosity across generations.
Visitors can also enjoy an interactive show titled 'A Melody from Every Land' which celebrates the cultural diversity of the Islamic world and reflects the different traditions of Eid Al-Adha.
Guests can enter Ithra from 4 to 11 p.m. during the Eid celebrations for free. Only certain events are ticketed.

Saudi Arabia Welcomes 116 mln Visitors in 2024
Saudi Arabia welcomed nearly 116 million domestic and inbound tourists in 2024, marking a significant milestone in the Kingdom's tourism sector, according to the Saudi Press Agency. The ministry also released its 2024 Annual Statistical Report on Saudi Arabia's tourism sector to highlight key indicators of tourism activity and review the sector's growth during the year. Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb stated that the report focuses on the efforts of the ministry and all stakeholders in Saudi Arabia's tourism ecosystem. According to the report, total tourism spending for domestic and inbound travel recorded approximately SAR284 billion, marking an 11% year-over-year growth. Furthermore, the Kingdom reached its highest-ever number of inbound tourists, with almost 30 million visitors in 2024, marking an 8% rise compared to 2023. Meanwhile, inbound tourism spending in 2024 surged to SAR168.5 billion, up 19% from the previous year. The Ministry of Tourism noted that this remarkable success was mainly driven by the efforts and support of the Saudi leadership in line with the Saudi Vision 2030. As for domestic tourism, the ministry reported noticeable growth with 86.2 million domestic tourists in 2024, representing a 5% increase compared to 2023. The domestic tourism spending also reached SAR115.3 billion in 2024. Saudi art returns to Concentrico festival in Spain
DHAHRAN: The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, known as Ithra, returns with more Saudi-inspired art for the second year at the Concentrico International Festival of Architecture and Design in Spain. The installation will be open to the public at Plaza de la Diversidad in Logrono until June 24. This year, Ithra presents 'Rooted in Warmth' by Saudi multimedia artist Raghad Al-Ahmed, alongside a sensory experience, 'Summer Blessings,' by Saudi visual narrative studio Nclass. Visitors are encouraged to interact with and even climb the structure to experience the connection between agriculture and community ties to nature. The installation was created with more than 50 women artisans from Jouf, northern Saudi Arabia, inspired by Al-Ahmed's roots in the Hejazi community, particularly Taif, where gatherings under tree shade are part of rural life. The sensory experience 'Summer Blessings' complements 'Rooted in Warmth' by showcasing the diversity of local fruits and herbs. Noura Al-Zamil, head of programs at Ithra, said: 'We are proud to present Raghad Al-Ahmed's work at Concentrico. Showcasing it at a leading European design festival reflects Ithra's ongoing efforts to support creative expression.
