is 35, and he's in no mood to retire. Now, when we talk of the Kansas City Chiefs TE, why don't we also mention their Super Bowl LIX rival, the Philadelphia Eagles' OT? There's a similarity! Lane Johnson, too, turned 35 and is in no mood to retire! 35 is the new 29 for him! At a press meet with NBC Sports Philadelphia, he says, 'Now, I feel like even though I'm 35, I feel better than I was when I started(or when I was) 29 or 30.
Now I feel like I'm getting close to maybe my peak. As weird as it is to say, but that's how I truly feel.'
Ankle injuries
and surgeries did not stop the six-time
Pro Bowler
Lane
Johnson
from feeling like he was at his peak age
Senior Bowl Hall of Famer Lane Johnson has had ankle injuries for the longest time - once in 2018, then in 2019 up to 2020. He was out of the seasons for most parts of them. Explaining the same, Johnson shared with Reuben Frank of NBC Sports Philadelphia,
'I had the (ankle) surgeries, and so for me, the toughest year was 2021.
You can go back and watch it. You can clearly see on film (that) I was very hindered with my left foot. And now, I feel like I'm getting close to maybe my peak. As weird as it is to say, but that's truly how I feel. Maybe they need to do a Combine for guys 10 years (in the league), see how we do compared to 10 years ago.'
Two-time First-team All-Pro Lane Johnson says being drafted to the Kansas City Chiefs instead of the Philadelphia Eagles would not have been bad
The what-ifs never fail to surprise everyone! Taking the Super Bowl LIX rivalry a notch above, Lane Johnson expressed his desire to have been plucked out of college football(Oklahoma Sooners) by the Kansas City Chiefs instead of the Philadelphia Eagles.

There was Tyreek Hill's Miami Dolphins, too.
In Johnson's words - 'I thought about what would have happened if I went to Miami(Dolphins). Kansas City(Chiefs) wouldn't have been bad.
But yeah, very fortunate to land here(Philadelphia Eagles), and I just think the passion of the city and the intensity and how they focus so much on the sport. I think it allows, whatever pressure they put on you, I think it allows you to be the best player you can be.
So, it's something that you can really appreciate in time, and I know I have.'
The Groveton alumnus was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles as a first-round, 4th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. In the 2024 NFL season, Johnson received a 90.6 PFF offensive grade - the best record to date in his NFL career! No wonder he feels so charged up for the upcoming 2025 NFL season!

"Still got cheated on by his wife": Shirtless at 47, Tom Brady flexes shredded physique and fans bring Gisele Bundchen reference

Tom Brady, 47, shows off lean, muscular frame in viral photo (Getty Images) Even after hanging up his cleats in 2023, Tom Brady continues to defy aging like it's just another Sunday game plan. The 47-year-old NFL icon, who retired for good two years ago, might be away from the gridiron, but he hasn't stepped away from his rigorous commitment to physical excellence. Tom Brady leaves fans speechless with his ripped physique and ageless charm Far from slowing down, the seven-time Super Bowl champion has been juggling multiple roles—thriving as a lead color commentator for Fox Sports, building his business empire, and taking on a fresh chapter as a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. Amid all this, Brady's dedication to his body remains stronger than ever. Recently, Brady shared a carousel of workout photos on Instagram—some of which featured him in full training mode, including one striking shirtless image. The post, also doubling as an ad, revealed the former quarterback on a leg press machine, showcasing his muscular frame and toned legs. The internet, naturally, couldn't stay calm. 'At home, on the road, at work, or halfway across the world, the mindset travels with you. I'm always amazed by what the human body can do, and I'll always be committed to moving with purpose, one day at a time. No shortcuts, no noise, just the work and the will to keep showing up. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 2 BHK homes starting at ₹ 72.6 Lakh at Mahindra Happinest Tathawade . That single quote reflects not just a marketing plug, but the mindset that made Brady a sports legend in the first place. The shirtless image that concluded his post instantly lit up social media, drawing admiration and awe from fans who couldn't help but notice how the GOAT still looks game-ready. But it's not all about the weights. Earlier this year, Brady revealed a new twist to his routine—he added swimming to his workout plan to maintain his stamina and core strength while balancing life on the road and behind the broadcast mic. Despite no longer chasing defenders or throwing bullets on the field, Brady hasn't lost his rhythm. Whether traveling through Europe or exploring Japan with his kids—Benjamin, 15, and Vivian, 12—he makes sure to stay on top of his fitness. Even vacation doesn't slow him down. Meanwhile, fans are bringing his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen in the comment section. Brady's ability to stay fit and disciplined in his post-retirement life is not just inspirational—it's elite. Most men approaching 50 are more concerned with dad bods than dumbbells, but Brady's commitment continues to put them all to shame. His post-retirement body transformation isn't about vanity—it's about consistency, purpose, and the unrelenting will to keep showing up, every single day. Not a spring chicken anymore? Chiefs' Andy Reid is not afraid to limit Travis Kelce's load and become the 'bad guy'

Andy Reid keeps close eye on Travis Kelce's workload — age catching up to the not-so-spring chicken (Imagn Images) The Kansas City Chiefs are back on the grind, laser-focused on securing a fourth consecutive Super Bowl appearance. And at the heart of that ambition stands Travis Kelce—back for his 13th season, defying retirement rumors and pushing his limits even at 35. Kelce's future with the team was clouded in uncertainty following a quiet end to the 2024 playoffs. After logging just 19 receiving yards against the Buffalo Bills and 39 against the Eagles in the Super Bowl loss, many speculated that the three-time Super Bowl champion might hang up his cleats. But the veteran tight end quickly put those whispers to rest during this week's mandatory minicamp. Travis Kelce gets special treatment from Andy Reid "I love football. I don't think I really thought about it that much," Kelce told reporters after Wednesday's session. "... I love coming in to work every single day. It wasn't a very tough one for me. I know I'm getting older, but at the same time I still feel like I've got a lot I can prove in this league. With that being said, it really wasn't that hard of a decision for me." Despite being well into his thirties, Kelce remains a critical force in the Chiefs' offense. In the 2024–25 season, he recorded 97 receptions, 823 yards, and three touchdowns—numbers that many younger tight ends would envy. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Memperdagangkan CFD Emas dengan salah satu spread terendah? There's no denying Kelce's legacy is already cemented, but he's still hungry to build on it. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, now entering his 27th year as an NFL head coach, has coached legends before—but Kelce is a unique case. Reid understands the delicate balance between pushing a star player and protecting his longevity. "He's in great shape right now, so I think he's looking forward to getting going," Reid noted after Thursday's practice. Asked whether Kelce's age factors into workload management, Reid offered a lighthearted but telling response. "Listen, I always watch him, I always keep an eye on him. I know he's getting older, he doesn't know he's getting older, but I do," Reid said with a smile. "So I can be the bad guy in some cases there if needed. If I think it's catching up to him a little bit, I'll pull off and put him where he needs to be. He hasn't shown me any of that yet; he's done really well with it." The minicamp, which runs through Thursday, has offered a first glimpse of a focused, fired-up Kelce—clearly still enjoying every snap and every drill. For the Chiefs, his return brings not just leadership and experience, but also the emotional spark that could power them to yet another Super Bowl Sunday. As long as Kelce keeps suiting up, Kansas City remains a team no opponent can take lightly.
