Nara Smith On Why She's Okay With 4 Kids At A Young Age

Buzz Feed12-06-2025

I'm sure you've heard of model and influencer Nara Smith.
The social media star has over 11 million followers on TikTok, and she's known for slice of life, aka "tradwife" content, with her seductive ASMR voiceovers.
Nara, who's currently 23 years old, is expecting her fourth child with model and influencer Lucky Blue Smith, 27, and she's online defending her choice to have so many kids at her age.
In a June 11 GRWM video, Nara answered a few Q&A questions from her followers, one in particular addressing why she and Lucky chose to have so many kids.
"No, I'm not having this many kids because I'm Mormon," Nara explained. "I'm not Mormon. I just always wanted to be a young mom and do everything while I was really young. And I think that's just a personal preference for me."
Nara married Lucky when she was only 20 years old, but explained that how she lived in her teens prepared her for her life as a mother at her current age. "I did a lot of the things that people in their 20s do when I was a teenager," Nara said. "So now, I felt like I was ready to start a new chapter and do other things, which is being a mom. And I love being a mom and making that choice."
Nara and Lucky have three children: Rumble Honey, 4, Slim Easy, 3, and Whimsy Lou, 14 months, and now they're expecting another. In the video, Nara explained that she and Lucky didn't plan on having another kid after Whimsy Lou. "This was a surprise baby," she said.
Nara said she was six months pregnant (noting that she used movie magic to conceal her tummy in her recent content) and shared why she waited to share the news. "I waited to share for as long as I feel like I could because I knew that people were going to have all kinds of opinions. And me personally, I had to get used to the idea as well of having another kid since I'm mentally prepped to be done after Whimsy."
Having multiple children before her 24th birthday works for Nara and her husband because they've got the "tag-teaming" down pat. "Lucky and I are really good at tag-teaming," she said. "We tag-team and really figure out our work schedules and what we have to do. And then the other person takes care of the kids. Then when we're lucky, family come and help out when we're both traveling or when it's too much, and the workload is piling up. So, we're kind of managing it like that."
"No, I don't have a nanny. No I don't have a whole team helping me. It's just me, my husband and any family that's available to help," she continued.
Nara added that she's "excited" and that they know the gender but won't announce it until the baby is born. Like the three children before, she plans to have an at-home birth. "All in all, this has been my easiest pregnancy so far. So adjusting this time around has been so much easier for me."
In my opinion, having four kids under 5 years old before you're even 24 is a flex because I can't even take care of two succulents for a month, and I'm twice her age.
Congratulations to Nara and Lucky!

Aunt Comes to Meet Third Niece but There's a Problem: 'Judging So Hard'

In a clip posted by Julia on TikTok (@ju_milll), her 21-year-old sister holds her baby niece Blake with a panicked look on her face. "I handed baby over to hopefully catch a sweet moment, but it turned out so much funnier," Julia told Newsweek. Woman, 21, holding newborn baby with her two nieces watching. Woman, 21, holding newborn baby with her two nieces watching. @ju_milll When Blake starts to wriggle and cry, the woman squeals, "Why is she doing that?! What do I do?!" "POV: your sister comes to meet her third niece and aunt mode still hasn't been activated," the text overlay read. The clip then cuts to Julia's two older children: Scarlet, 4, and Laynie, 2, watching their aunt with the kind of judgment that showed they weren't exactly impressed with her parenting style. Even Julia's partner Matt turned around to see what all the commotion was about. In the caption, Julia joked: "Generational trauma starts now." According to the mom of three, her sister who was visiting home from TCU is the best aunt. "My [kids] are obsessed with her, she just gets nervous around babies," she said. While her hands may be shaky with a newborn, her bond with the kids is rock solid. Julia's sister, who owns an art-focused business called Cork and Canvas Co, has carved out her aunt niche in a more creative way—connecting with her nieces and nephew through painting and playful expression. "[She] really connects with my kids through art," Julia told Newsweek. The clip, which has been viewed 1.7 million times, received over a thousand comments from other users with their own stories of nervous uncles and the universal chaos of handing a baby to someone who hasn't quite figured out which end is which. "They're all looking at her like, girl, you've had the practice... what's the issue?" one user commented. "Glad I'm [not] the only one," another said. Many others found the kids' reactions to their aunt's faux pas hilarious. "The older sister is judging so hard," one user laughed. "That side eye is genetic," another wrote. "Girls got the look from dad that's for sure," said another. Do you have any viral videos or pictures that you want to share? We want to see the best ones! Dog Owner Asks Groomer For 'The Standard' Cut, Unprepared For New Look

