Everything you need to know as dates for Amazon Prime Day released
With just weeks to go until Amazon Prime Days, here's everything you need to know about the shopping event
The return of summer not only means basking in the sunshine with an Aperol in hand to get a sun-kissed glow, or spending as much time outdoors to make the most of the summer's heat - although that's a big plus. For us shopping writers and bargain hunters, it means the reawakening of one of the industry's most anticipated events, Amazon Prime Day, which sees thousands of deals on a whole host of household, work, play and other miscellaneous items.
Each year, the shopping giant drops a series of pretty epic reductions that make treating ourselves to a new beauty gadget, hair styler, vacuum cleaner, coffee machine, pair of trainers, sandals or even mobile phone that little bit easier on the purse strings.
Prime 'Day' this year is extended to more than just one day and for the first time will last for 96 hours. In 2025, the 4-day event will take place between Tuesday, July 8 and Friday, July 11, starting at 00:01 on July 8 and ending at 11:59pm on July 11.
Similar to just some of the popular deals of years past, the shopping event will see discounts on massive brand names such as like Bose, De'Longhi, Dyson, Lego, Shark, CeraVe, Ninja, and Sonos.
What's new in 2025?
New for this year, Amazon is introducing a dedicated page 'Today's Big Deals', which will feature daily themes curated exclusively for Prime members, including limited-time 'New Deal Drop' deals which will launch at midnight each day of the extravaganza. Of course, those eligible for access to these deals must be Prime members.
It will also run for double the time, lasting four days running from July 8 to July 11.
How to sign up to Amazon Prime?
Those wanting to sign up for the event don't need to fully commit either as they can start a free trial at amazon.co.uk/primeday to take part. The free trial lasts for 30 days and during this time they can enjoy fast and free delivery along. To stay on, it'll cost £8.99 per month or £95 per year. Young adults aged 18-22 can also become a Prime member to enjoy all the same benefits for half the price at £4.49 per month or £47.49 a year.
If July 8 is too far away, Amazon runs some pretty impressive deals throughout the year with discounts on some popular brands currently running.
Current Amazon Deals worth looking at
With the next heatwave in our midst, Amazon has reduced the price of this Bladeless Personal Fan which is to be worn around the neck by 45%. Down from £35.99 to £19.66, it comes in four different colours and has three different speeds - for different levels of sweltering heat.
For something a little more permanent to help us keen cool in the warmer weather, especially when working from home, the Dreo 42 Inch Pilot Max Smart Tower Fan, 25dB Quiet Cooling Fan has 20% off for a limited time and now costs £127.49 instead of £159.99.
The oscillating electric fan has four different modes and can be controlled via a remote control or the Dreo app. 'Quieter than ever imagined', the fan has optimized air outlets and ultra-wide 120-degree cooling enable Dreo Pilot Max bladeless fan to circulate mind-blowing cool around the whole room.
With a 4.7 star rating, shoppers have raved they are 'super impressed with just how good this fan is'. One person said the fan was a 'true game-changer in the realm of cooling solutions'.
For those happy to spend a little bit extra for a fan that does more, the Shark FlexBreeze Pro Mist Indoor & Outdoor Fan & Outdoor Misting System, which is down to £219.99 from £249.99. Built with a feature that can also spray a mist of water alongside the fan, making cooling down in a heatwave way easier, it's a nifty device that'll help you save on your water bill with no need to set the hose up outside to keep cool whilst sunbathing.
Amazon Prime Day often throws up some good deals on mobile phones too but if desperately needing a deal now, Samsung's Galaxy A16 4G Android Smartphone is down by 18% for a limited time only and now costs £139 instead of £169.
The phone comes with multiple cameras (a 50MP Main Camera, a 5MP Ultra Wide Camera for landscapes, a 2MP Macro Camera for close-ups and a 13MP Front Camera for selfies), 128GB storage, a 3-year manufacturer extended warranty and three different colours.
Heading to a festival this year? To avoid phones, fans and any other electrical device losing power, a battery power bank is a good investment and this INIU 140W 27000mAh Portable Charger, which usually retails at £92.98 is down to £67.99. Coming in six different colours including red and yellow, the battery pack has 'super fast' charging and can even handle bigger devices such as laptops.
Need a brand new vacuum cleaner but haven't been able to splurge full price on some of the better brands? Shark's Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner with Anti Hair Wrap has had £100 knocked off its price on Amazon and now costs £179.
Made with anti-hair wrap technology - ideal for those with pets who have both long and short hair - and 40 minutes running time, the vacuum cleaner is crafted with a flexology wand to help get into the nooks and crannies regular devices can't reach.
