After hearing the phrase 'Dream Big' not many are able to open up their imagination to the world. Those who do and put all their hard work into those dreams, end up reaping the fruits of it.
But when you achieve a big dream, the claps are loud and so are your own emotions on a journey whose hard work, struggles and success are only privy to you and yours.
Chef Vijay Kumar, the Executive chef of Michelin-starred South Indian restaurant in NYC, Semma, recently won the Best Chef Award at the prestigious James Beard Awards. Originally from Tamil Nadu, he is now the recipient of one of the highest honours in the United States' culinary world.
The win is even more special for the 44-year-old as it is his first nomination and win.
In an emotional speech that is now going viral on social media, Kumar reflected on his journey towards success, 'When I started cooking, I never thought a dark-skinned boy from Tamil Nadu would make it to a room like this. But the food I grew up on food made with care, with fire, with soul, is now taking the main stage.'
He also emphasised the connection between food and culture, reflecting how a culinary creation has the power to connect all.
'There's no such thing as a poor person's food or rich person's food. It's food. It's powerful. And the real luxury is to be able to connect with each other around the dinner table. Tonight, Indian cuisine stands tall, Tamil food stands tall, my own food and heritage stand tall, and it all matters.
I stand here for everyone who never thought their story belonged to be on a stage like this,' he said.

'Your journey has touched the hearts of people'
Dear Jethalal,.This letter comes from not just a fan of 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', but someone who was lucky enough to meet Dilip Joshi ji in person. That moment was truly special — meeting the man behind the most iconic character on Indian your hilarious excuses, 'Tappu ke papa' moments, to your non-stop drama with Bapuji, Daya bhabhi, Bagha, and Iyer, you've brought so much laughter into our lives. Your expressions, your comic timing, and your ability to turn an everyday problem into an epic scene are unmatched. What makes you special is that no matter how messy things get, whether it's a broken TV at Gada Electronics or another misunderstanding with Iyer, you always manage to bounce back, with a smile (and sometimes Taarak Mehta's rescue!)..You have brought laughter to our homes for years, whether it's your daily troubles at Gada Electronics or your misunderstandings with Babita ji. We admire your sweet and sometimes chaotic relationship with Bapuji. Please convey my warm regards to Daya bhabhi, we all miss her unique 'Garba' and her unforgettable 'Hey Maa! Mataji!'. .Wishing you fewer problems from customers, a peaceful life in Gokuldham, and fewer scoldings from Bapuji. Keep smiling, and keep entertaining us forever. .Jethalal isn't just a role, he's an emotion we all connect love and respect,.Ankita Chebbi, 15, Hubballi, cooler Eeyore,.How are things going in 100 acre wood? How are all your friends doing?.I keep watching all your antics on TV everyday. You are actually a really lucky donkey. You live in the middle of a beautiful wood and you have so many good friends like Tigger, Piglet, Owl, Rabbit, Christopher Robin and most of all Winnie the Pooh!.You may think you are really uninteresting, but you are not. Your gloominess always makes me smile and I find myself liking you more and more each you still feel sad after reading all this, why don't you go and ask Winnie the Pooh for some honey? Honey is so sweet and always makes everybody smile. Besides Pooh is a generous old bear and he always has some honey to spare. I also feel the pink ribbon on your tail suits you very well. You should wear bright colours more often. Although you could be a little more cheerful your gloominess is what makes you special! .Manaswini, 10, Bengaluru, Harry Potter,.I've wanted to write to you for the longest might not realise it, but your journey has reached far beyond the halls of Hogwarts and the magical world — it's touched the hearts of people like me in the Muggle the moment you stepped onto Platform 93/4, I felt like I was right there with you — facing trolls, flying on broomsticks, dodging Death Eaters, and standing up for what's story isn't just about defeating Voldemort. It's about friendship, bravery, loyalty, and believing in yourself when the world doubts you. I admire how you never gave up, even when things seemed impossible. You remind me that true magic lies in choices, love, and courage..I often imagine what it would be like to be in your shoes — walking through the castle halls, attending classes with Professor McGonagall, or even sneaking into the kitchens with the Marauder's Map in hand. Hogwarts feels like home, even for someone like me who's never been you for being a symbol of hope, strength, and heart. You've inspired me in ways no spell ever magic and admiration,.Gaurav Ganesh, 15, Hassan, Karnataka

Aerial yoga is the best form of workout and relaxation: Netri Trivedi
Netri Trivedi joins us for a shoot For Netri Trivedi , yoga 'helped me to overcome a tough phase of my life last year.' On International Day of Yoga, the actress, who recently completed shooting for Chaniya Toli, joined us for a shoot. She says, 'I would exercise in the gym before, but found it aggressive as a workout. Yoga is a more balanced and relaxing workout which helps me maintain my fitness and ensures good mental health.' Excerpts: ' Aerial Savasana is my favourite' I have been doing yoga for a while and I find aerial yoga fascinating. Two years ago, I started doing aerial yoga and it has been the best form of workout and relaxation. It also made me realise that there are so many asanas within aerial yoga. I enjoy doing asanas like aerial Surya Namaskar, but aerial Savasana is my favourite. Aerial yoga's antigravity nature helps you gain balance and posture while maintaining fitness. When you start getting older, your knees aren't able to carry your weight. But through aerial yoga, you learn how to hold yourself and allow your body to carry it. 'Today, I owe my mental and physical stability to yoga' Last year was difficult, with a lot of ups and downs in my life. But I didn't miss doing yoga for a single day, and it helped me overcome the struggles and anxiety. It would make me feel productive and release endorphins. There were many instances when I felt anxious, but doing some stretches would uplift my mood, sometimes even through tears. I owe a lot of my mental and physical stability to yoga today. 'Yoga is a 360-degree workout' Netri says, 'Today, life is unpredictable, and with the kind of lifestyle and diet we have, we see health scares even at a young age. Everyone should work out in whatever capacity they can. If one gives priority to their fitness for just one year, they will realise how everything changes for them.' She adds, 'Yoga, an Indian practice, is a 360-degree workout. We see people in the west and across the world practising yoga, so why can't we do that too? It relaxes your soul and benefits your mental health.' Netri adds, "Even if we take a break from doing yoga every day, it doesn't adversely affect your body with sudden weight gain, like it happens with gym workouts. It is very helpful for artistes, who have to take breaks often due to shoot schedules. In March this year, I was unwell for a month while I was shooting for two projects. It made me realise that health is everything for us today. I had stopped doing yoga due to my hectic shoot schedules, but I am back to it now. "