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Many of us have had our fair share of bad haircuts over the years, and now Lulu the toy caboodle has also joined that list after a very unfortunate trip to the groomers. Dog owner Amit Sharma, 26, shared a hilarious post on TikTok (@thisisasharma) showing what Lulu looked like when he dropped her off at the groomers, before revealing the drastic comparison of the dog he picked up. Lulu's thick coat of fluffy brown fur was cut right back to a very short layer all over, except for the top of her head which remained hysterically voluminous. Her new look certainly caught Sharma by surprise, as he told Newsweek that it took him about "five minutes to process her hair" when he saw it. Sharma, of Sydney, Australia, said: "I was shocked in a funny and weird way because I just knew my mom would've been even more shocked. I think I'm banned from taking her for a haircut again now." Since the comparison was shared on TikTok, it's gone viral with over 1.7 million views and more than 155,800 likes at the time of writing. Thankfully for Lulu, her fur has already started to grow back and she's looking "much better now" according to Sharma. However, next time he takes her to the groomers, he'll be sure to be more specific about what trim she needs, rather than just simply saying "the standard" like last time. Sharma didn't realize it was even possible for dogs to have bad haircuts prior to this—but he certainly knows it now. "She was quiet for 2 days after. I think she saw some things inside the hair salon," he told Newsweek. Although internet users may have been laughing at Lulu's expense (we've all been there), Sharma is delighted that his sweet pup could bring a smile to so many people's faces. After all, Lulu could easily pull off any new hairstyle anyway. Since the post went viral in May, plenty of TikTok users took to the comments section to laud Lulu's completely new appearance. This has led to more than 740 comments on the TikTok post so far, with some even insisting that it must be two different dogs. One comment reads: "Looking like he might go sign the Declaration of Independence." Another TikTok user wrote: "You sure that's the same dog?" Another person joked: "His villain origin story." While one commenter added: "The crimes that were committed!" Do you have funny and adorable videos or pictures of your pet you want to share? We want to see the best ones! ‘Pitch Perfect' star Anna Camp responds to criticism of 18-year age gap with her girlfriend

A pitch perfect relationship. Anna Camp, 42, defended her romance with her girlfriend Jade Whipkey, 24, from the criticism of their 18-year age gap. 'I've dated men exactly my age and Jade is far more mature than any of them,' the actress wrote in the comments section of a June 21 Instagram video that mentioned their age difference. 8 Anna Camp and her girlfriend Jade Whipkey. Camp added: 'Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I'm wishing everyone well especially this pride month.' 8 Anna Camp defends her relationship with her girlfriend on Instagram. Since soft-launching her relationship with Whipskey on social media last month, Camp has been facing backlash for dating someone nearly 20 years younger than her. 'I can't imagine having the necessary common ground to start a relationship with a 20 year old. What could they possibly have in common?' one fan wrote on the same Instagram post that Camp commented on. 'If a 42 year old is with a 24 year old, it's about power or control, even on a subconscious level,' another fan said. 8 Anna Camp with her new girlfriend Jade Whipkey. 'Then he said that I was prettier in a movie than I was in person, because I'm an actor and I was like, 'OK, bye!'' 'I don't expect anything,' Camp added when asked what she expected from a guy on a first date. 'Not anymore. Because I'm dating a woman, and it's great.'