It can also transform into a handheld hoover for when the car, stairs or sofa needs cleaning.
Highly recommended by a large portion of Amazon shoppers, one happy customer cited: 'I am very impressed with my purchase. Most of my home is carpeted and previous cordless models have been pretty useless. Find this to be very good suction, easy to manoeuvre and fold. I like how it will automatically change to hard floors in kitchen and bathroom without me having to alter switches, not too heavy for me at 76 years old and can carry upstairs easily. It lasted me 45 minutes on a full charge. And a 5 year warranty included. Would highly recommended.'
Someone else added: 'This is a cracking multi-functional hoover for your household. What you notice first is the blade type rollers rather than traditional brushes. This is quite innovative and stops long hairs clogging the system. Next the bendy arm which is pretty cool and easily enables you to reach under furniture with little bending, handy for my old knees. And finally, it converts nicely into a handheld device which is great for stairs, nooks and crannies and the car boot etc. Charging is via a simple wired adaptor with no mounting dock.
'I have found this to be a great item with long battery life and excellent 'hoovering' performance over hard and soft floors with no crevice or corner out of bounds. It is fairly easy to empty the good sized bin though storage isn't so elegant as the extra tools need to be stored separately in the bag provided but I would much rather have them than not.'
Although others deemed it a bit 'overpriced' for its features (although, this may not be the case whilst on sale). One person left a three star review and said: 'The power is not very strong. It does the job, but once a month I still take me older vacuum cleaner to vacuum properly.
"It can't stand up straight when in use, but has to lean against a wall when moving items to vacuum. Not too impressed, especially if you are used to a stronger machine.'
If £179 is a little steep, VAX's Pace Cordless Vacuum Cleaner has been reduced to £119.99 down from £179.99 and has a range of similar features to Shark's, such as use on carpets and hard floors, cordless power and a 40 minute run time.
Amazon's Prime Days often have some pretty good deals on beauty and hair care products, including hair dryers, straighteners curlers and more. But ahead of time, for those needing a new styler now, Amazon has reduced the Shark SpeedStyle Hair Dryer (with four different attachments) by 25% making the device £134.99 instead of £179.99.
Also on sale are the ghd Gold Hair Straightener & Styler, which have been reduced to £132.25 down from £189. This price beat's Lookfantastic's £151.20 and Boots' £154.99. The price just about beats Cloud Nine's £30 off deal which sees its renowned Touch Iron reduced from £189 to £159.

Shoppers dub cooling blanket a 'game-changer during hot nights' amid sale
'I love it, it really cools you down on hot nights, my little girl has nabbed it from me now so I will have to buy a second one.' While the weather has been seen to fluctuate over the past few months, the nights are certainly warmer, which has caused many people to struggle with getting to sleep. And with a heatwave set to hit the country this weekend, many people are looking for ways to keep cool during the night. While fans can be a popular option, they can also be nosy and ultimately add an extra cost to your bills. For those looking for an alternative option, Amazon has dropped the price of a product that shoppers are dubbing a "game-changer". The Luxear Cooling Blanket comes in a variety of sizes, but the 220cm by 240cm edition has been given a price slash as part of a limited time deal. Normally retailing for £44.99, shoppers who struggle to sleep in the heat can now grab it for £38.24. Designed with Arc-Chill 3.0 Japanese technology, this cooling blanket is said to deliver a cool, calm, sweat-free night during the hot summer months. With a Q-Max 0.5, this blanket delivers a cool feeling when it is touched, which will help regulate the user's temperature. While there are different sizes available for shoppers, this edition is perfect for those who have a double or king size bed. Described as a super light and portable, this blanket can be taken on trips away in the car, hiking, or simply thrown over the sofa. The blanket also comes with moist absorption to avoid the formation of bacteria, and it is also said to be friendly for the skin and anti-allergenic. Additionally, this blanket is machine washable and it can be used all year round as one side features the cold material, while the other is made of 100 per cent cotton for a breathable and flexible blanket. Another popular cooling blanket available on Amazon is the Elegear Cooling Blanket. Currently down to £33.99 in a limited time deal (RRP £39.99), this blanket is said to be able to reduce the skin's temperature by two to five degrees as it is specifically designed for night sweats and hot sleepers. Alternatively, shoppers can save £10 on the Silentnight Restore Cooling Throw. Normally retailing for £45, shoppers can get this throw for £35 in a limited time deal. Made with innovative cooling fabrics, this