Patrick Mahomes' half-brother gets NFL chance at Chiefs rookie camp
The Chiefs are keeping it all in the family.
Out of 87 players participating in the team's rookie minicamp this weekend, 60 are on a tryout basis, and one in particular stands out.
Graham Walker, who is the half-brother of quarterback Patrick Mahomes, will be a part of the camp, according to ArrowheadPride.com.
He is also the son of Patrick Mahomes Sr, but he grew up in Vermont with his mom, Jessamyn Walker, and stepfather, Gerry Howatt.

Walker just finished his senior year as a tight end at Rice University, where he transferred last season with the initial plan to play receiver after three years at Brown.
Following the year, he declared for the draft at 6-foot-3 and 227 pounds but was not selected last week in Green Bay.
In his 2023 season at Brown, Walker had 44 catches for 515 yards and six touchdowns. With Rice, he caught 24 passes for 252 yards and zero touchdowns in 2024.
His best college year came as a freshman, recording 658 yards for six touchdowns in 2021.
It is unknown how Walker and Mahomes define their relationship, but according to the Daily Mail, the two have met a few times.

However, Walker recently admitted his three-time Super Bowl-winning half-brother has been keeping a watchful eye on his game.
'I know Patrick has been watching the games, and he's reached out and said good things that I've been doing,' Walker told Seven Days. 'When someone who's accomplished so much can say you're doing well, it really feels good.'
With any luck, Walker could find himself in the Chiefs' tight end room with Travis Kelce.

Horse racing trainer D. Wayne Lukas in hospice care after hospitalization
Legendary thoroughbred trainer D. Wayne Lukas, 89, is back home for hospice care after being hospitalized in Louisville. Lukas had a MRSA blood infection that caused significant damage to his heart and digestive system while also worsening some preexisting conditions, according to a statement released by the Lukas family. The family stated that Lukas declined an aggressive treatment plan, intending to spend his remaining time with his wife and family at home. The Hall of Famer's career spanned more than six decades, working with horses that earned victories at notable race tracks. A succession plan was implemented by Lukas Enterprises Inc., and all horses previously trained by Lukas have been transferred to veteran assistant Sebastian 'Bas' Nicholl. Wayne Lukas' biography Lukas made a name for himself in Southern California, earning his first documented win as a thoroughbred trainer at Santa Anita Park on Oct. 20, 1977, at age 42. He had a stable based at Churchill Downs in Kentucky since 1989. Lukas' 15 Triple Crown races are second only to trainer Bob Baffert, who has 17 in his career. He was enshrined in horse racing's Hall of Fame in 1999 and the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame in 2007, becoming the first person recognized as a member of both. Tom Brady Captures Another Title, Wins Inaugural Fanatics Games and $1M Prize
Tom Brady is a champion once again. The seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback won the inaugural Fanatics Games at this weekend's Fanatics Fest in New York, earning him a $1 million prize. The all-time great was among 100 celebrities, athletes and fans to compete in the Fantatics Games, which consisted of eight competitions. The eight competitions consisted of activities from different sports, such as quarterback skills, basketball shooting, soccer goal-scoring and baseball pitching accuracy, among other competitions. One of the other competitions was a WWE Superstar entrance. In his WWE Superstar entrance, Brady spat on New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner jersey and ripped former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning's jersey. Manning later interrupted his entrance, jumping on top of him. That entrance helped Brady earn 399.1 total points in the Fanatics Games. Manning was also one of the athletes who participated, finishing in fifth with 314.5 total points as Brady was able to get some revenge over the quarterback who defeated him in two Super Bowls. Brady, a FOX Sports employee, collected his $1 million prize at the Javits Center on Sunday. However, he awarded $5,000 to each of the 50 fans who participated in the Fanatics Games, while the rest of that money will go to charity. Brady's participation in the Fanatics Games was just one of the few viral moments he had from Fanatics Fest over the weekend. On Friday, he struggled to pick out the real Rob Gronkowski in a group of 20 people dressed like his former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers teammate. On Saturday, Brady joined LeBron James, Victor Wembanyama, streamer Kai Cenat and Maverick Carter for a live taping of "The Shop." "He's always done things the right way. He's always risen above all the noise and BS and continued to deliver," Brady said of James as he sat next to the Los Angeles Lakers star. "So you're witnessing the greatest ever, and I hope you guys will appreciate that." As for the other participants in the Fanatics Games, UFC fighter Justin Gaethje finished in second with 345.5 points. He won a a Ferrari 812 GTS for his performance. Matt Dennish, a 39-year-old teacher from Pennsylvania, finished with 326 points to place third in the competition. He outscored athletes such as James Harden, Tyreek Hill, Dwight Howard, Gronkowski, Michael Chandler and Micah Parsons, who all finished in the top 20 of the athletes who competed in the event. Harden dressed as Hulk Hogan for his WWE entrance. Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was also among the athletes who participated, struggling in the pitching accuracy competition. He finished 36th in the competition. Jacksonville Jaguars two-way star Travis Hunter had the worst showing among the athletes who competed at the event, while new Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant finished with the second-worst mark.
