Bizarre pictures emerge of the Beauty and the Geek star now charged with the murder of her partner - after she was filmed posing TOPLESS in a wedding veil at a war memorial
Bizarre images have emerged of a former reality star standing topless on a war memorial, wearing a veil and holding a sharp object just weeks before she was charged with murder.
The woman, 34, was arrested on Thursday after police responded to reports of a small fire at the South Australia home she shared with her partner in Port Lincoln.
But when emergency services arrived, they found the body of a man inside.
The 34-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and later charged with murder. Her identity, and the identity of the dead man, cannot be revealed for legal reasons.
It is understood she had only moved in with the man a few months earlier.
Just a few weeks before the alleged murder, the woman was seen standing topless at the Port Lincoln war memorial while wearing a white wedding dress-style veil.
The eerie footage, broadcast by 7News, showed the woman motionless and silent while holding a sharp, pointed object at Port Lincoln's Garden of Remembrance.
The weird behaviour was filmed by a passer-by and resurfaced after the tragic incident last week.
The dead man's neighbours said the death had rocked their tight-knit community.
One said he would often see the woman in passing on local streets.
He said she was in a relationship with the alleged victim and had moved into his unit several months ago.
'She seemed normal, she was good,' he told 7News. 'It's devastating. This doesn't happen in a small town like Port Lincoln.'
A second neighbour added: 'It's just sad.
'I was on the other side of town [when the fire happened], came back later … it was a shock for me.'
A suppression order preventing the publication of any information that could identify the woman, the victim, or the specific details surrounding the man's death was imposed by Adelaide Magistrates Court.
South Australia Police have confirmed the alleged victim and the accused were known to each other and had been in a relationship.
Officers and forensics teams continue to gather evidence from within the unit, while police continue searches across town to piece together the woman's movements prior to the fire.
Assistant Commissioner Ian Parrott said on Friday that a cause of death had not yet been determined and no further details could be released as the dead man's family had not yet been notified.
'There is a range of things at the scene that need to be worked through,' he added.
'It is a very complex scene.'
The woman appeared at Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday but did not apply for bail and has been detained under the Mental Health Act.
She is expected to return to court in December.
The suppression order is set to be reviewed on Friday, but in the meantime, online speculation has seen several other Beauty and The Geek stars wrongly accused.
On Sunday, one former cast member of the defunct reality show hit back at false rumours that she was involved.
Kiera Johnstone, who won the dating show in 2021, posted a statement on social media to clarify she was not the reality TV star arrested for the alleged murder.
Johnstone, 26, messaged followers on Sunday after false speculation wrongly linked her with the allegations.
'A former contestant from Beauty and the Geek has been charged with a very serious crime,' she posted.
'Although no names have been released, for reasons beyond my understanding, there has been speculation online suggesting that I am involved.
'Let me be absolutely clear: I am not involved in any way. I have not been charged with a crime.
'I have literally never even had a parking fine. The allegations being discussed have nothing to do with me, and the fact that I even need to say this is incredibly upsetting.
'It's deeply disturbing to see people spreading false information, making assumptions and sharing screenshots.
'I understand the internet can be quick to judge, but this kind of speculation is damaging and invasive and is something I take very seriously.
'If you are part of the group fuelling this - sharing, gossiping or silently watching - I ask you to please stop.
'This is not entertainment. This is a serious situation, that involves alleged victims. You're literally sick if you think this is at all funny.
'As this has nothing to do with me, this will be the only time I speak on the matter.
'Thank you to those who reached out with kindness and common sense.'

