Indiana Fever laud praise upon waived guard Aari McDonald
With the announcement of the return of both Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham on Friday, the Indiana Fever have subsequently waived guard Aari McDonald from her hardship contract in order to comply with the WNBA's Collective Bargaining Agreement.
While the roster cut was needed to bring back Clark and Cunningham from injury, Fever head coach Stephanie White applauded the emergency hardship guard for her ability to provide stability to the roster while it was shorthanded.
"She's going to find a spot. I don't think that's a debate right now. She's been at the ultimate pro," White said. "She came in ready to go. She had watched such a large amount of film just on her flight in here that you could tell already her high IQ. She's a dog, and we're going to miss her, certainly. What she brought to the table for us, and being able to come in at the point guard position and just really impact us right away was huge."
In her three games of action for the Fever, McDonald averaged 11.0 points on 42.9% from the field, 37.5% from 3-point territory, and 69.2% from the free-throw line on 25:18 of playing time per game. In additon to her scoring touch, she also averaged 3.0 assists, 2.0 steals, 1.3 rebounds, and 0.3 blocks per contest.
In order to comply with the league's CBA rules, McDonald's contract will be automatically terminated once the Fever reach 10 game-available players on their roster.

Ohio State men's hockey releases 2025-2026 nonconference schedule
The Ohio State men's hockey team surprised a lot of people with their unexpectedly high level of play this past season. The Buckeyes lost a lot of key players but found a way to plug in more talent and shock a lot of people by making it to the Big Ten Tournament Championship Game en route to a berth in the NCAA Tournament. Texas A&M commit and 2026 4-star WR invited to Rivals Five-Star event
Texas A&M's 2026 recruiting class is chock-full of talent at every position. Over the past week, two of the program's elite commits, four-star quarterback Helaman Casuga and four-star edge rusher Jordan Carter, have been invited to the annual Rivals Five-Star event in Indianapolis, Indiana, which now features the Aggies' top-ranked wide receiver commit. On Friday, it was revealed that 2024 four-star wide receiver Aaron Gregory has become the newest A&M commit to be invited to the event of the summer, showcasing his elite talent. This is highly unsurprising, given his impressive play this summer during various camps, where he demonstrated his elite route-running and improved downfield speed. Earlier this month, running back Jonathan Hatton and tight end Caleb Tafua, along with Gregory, shut down their recruitment and will sign with the program as soon as Early Signing Day on December 4. During his 2024 junior season at Douglas County HS, Gregory reeled in 53 receptions for 914 yards and nine touchdowns after recording 795 yards and eight touchdowns during the previous season. Gregory's ability to quickly separate in coverage and make plays after the catch is similar to former A&M wideout and current Oregon standout Evan Stewart. As soon as Gregory steps on campus, the Georgia native has a chance to climb up the 2026 depth chart as a third or fourth option during his freshman season.