product can be used as either a blanket or a duvet. For those worried about lack of sleep during the heatwave, Luxear's Cooling Blanket has become popular amongst customers as it currently boasts a 4.3 star rating. Many shoppers have praised the blanket for its cool touch and how it has improved their sleep. One happy shopper said: "I bought the Luxear Cooling Blanket for summer, and it's been a game-changer during hot nights. The Arc-Chill technology really works—this blanket keeps you cool and comfortable, even when the temperature rises. The fabric feels smooth and breathable, and I've noticed I sleep a lot better without overheating." While another five-star reviewer commented: "I love it, it really cools you down on hot nights, my little girl has nabbed it from me now so I will have to buy a second one. The blanket feels quite heavy, which is quite cosy too. Colour is nice, good value for money." However, a few shoppers had slight issues with the blanket, as one person said: "I wish this was a duvet cover instead of a blanket as it doesn't stay put on the bed. Lovely to feel the cooler side on these hot nights." While another person added: "Useful to help keep you cool in the heat but will eventually obviously stop being able to take the heat away from you so will warm up. Also not entirely sure how I'm going to wash it as it's already quite weighted so not sure how heavy it will be once wet!" On the flip side, a delighted shopper said: "Was a bit sceptical at first but honestly couldn't be happier, product is super soft and durable and actually slept really well with the arc-chill 3.0 would highly recommend." With a further person writing: "I was sceptical, but very pleased with the cooling properties of this blanket. I struggle to regulate my temperature, and during the recent warm weather this was an absolute godsend, particularly at night, as I cannot sleep without something over me, no matter how warm it is." Ninja's 'perfect' pizza oven that cooks 12-inch pizzas in minutes is now £110 off
The Ninja Artisan Pizza Oven with Cover is now £219.95 down from £324.98 at QVC - it's cheaper than Ninja website and Amazon. As the summer season draws near, it brings with it the prospect of garden parties, alfresco dining, and enjoying the sunshine with delectable food. One essential that most people crave during this time is a pizza, but ordering a takeaway for the entire family can be costly. This is why pizza ovens are becoming a must-have item in gardens and homes. However, finding the right one can be challenging, especially one that won't empty your wallet. Fortunately, shoppers are in luck as they can snap up the Ninja Artisan Pizza Oven with Cover from QVC for £219.95, reduced from £324.98 - which is also cheaper than on the Ninja website (£229.99) and Amazon (£229). New QVC shoppers can also get an extra £5 off with the code FIVE4U, bringing the total down to £214.95. The Ninja pizza oven allows shoppers to whip up delicious 12-inch pizzas in mere minutes. It's electric, so there's no need for flames or gas - simply plug it in and start cooking. With five pizza settings such as Thin Crust, New York and Deep Dish, shoppers can perfect their favourite style every time. It even comes with a pizza peel, stone, and a cover to keep it safe outdoors, reports the Mirror. This oven does more than just pizza, as shoppers can bake bread, air fry meals, and prove dough - all outside. It also heats up to 370 degrees and fits a full meal, like chicken wings or chips. There's a window so customers can watch their food cook. Simple controls also make it easy to use, and it's ideal for gardens, patios or balconies. If the Ninja option doesn't tick all the boxes, customers could consider the Argos Ooni Koda 12 Gas-Powered Pizza Oven, priced £299, boasting quick gas ignition, 15-minute cooking readiness, and 500-degree temperature capabilities - resulting in 60-second pizza cooking times. Alternatively, Vonhaus's more budget-friendly Outdoor Pizza Oven, costing £129.99, offers portability, accommodating 12-inch pizzas and rapid heating of up to 350 degrees within 15 minutes. On QVC's platform, buyers have awarded the Ninja pizza oven an average of 4.7 stars out of 5. Comments include: "So quick and easy and the pizzas were lovely. Perfectly cooked every time Also tried the air fryer function and it was to the usual NINJA standard too." One reviewer expressed being 'very impressed', as it exceeded their expectations. They said: "Big enough for a 12-inch pizza but small enough to easily move. The oven heats up fairly quickly, but then retains the heat if making several pizzas." Another said: "Exactly as expected. Feels solid, makes you feel confident it can produce the desired heat, safely and with ease." However, one user noted: "One thing I would say is that the pizza was a bit too dark for me and I've heard others say the same." Another customer commented: "Amazing! Made gluten-free from frozen bases and normal ones from fresh bases and they were the best pizzas we have had in a long time! Toppings - less is more for sure! Really impressed - 3 pizzas in under 15 mins!". The Ninja Artisan Pizza Oven with Cover can be found at its lowest price on QVC.