NSW upper house president seeks advice from Bret Walker over possible political staffer arrests
The president of the New South Wales upper house has sought advice from high-profile barrister Bret Walker SC over whether he can seek arrest warrants for government staffers who failed to give evidence to an inquiry examining the Sydney caravan 'fake terrorism plot', Guardian Australia understands. Ben Franklin is expected to reveal on Tuesday whether he intends to seek arrest warrants from the NSW supreme court for five staffers who were summoned to appear before the inquiry on Friday, but did not attend. Three are from the office of the premier, Chris Minns, and two work for the police minister, Yasmin Catley. According to sources with knowledge of the situation, Franklin has sought advice from leading senior counsel Walker, who represented George Pell in his appeal to the high court and former attorney general Christian Porter in his defamation case against the ABC. Sign up for Guardian Australia's breaking news email Under the Parliamentary Evidence Act, if the president is satisfied that the five staffers failed to appear without just cause or reasonable excuse, the matter will be referred to a judge of the supreme court. If the judge agrees, then warrants would be issued, the staffers arrested and brought before the committee to give evidence. The standoff between the premier's office and an upper house inquiry into Minns' handling of the Dural caravan incident has inflamed simmering tensions between the premier and the upper house. There is a long-standing precedent that members of the legislative assembly cannot be compelled to appear before the upper house and vice versa, but the question of whether staff from a minister's office can be compelled is heavily contested. 'They are staff employed by the executive. If the legislative council can't scrutinise employees of executive government, of a minister's office, we might as well go to the beach,' independent upper house MP, Mark Latham, said. Constitutional law expert Prof Anne Twomey, from Sydney University, suggested that the right to refuse to appear may also extend to ministerial staff. Twomey pointed to the principle that members can't be compelled by the other house and the well-established principle of ministerial responsibility, with questions in parliament providing an avenue for other MPs to seek information of ministers. The inquiry – launched with the support of the Coalition, the Greens and crossbench MLCs – is examining the handling of information about the caravan plot amid concerns whether parliament was 'misled' before controversial laws aimed at curbing antisemitism were rushed through parliament. In January, after it was announced that the caravan had been found in Dural laden with explosives, Minns said it had the potential to be a 'mass casualty event'. But in March, the Australian federal police revealed they believed it was a 'con job' by organised crime figures seeking to divert police resources and influence prosecutions. The inquiry was told that the briefings on the matter were 'pens down' meetings and no notes were taken. They have since sought to summons staff to determine who knew what and when. More staff from the NSW premier's office are facing summonses and the threat of arrest if they do not agree to appear at a second upper house inquiry, intensifying the standoff between the NSW upper house and the Minns government. A second committee is currently considering responses to requests that premier's staff appear to answer questions about the $37.6m Local Small Community Allocations program. Minns' chief of staff, James Cullen, has agreed to appear, but others more intimately involved with the grants program are believed to have raised concerns about appearing. The little-known grants program has come under scrutiny. Although it gave equal allocations of $400,000 to each of the 93 NSW electorates, its detractors allege Labor candidates were asked to nominate how it would be spent, effectively turning it into a pork barrelling exercise to benefit Labor. The upper house has already expressed its anger about the slow pace of the government in producing documents about this program to the upper house. It took the rare step in late May of censuring the leader of the government in the upper house, Penny Sharpe, over the tardy production of documents.

Hell breaks loose on plane as passenger is REMOVED from a flight - as trivial reason for altercation with airline crew emerges
A 28-year-old woman has been booted from a domestic flight following a bizarre stoush with cabin crew staff. Virgin airline crew reported dealing with a woman who began acting erratically on a flight bound for Melbourne from Perth on Friday. Footage from the incident showed the woman beginning to argue with a flight attendant while the plane was still on the tarmac. The woman had reportedly been asked to remove a bum bag for the flight. 'You're telling me to take my clothes off on a plane, f*** off,' she said in the footage. The barrage appeared to have been directed at an air hostess. 'No I didn't say that... you had a bum bag on, in the event of an evacuation we need to make sure you're safe and everyone else is safe,' the attendant responded. 'That's alright the (Australian Federal Police) will deal with you.' Another crew member could then be seen ushering the stewardess away. Officers of the Australian Federal Police (AFP) then boarded the plane. Seven News reported the woman was hauled off the plane and charged by AFP officers. 'The Perth woman was spoken to and removed from the plane without incident,' an AFP spokeswoman said. The woman will be issued with a summons to appear in court at a later date.

Bride shot dead on wedding day in south of France, reports say
A bride was shot dead on her wedding day in the south of France after she and her groom were targeted by hooded and armed attackers, according to local media. The pair were leaving the party in a car along with a 13-year-old child when they were shot at, reports said. Prosecutors have opened an investigation for "murder and attempted murder by an organised gang". The 27-year-old bride was fatally shot. One of the attackers was also killed after being struck by the bride and groom's car as they tried to escape the ambush, French newspaper Le Figaro reports. The incident reportedly happened in the village of Goult near the southeast French city of Avignon. Three people were injured: the groom, his sister and the 13-year-old child, Le Figaro reported. Goult's mayor Didier Perello said he believed the attack was "targeted", adding that he was "angry, revolted, in shock", in comments reported by the newspaper.
