A recent behind-the-scenes video from Vishnu Manchu's 'Kannappa' went viral, where his father, actor
Mohan Babu
, talked about buying 7,000 acres in New Zealand for his son
Vishnu
. The video, shared by actor
Brahmaji
, grabbed attention due to Mohan's remark.
Amid the ongoing social media reactions and misinterpretations, Brahmaji himself cleared the air.
Check out the post here:
Brahmaji took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle and wrote, 'Guys, come on! That video I posted with Mr Mohan Babu garu and Vishnu Manchu was pure fun, just a bunch of us having a good laugh like we always do. (sic),' he wrote.
Brahmaji confirms the video was made for fun
He further added, 'We joked about buying 7,000 acres in New Zealand, even owning the mountains! Vishnu played along, Mohan Babu garu was in full comic form, and I was pulling their leg as usual.'
The actor made it clear that the video was only made for fun.
Watch the viral video here:
He concluded, 'But suddenly people have started believing it's real?! 😳 Arrey bhai… if buying 7,000 acres in New Zealand was that easy, I'd be shooting there every weekend! Let me clear it up before the jokes turn into news headlines. Nobody bought any land. It was all in jest. New Zealand doesn't even allow that kind of land ownership for non-citizens.
Please don't take humour so seriously, especially when Kannappa is around the corner and we're all in high spirits! Now smile, laugh a little, and don't turn comedy into something else 😁 #KannappaOnJune27.

Rishabh Pant raises the bar, sets up day 5 for India

CHENNAI: On air, Dinesh Karthik came up with a lovely line to describe KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant match-altering 195-run stand on a lovely Monday afternoon sandwiched by lunch. "Classical music," the cricketer-turned-pundit said. "at one end and hip-hop on the other end." It kind of captured the contrasting 100s by both. If Rahul's was classy, Pant's was chancy, it resembled a man who kept winning at the poker table despite holding at least one deuce card on a lot of occasions. At one point, the stump mic even caught him disparaging himself. "I just need to middle, I don't need to do anything out of the ordinary," or something to that extent in Hindi (Karthik helped translate this to English). It was during a tense phase of play when the hosts' bowlers were finding the right areas and asking all sorts of awkward questions. It reflected in the scoring rate (under 3). There were a couple of the now trademark Pant shimmies when he connected with air. The falling over sweep off a pacer resulted in an inside edge and on to pad. There were several plays and misses. After lunch, one outside edge flew through first slip to the boundary when the cordon was empty as Ben Stokes focused on containing. Later, an outside fizzed via second slip, with first slip wishing he had a bigger frame. It was just that kind of day.

Kannappa will have a runtime of around Two hours and 50 minutes: Editor Anthony Gonsalvez

One of the country's top editors Antony Gonsalvez, who is also the editor of the pan-Indian magnum opus, 'Kannappa', has now disclosed that the run time of the devotional, historical film would be around two hours and 50 minutes. Talking to IANS on the sidelines of a pre-release event organised by the film's makers in Chennai on Monday, Anthony Gonsalvez said that the film's run time would be around 2 hours and 50 minutes but the film wouldn't appear long as the story would keep moving at a brisk pace. "There are three tracks happening simultaneously in the film. The first one is about an atheist turning a believer and then a devotee. Then there is a romantic track that is happening. The third track is about an external threat to the clan. So, between the three tracks, the story will move at a brisk pace, he explained. Scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on June 27, Kannappa has triggered huge expectations in fans and film buffs. The film, which has been directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, has Vishnu Manchu playing the titular role of Thinnadu(Kannappa), the fearless warrior-turned-devotee who transformed into the ultimate devotee of Lord Shiva. Akshay Kumar essays the role of Lord Shiva, while Mohanlal commands attention as Kirata. Prabhas sets the stage for an unforgettable cinematic experience with his role of Rudra. Fans crash the CBFC website for Vijay's 'Beast' censor details Talking about the film, Vishnu Manchu, had, in a statement earlier, said, "This film is incredibly close to my heart. It brings to life a historical tale that is often referred to as mythology. By Lord Shiva's blessings, everything has fallen into place, from the breathtaking locations to the incredible star cast." Director Mukesh Kumar Singh had said, "'Kannappa' is more than just a story; it is a tribute to faith, devotion, and the power of transformation. Every frame has been meticulously crafted to bring this legendary tale to life in a way that resonates with modern audiences while staying true to its roots. We are excited for the world to experience the grandeur of 'Kannappa'."
