A PREMIER LEAGUE club have been given a huge boost after getting the green light for their £130million stadium expansion.
The club moved into their current home ground all the way back in 1898 - 127 years ago.

And now Nottingham Forest are preparing to make their latest improvements to the historic stadium.
The City Ground was updated in 1957, 1965, 1980, 1993 and 1996.
But no major work has been done on the venue for almost 30 years.
Now, though, Forest have taken a big step closer to moderning and expanding their home.

Plans to bulldoze and rebuild the Peter Taylor stand will be put forward to the Rushcliffe Borough Council on June 26.
And the planning committee will consider the application after the council planning department "recommended that planning permission be granted subject to a series of planning conditions".
Should it get through as expected, Forest can start making progress with the update.
The plans will see a new 10,000-seater stand built.

It would also be the tallest of the stands at the stadium at 38m tall.
The new main stand's opening should take the City Ground capacity from 30,404 to an initial 35,000.

When first proposed in 2019, the estimated cost was £94m.
However, that has now risen to £130m.
The longer-term plan is then to develop the Bridgford end and increase the number of seats to 40,000 while a 169-apartment block of flats is also in the works.
A Forest and council joint statement said: 'Nottingham Forest has been in regular dialogue with Rushcliffe Borough Council, Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council regarding the redevelopment of the City Ground.
'The parties can confirm they are working towards the Rushcliffe Borough Council Planning Committee date of Thursday, 26 June to consider the application.
"There will be no further comment other than as required by the relevant legal process.'
It is thought the final administration will be through in 2026, with Forest set to start construction work as soon as possible after that.

Brighton and Forest locked in Cuiabano transfer battle after three rejected bids
Brighton and Nottingham Forest are going head-to-head for Botafogo left-back Cuiabano, who is currently away at the Club World Cup Brighton are refusing to give up on the signing of Botafogo left-back Cuiabano - despite seeing three bids rejected for the 22-year-old Brazilian. Nottingham Forest have also attempted to sign Cuiabano and their interest in the player remains strong. The Tricky Trees have already agreed a £30million package deal with Botafogo for striker Igor Jesus and centre-back Jair Cunha, who will both move to the City Ground following their participation in the Club World Cup. However, so far, they've been unable to strike an agreement for Cuiabano and the race for his signature remains open. Brighton's latest offer was worth in the region of £7.7m including add-ons but it was still not enough to satisfy Botafogo's valuation. Marcus Rashford has been tight-lipped on his uncertain future so far this summer but now the Manchester United star has broken his silence, hinting at a dream move to Barcelona Marcus Rashford has dropped his biggest hint yet that he wants to join Barcelona. The Manchester United star, 27, appears to have no future at Old Trafford after falling out of favour under Ruben Amorim and being loaned out for the second half of last season. Rashford's brother and agent, Dwaine Maynard, was seen meeting Barca sporting director Deco in Catalunya last month. The England international joined Aston Villa on loan in January but the Premier League club look to have seemingly decided against exercising their option to sign him for £40million. He's playing at the highest level, I don't think we've seen it. To have his mentality is a skill. "He's not normal to be doing what he does and he will keep improving. (The Ballon d'Or) If you look at it in football ability he has to win, but then you look at Ousmane Dembele, the Champions League." The 27-year-old then sent a message to Barcelona manager Hansi Flick, suggesting that he can be Robert Lewandowski's long-term successor up front.
