Nationwide to send out £100 to millions from today but warns some will miss out
Nationwide is paying out a third round of its Fairer Share payments between June 18 and July 4 in a boost to millions of customers - here's everything you need to know

From today, millions of Nationwide bankers will begin to receive £100 bonus payments, however not every customer will get it. The building society is distributing a third round of its Fairer Share payments between June 18 and July 4.
Eligible customers should have received an email or letter from Nationwide with the bonus being paid directly into your current account, so there's no need to apply for it. To qualify for the payment, you must hold a qualifying current account, as well as a savings account or mortgage with Nationwide.

The exact qualifying criteria for each type of Nationwide current account can be found below.
Your current account must have been opened on or before March 31, 2025.
For savings accounts, you must have had at least £100 saved at the end of any day in March, 2025.

If you have a mortgage, you must have had at least £100 left to pay off on March 31, 2025.
Nationwide will distribute a total of £400 million to four million customers after its statutory profit before tax rose to a record £2.3 billion, reports the Mirror.
This follows a separate £50 thank you bonus that Nationwide paid out to customers earlier this year following the Virgin Money takeover.

Debbie Crosbie, Nationwide's Chief Executive, said: "Nationwide has had an outstanding twelve months.
"We returned a record £2.8 billion in value to our members and recorded our highest ever year for growth in mortgage lending and retail deposit balances, and we remain first for customer service."
Nationwide Fairer Share - qualifying current accounts
Here is the additional qualifying criteria for each Nationwide current account:

New £25m landmark whisky distillery fills first casks

Ardgowan Distillery in Inverkip is to formally opened today by Kate Forbes, Scotland's Deputy First Minister, as its first casks are filled since building concluded earlier this month. Founded in 2017, the firm is led by Roland Grain, whisky entrepreneur, and Laura Davies, distillery manager, who together spearhead an expert team with a combined experience spanning over seven decades in the whisky industry. (Image: Getty Images) Featuring a sweeping Scandinavian longhouse design and 97 per cent recycled aluminium roof, the distillery has its sights set on producing top quality whisky and striving for carbon neutrality. Ms Forbes said: 'This is a significant moment for the region's economy, with investment and job opportunities set to boost local communities. 'Scotland's whisky industry is a pivotal contributor to our positive global standing and provides great economic benefit, adding over £7 billion to the UK economy and generating £5.4bn in exports alone. 'I congratulate the team at Ardgowan for the dedication they have shown on this journey and I wish them every success as they enter the next phase of their operations.' Following eight years of development, planning and construction, it is the first new distillery to open in Inverclyde for over a century. The firm said that, until now, the last distillery to operate in the region was destroyed in the Greenock Blitz. The first casks are filled. Meghan Markle announces huge career update ahead of lifestyle brand restock

Meghan Markle has shared an exciting update as she gets set to launch her brand new As Ever products. The Duchess of Sussex's first batch of goods sold out within hours and now she is ready to launch her next load. Earlier this year, the mum of two announced the launch of her online venture and she revealed her first run of items for sale back in April. As part of that, she released a select number of products including Raspberry Spread in Keepsake Packaging, which retailed at $14 (£10) each. Another product Meghan released was Flower Sprinkles which costs $15 (£11) for each pack as well as a Limited Edition Wildflower Honey with Honeycomb, which was a costly $28 (£20). Other items on offer included a Herbal Hibiscus Tea as well as other teas including Lemon Ginger, Peppermint and there was also a Crepe Mix and Shortbread Cookie Mix with Flower Spinkles for sale, costing $14 (£10) each, writes the Mirror. She also retailed a Raspberry Spread at $9 (£6) per 215g. Most of these products are expected to be restocked in this new update today. She is also launching some new lines too, however is yet to reveal exactly what. The duchess shared on her Instagram page that she has been making jams for friends and family for years and wanted to share that love with the rest of the world. She wrote: "For years, I've been making jams, preserves, and fruit spreads for friends and family. The feedback from my loved ones was always the same: 'Starting my day with your jam makes me feel happy'. "These moments inspired me to dream up something far greater than I could create in my kitchen at home. I asked myself, 'What would it take to scale my fruit spreads into something I could share more broadly'?" She added: "Could I adapt my recipe into something that could bring more people that feeling of joy? And what else could I add to this collection to spark a smile, to make your day a bit easier, to elevate your everyday?" Meghan then explained that with "the support of an amazing team, dedicated focus, and hard work", they made it happen. She concluded: "As Ever, for me, is an extension of how I love. Through thoughtful gestures and small details, I hope this collection brings you as much joy as it does for those I hold close." The product launch comes shortly after it was announced that the former actress would be filming a second series of her recent Netflix show With Love Meghan, in which she bakes and cooks from scratch, as well as creates homemade items like candles and bath salts.
