
Mother is first home, eternal love: Mohammed
Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Friday said via the 'X' platform that the mother constitutes the inaugural home and eternal love, one that is everlasting. In a tweet on the 'X' platform, Sheikh Mohammed said, 'The mother represents the inaugural home, where an individual is raised, the inaugural source of affection, and the initial institution of learning. All achievements throughout one's life are a direct result of the sacrifices made by mothers.'
He further said, 'On the occasion of the Mother's Day this year, it is important to acknowledge the profound significance of mothers. They embody the most precious treasure and the greatest blessing. Happy Mother's Day! Mothers are the most beautiful aspect of life and the most cherished gift.'
Separately, Ahmad Saeed Bin Meshar Al Muhairi, Supreme Legislation Committee (SLC) Secretary General, said, 'Mother's Day is a significant occasion to express heartfelt appreciation for the boundless generosity of mothers, who selflessly nurture future generations and strengthen the fabric of society.'
'As the cornerstone of families, mothers instil noble values in their children, preparing them to become responsible individuals who can contribute meaningfully to their society and fulfil the aspirations pinned upon them to drive national progress.'
'In recognition of the remarkable role of mothers, the UAE is committed to empowering mothers and enhancing their status by creating a supporting environment that allows them to balance their family, social, and professional responsibilities.'

Priority will be given to the slaughter of sheep and goats on the first day, with cattle and camels to be slaughtered after 11:30 AM. Commercial orders will be accepted starting at 10:30 AM on the third day. It is worth noting that the livestock market in Al Dhaid is one of the projects of Sharjah Asset Management, the investment arm of the Emirate of Sharjah.
