PinkPantheress Returns With New Mixtape ‘Fancy That'
PinkPantheress
In just a few short years since bursting onto the pop music scene, British singer PinkPantheress has risen to the heights of the Billboard Hot 100 chart and released a string of projects from her 2021 mixtape To Hell With It to her 2023 debut album Heaven Knows. For her latest outing, her sophomore mixtape Fancy That, the 'Boy's a Liar' singer continues to incorporate new influences into her unique bedroom pop sound and carving her own path in an industry that seeks to box her in.
PinkPantheress gave a first taste of the album last month with lead single 'Tonight," which became her latest song to break the top 40 on the Hot 100. On Fancy That, she explores the ups and downs of relationships with tracks like 'Girl Like Me' and 'Nice to Know You' and takes time to dance and have some fun on 'Noises' and 'Romeo.' She even gives a nod to To Hell With It on 'Stars' by sampling Just Jack's 2007 release "Starz in Their Eyes" as she did on her 2021 track 'Attracted to You. '
To help create the party, PinkPantheress looked back in time to classic British dance and electronic acts like Basement Jaxx, Groove Armada, and Fatboy Slim. 'I loved the size of the music,' she told Mixmag of these past inspirations. 'All the music sounds so big and grand and present, and I really wanted to make music where it sounds like a statement is being made with the songs. I feel like that was what appealed to me, and it's something that I wanted to take on board.'
As for her place in the music world as an artist with a one-of-a-kind sound and approach to fame, PinkPantheress refuses to let outside noise get to her.
'A lot of my career has been people telling me their perception of me rather than me saying who I am,' she said. 'Being a 'popstar' or being in the public eye can definitely make you lose yourself. I am somebody who knows myself down to the bone but I'm telling you, being a singer makes it so easy to think about what people think or want to hear and it makes you lose elements of your beginnings.'

Brad Pitt's Driving in 'F1: The Movie' Was ‘Signed off on' by Lewis Hamilton
If there wasn't enough pressure for Brad Pitt to endure some of the challenges F1 drivers face, imagine having to do it alongside one of the most highly decorated drivers in Formula One history. This was precisely the case for Pitt and fellow actor Damson Idris while filming the highly anticipated F1: The Movie. Lewis Hamilton, who holds the joint record for Formula One World Drivers' Championship titles (seven), is in the film, so he got an up-close look at Pitt and Idris on the track. While neither actor appears bound for Formula One after filming the movie, director Joseph Kosinski did reveal what Hamilton thought of Pitt and Idris' driving in F1: The Movie. Kosinski explained what went into creating the high-speed movie during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. While he mentioned "a lot of conversations with the insurance companies," he also stated that Hamilton "signed off" on Pitt and Idris, an impressive tip of the cap from the F1 star. "The good thing for me is that Brad and Damson both proved themselves to be incredible drivers," Kosinski said. "Very capable behind the wheel, they were signed off on by Lewis Hamilton himself." "So, as nerve-racking as it is to see them driving at this speed, I really had faith in their ability and also the team we put around them." You'd be hard-pressed to find a better endorsement for Pitt and Idris, and that fact alone had to put the director's mind at ease a bit while filming the movie. The duo's driving will officially be on display on June 27, when F1: The Movie hits Pitt's Driving in 'F1: The Movie' Was 'Signed off on' by Lewis Hamilton first appeared on Men's Journal on Jun 17, 2025

'F1: The Movie' Star Damson Idris Recalls Witnessing Brad Pitt's 'Sexy Walk' on Set
Ahead of the highly anticipated release of F1: The Movie, the actors have raved about their experiences while at the track, the time they put in preparing for the movie and just how thrilling it was driving a racecar. Among the many Formula One circuits the cast and crew attended was the popular Silverstone in England, which British actor and one of the movie's stars, Damson Idris, called his "home turf" during an interview with Variety. While Idris called the experience of filming F1: The Movie at Silverstone "amazing," he also got a full-blown glimpse of what he describes as "the sexy Brad Pitt walk" in an incredible and hilarious breakdown of the moment. Idris said he and fellow star in F1: The Movie, Pitt, stood with the drivers for the national anthem before walking back to the scene, and he detailed the moment to Variety. 'That's my home turf,' he said. 'And we got to stand with all the Formula One drivers; we got to sing the national anthem — there were fireworks going over — and then we got to walk back to the scene that we were going to shoot while 'We Will Rock You' is playing. I looked to the right: it's Brad Pitt. He's doing the sexy Brad Pitt walk. And I'm like, I need to try and look sexy too. But the whole experience was amazing.' First off, the description of the scene from Idris sounds incredible. But credit to the 33-year-old actor for the shoutout to Pitt, who's been named People's Sexiest Man Alive on two occasions—in 1995 and 2000. The 61-year-old actor is on a short list of actors who have earned the honor twice, along with George Clooney, Johnny Depp and Richard Gere. Pitt's swagger obviously rubbed off on Idris, considering his statement that he needed to "try and look sexy too." The duo of Pitt and Idris lead the way in the new F1: The Movie, and the film's early reviews are impressive. It's earned an 87 percent critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes ahead of the official June 27 premiere date.'F1: The Movie' Star Damson Idris Recalls Witnessing Brad Pitt's 'Sexy Walk' on Set first appeared on Men's Journal on Jun 19, 2025
