This Woman Schemes To Earn Rs 11 Crore By Robbing Wealthy Men
A woman from rural China allegedly pretended to be a socialite to date and rob affluent men so as to save up to 10 million yuan (Rs 11.7 crore) for a down payment on a home.
Yin Xue, 24, was taken into custody following the eventual collapse of her elaborate plan to earn over a million dollars from wealthy men, the South China Morning Post reported.
It was Yin's dream to buy a house in the elite city of Shenzhen and bring her family back together in five years. She opted for the unconventional route to fulfil her wish.
To save money, Yin first worked as a sales assistant, model, and live streamer while working at a Beijing hotel. But that was never enough.
In March 2021, Yin joined local dating and social chat groups while working at a karaoke bar in Shanghai. Self-assured, she rebranded herself as a socialite to attract wealthy men.
She took courses on fine dining, wine tasting, and etiquette, maintained a rigorous fitness regimen, and used most of her savings for plastic surgery.
Confident of her newly acquired skills and abilities, Yin started dating wealthy men and living in their opulent residences in Shanghai. She robbed them once they were away.
She even employed expert movers to clear out entire homes, stealing everything from furniture and appliances to handbags and designer belts. She then sold everything on online marketplaces for used goods.
In a matter of months, Yin allegedly stole almost 200,000 yuan (US$30,000) from eight men. Fearing public humiliation, the majority of her victims remained silent.
Yin's ninth lover, Zhang, caught her in the act after he installed security cameras inside his house and watched his alleged lover looting his house. She was taken into custody and charged with fraud and theft.
Despite her extensive robberies, Yin lived a modest lifestyle, renting a basement room in a Shanghai hotel, using free makeup samples, and spending less than 30 yuan (US$4) each day.
"All I wanted was money to purchase a home. I didn't spend recklessly," she told the police.
Yin Xue was raised in a poor household in rural Hunan, central China. Her desire to have a "luxurious life" stemmed from attending an extravagant wedding when she was only 18. The couple's expensive clothing, villa, and private staff made Yin envious and ambitious.

"Together, let us strive to protect the rights and dignity of every child," Sophie said. The police commissioner issued the reminder following a letter to him by the Juvenile Justice Board Dimapur on June 18, stating that apprehension of a child in conflict with law, along with name, had been published in local newspaper(s), which is a clear violation of Section 74 of the Juvenile Justice Act that prohibits the disclosure of identity of a child in conflict with law. The Juvenile Justice Board sought the police commissioner's prompt attention and intervention in the matter, considering the legal safeguards provided to children under the juvenile justice framework.

Youth turns mobile snatcher to repay loans, arrested
Indore: Tilak Nagar police have arrested a mobile snatcher with the help of CCTV footage and technical surveillance. Additional DCP Amrendra Singh said that the accused, 25-year-old Akhilesh, a resident of Ramukhedi in Indore, was arrested following an incident of mobile snatching that took place on the night of March 6 in front of Shalimar Palm on the service road in Tilak Nagar. A complaint was registered at Tilak Nagar police station. Upon questioning, Akhilesh confessed to snatching mobile phones to repay debts he incurred. He worked at a dry fruits factory in Khudel and took loans and borrowed money from others. Unable to meet his repayment obligations, he turned to crime, targeting unsuspecting victims across multiple police station areas, including Tilak Nagar, Kanadia, Azad Nagar, and Khajrana. The police have recovered a total of 12 stolen mobile phones from his possession along with the motorcycle used in the theft. The estimated value of the seized items is around Rs 5 lakh.

Rear-grille break-in: Burglars clean out valuables worth 19L from Rajkot home
R ajkot: In a major burglary incident, unidentified thieves broke into a locked house in Rajkot on Thursday night and made away with cash and gold jewellery worth nearly Rs 19 lakh. The crime came to light early Friday morning when the residents returned home and discovered the theft. The incident occurred while 50-year-old Neela Chauhan, a widow, and her daughter were away attending a family function at her brother's home. Upon their return, they found the house ransacked and valuables missing from cupboard drawers. A case was subsequently registered at the B Division police station. According to the FIR, the burglars gained entry by breaking the rear grille of the house. They stole Rs 9.6 lakh in cash and around 240 grams of gold ornaments, leading to an estimated total loss of Rs 19 lakh. Chauhan, who lost her husband to illness in 2019, lives with her daughter, while her son is engaged in the timber business. Following the complaint, senior police officers along with the city crime branch and a dog squad team rushed to the scene and began an investigation.
