Islamic Affairs Ministry launches programs to distribute dates and serve iftar in Kosovo
RIYADH: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs this week launched the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' gift programs for distributing dates and serving iftar to people fasting in Kosovo, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The initiative, represented by the religious attache at the Kingdom's embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, took place at Aladdin High School in the capital, Pristina. It was launched in the presence of Consul at the Saudi Embassy in Albania Sultan Al-Sahli, and the Grand Mufti and Head of the Islamic Sheikhdom in Kosovo Sheikh Naim Ternava.
As part of the program, five tonnes of dates will be distributed, benefiting 20,000 individuals, while the iftar initiative will benefit about 6,000 Muslim men and women throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
According to SPA, Sheikh Amer Al-Anzi, the religious attache at the Kingdom's embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, said that the programs reaffirmed the Kingdom's long-standing commitment to supporting and leading Islamic initiatives.
He described them as a generous gesture by the Kingdom's leadership, reflecting its dedication to caring for Muslims and highlighting Saudi Arabia's support for Muslims around the world.
Sheikh Ternava said that the Kingdom had taken great historical and humanitarian stands with Kosovo in the humanitarian, developmental, economic, social and religious fields.
He said that these annual programs were evidence of Saudi Arabia's dedication to addressing the needs of Muslims, praying that the Kingdom's leadership would be rewarded for serving Islam and Muslims, particularly the Muslim community in Kosovo.

Raqeeb is designed to identify practices such as bid rigging, collusion, price manipulation, favoritism, and the use of fictitious entities. It enables dynamic monitoring and swift intervention while maintaining the highest standards of data protection. Saudi Arabia has expressed its deep concern over the US strikes on nuclear facilities in Iran, urging restraint to avoid more escalation, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement. 'Saudi Arabia is following with deep concern the developments' in Iran, particularly the targeting of Iranian nuclear facilities by the US, the statement said. Saudi nuclear watchdog, IAEA confirm no radiation detected after US strikes on Iran
TEHRAN — Saudi Arabia's Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission confirmed on Sunday that no radioactive contamination has been detected in the Kingdom or across the Gulf region following U.S. military strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. The statement was issued hours after Washington announced airstrikes on three key nuclear sites in Iran, including the heavily fortified Fordo facility. 'The Kingdom and the Gulf's environment remain safe. No radiation traces have been recorded as a result of the U.S. strikes on Iran's nuclear sites,' the Saudi authority said. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) echoed the findings, confirming that there has been no increase in off-site radiation levels reported so far. 'IAEA will provide further assessments on the situation in Iran as more information becomes available,' the agency said in a post on X. Iranian authorities also said no signs of radioactive contamination had been observed and assured that there is 'no danger to residents living near the affected sites.'The reassurance from nuclear watchdogs comes amid heightened regional anxiety, following U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement early Sunday that American forces conducted 'very successful' strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities. Trump said the attacks targeted Fordo, Natanz, and in the region have escalated dramatically since June 13, when Israel launched coordinated airstrikes on Iranian territory.
