Shoppers using their BisB Visa Credit Cards this summer could land luxury holidays to the Maldives or Seychelles, as part of Bahrain Islamic Bank's latest travel-themed campaign rewarding everyday spending.

The annual Summer Promotional Campaign, launched by BisB on Saturday, offers customers a chance to win one of two high-end vacations for two, simply by using their Visa Credit Cards for purchases of BHD 50 or more between June 1st and August 31st. Every eligible transaction earns an entry into the draw, with five bonus entries awarded for purchases made in foreign currency. The campaign also includes cashback rewards for 50 additional winners, with up to BHD 100 returned on qualifying purchases.

Faisal Al Abdulla, Chief Retail Banking Officer at BisB, said the campaign is designed to align banking with customer aspirations. 'We believe in rewarding our customers not just for banking with us, but for living life to the fullest,' he said. 'This annual campaign is a celebration of our customers' loyalty and a reflection of our ongoing mission to simplify money matters while offering meaningful, travel-inspired rewards.'
The initiative reflects BisB's growing emphasis on customer engagement through lifestyle-focused incentives tied to digital and card-based spending.

Maersk halts stops in Israel's Haifa due to Iran-Israel conflict

TDT | Manama *Danish shipping giant Maersk announced Friday that it was temporarily suspending vessel calls in Israel's Haifa port due to the country's conflict with Iran. Maersk said it made the decision after "careful analysis of threat risk reports in the context of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, specifically regarding the potential risks of calling Israeli ports and the ensuing implications for the safety of our vessel crews".
