The Warrens take on their last and most dangerous case in The Conjuring: Last Rites, watch teaser
Warner Bros recently released the teaser for The Conjuring: Last Rites, which will follow renowned exorcists Ed and Lorraine as they take on their final case. The horror franchise, based on the lives of real-life exorcists Ed Warren and Lorraine Warren, has spanned eight films to date. This upcoming installment is based on the last case the couple handled in their prolific careers.
The teaser opens with a scene inside the basement of the Warrens, and Ed warns his visitors against touching anything. You can see several artefacts that they have collected over the years, including the dangerous doll named Annabelle. As the camera pans towards different items, Ed says, 'Everything you see in here is either haunted, cursed or has been used in some ritualistic practices. Nothing's a toy, not even the toys.'

As the teaser proceeds, Ed talks about dealing with over thousand cases and how all of them were different. As the new family in question is introduced, Ed says, 'Anything can happen, and most likely anything will happen,' as we see another possessed toy. The Warrens seem to be talking about the case to someone who is interested in the story, and the movie will most likely be in the form of memories of that particular case. This becomes more apparent as we see a tape recorder starting up and cameras being pointed at a couple who seem to look like the Warrens, but older.
There is a montage of different entities terrorising people, as Lorraine's voice is heard (presumably over the phone), and she says, 'Ed, something has changed; something is different,' and then we see her drop a locket into a sink filled with blood, and quickly the blood starts filling up the entire room. As we see more horrifying visuals, a message appears on the screen which reads, 'Discover why this case was their last.'
The Conjuring: Last Rites, which is releasing on September 5, will be helmed by Michael Chavez, who has directed films like The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021), Nun 2 (2023) and The Curse of La Llorna (2019).

Raj Kundra, who was arrested in July 2021 in connection with a pornography case, has opened up about the harrowing two months he spent in Arthur Road jail. But the real pain was watching my loved ones suffer because of my headlines," he said. The most emotional part of his revelation was about his family's unwavering support, particularly wife Shilpa Shetty. 'Shilpa stood by me with grace and resilience, even when it would've been easier to walk away. My kids gave me reason to smile when I felt like disappearing. That kind of unconditional support rewires your soul," Raj said. Kundra, who is now making his acting debut in the Punjabi film Mehar, said he's not interested in stardom but in telling meaningful stories. 'I'm not chasing stardom — I'm chasing stories," he added. Superman director and DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn revealed how the honest opinions of fans and movie buffs aren't always overlooked. It was after several clips and trailers of the highly anticipated movie, Superman, were released that social media users pointed towards a specific moment in one of the clips. It featured a flying David Corenswet, decked up in his on-screen Superman character's costume, which caught many eyes. In a recent interview, James Gunn was asked about the moment in the Superman clip featuring David Corenswet's flight, which, according to many, was no less than a 'CG superimposed thing." To this, the Superman director admitted the clip 'kind of got by" him. Contrary to many other creatives like him in the field, Gunn explained that he was somewhat aware of the fan reactions to his works. Further, Gunn, who is known to shoot extra footage for promotional content of the upcoming movie's release, responded, 'No, I don't think it was so much. It was a TV commercial, and it wasn't a finished visual effects shot." 'So the part of him flying, it was a photograph of his face and him flying," Gunn described the creative aspect shot being used in the clip, adding, 'It was a photograph of a drone flying in front of an actual background. So all the pieces were real, but it was incorporated in kind of a funky way." Although he highlighted the techniques being applied to the shot, Gunn was personally not much impressed with the same, 'I didn't love the shot, so it's not even the shot that's in the movie," he clarified. Further, opening up about his cinematic visions, he disclosed, 'Sometimes I'm pretty strict about when I'm going through a trailer and looking at each of the shots, but sometimes, the commercials, I forget to look at this closely. So that one kind of got by me." Based on the DC Studios co-CEO's statements, it seems that the clip featuring David Corenswet's flight is reportedly a part of the extra content being shot for the trailers and others. FYI: The moment referenced in the interview is when Corenswet takes off a flight at the last 4 seconds of the 30-second video that caught everyone's attention and became a part of a huge discussion on X.
